I've been a fan of Ms Hye Kyo since the early 2000s, and am glad she was able to come out on top with The Glory after her name was dragged in the mud. She is one of the finest actresses in South Korea of her generation, and she only gets better with time. The thing is that most male and female actors and idols have a "no-dating allowed" rule in their contracts, often for at least ten years sometimes even more if they don't change agencies that allow them more freedom. They need to look being "available" for the fans out there. Divorce doesn't always take 2. It usually happens when either partner meets someone else, and they fall madly in love (with the sex) and they think the grass is greener. This usually applies to the man. And, in the entertainment business, this happens a lot. I don't know why entertainers (whether actors, actresses, singers, whatever) get married because marriage or relationships do not last. That is the way it goes.

My best guess is kids..they've been in relationship for 3 years and hye Kyo reaching 40 but still no kids but when he married his new wife they right away get pregnant. Son ye jin and hyun bin are 39 when they got married and right away got pregnant and have a child. So maybe HK doesn't want a kid and he do. So they separated.

We think he's a good actor but not as good as Song Hye Kyo and that's as far as it goes with us, we have not seen any of his movies from that time till today and probably won't watch his movies or dramas anymore. We don't think much of him as a human being and have tried but no longer respect him, from the time he divorced Song Hye Kyo and the way he went about it, to now. We also did not like the way his family and brother treated Song Hye kyo. We never agreed with all the hate she got, not only from netizens but his family as well. I've watched several dramas with Hye Kyo and have really enjoyed them. Then Descendants of the Sun came along and someone I had never heard about before was being praised. So I watched it. Next thing going on, he's divorcing Hye Kyo via the media. In my opinion, he used her to catapult his acting career, got to the top then discarded her with what seemed like flimsy excuses. Again, my opinion.
That’s not true. Even before Hye Kyo, he was getting a lot of accolades for his acting skills. He was popular for Sungkyunkwan Scandal even if he wasn’t the male lead. He was the fan favorite there along with Yoo Ah In. I was amazed at his short appearance for the 2011 kdrama Tree with Deep Roots. He had a short appearance there but he got producer’s award for that. Then he had Innocent Man kdrama, when he was cast people were skeptical because it was a heavy role and he was baby faced. He proved the critics wrong and he was amazing in it, he has great chemistry with the two female leads (one of them even older than his real life ex). In Werewolf Boy movie, it premiered in Toronto film festival. He got many awards for it and was nominated in best actor baeksang too (the other nominees with him were all older veterans). He rose fast because he was an amazing actor. His long time fans were actually disappointed that he chose DOTS for his comeback post military since he was known as a serious actor and Kim Eun Sook (DOTS writer) was then known as the writer of silly romcom dramas. His popularity was all his own and not her. I for one found Hye Kyo beautiful, but even though she was good in Full House, she was bland in most others I’ve seen her. Moon Geun Young outacted her in Autumn in My Heart.
@Girl-rj3qe he was also in wolf boy with park bo young. I liked that movie. He was already pretty famous but DOTS made him even more famous. I heard that she cheated on him with park bo gum. Noticed that they're not friends anymore and bo gum quietly faded into the background
@@meia002 I don't even believe that Joong Ki was best friends with Bogum. There just wasn't enough time for them to build a friendship prior to Joong Ki starring in DOTS. Joong Ki got really popular in 2012 (though he was quite popular even before that) for his roles in Innocent Man and Werewolf Boy then joined Blossom agency in 2013 just months prior to going to the army. Bo Gum in 2012 was just a newbie actor, with a small role in the 2012 drama Bridal Mask. Don't know when PBG joined Blossom but I never heard their names together prior to SJK going to the army. As soon as SJK returned from the army, he made DOTS and suddenly became more popular. I think it's only after DOTS that he and PBG became friends, seeing as they were both in the same agency and both got really popular at the same time (their close friends image is helped with the various endorsements they had together).

The double standard is everywhere not just Korea. What I disliked about him is how he ended his 1st marriage and didn’t do anything to protect his ex-wife when his ex-wife was being destroyed in the media. For me that said a lot about his character and that is what made me loose interest in him.

Stop creating drama where there is none. They are two people who ended up having a divorce. Blame the netizens if HK got a lot of criticism after the divorce. I watched Descendants of Sun for the first time 2 or 3 years ago. I adored it and kept it in one of the most special places in my heart. I wish their marriage would shine like this drama. No one but them will ever know what they went through. But as a woman, Song Joong Ki filing for divorce without informing her and throwing her in front of the whole media and the public, announcing his marriage just before The Glory aired, can only be a desire for revenge. No matter how much you love, respect is always more important than love. And anything without respect is not love. I hope Song Hye Kyo meets her soul mate who will truly love her, respect her and make her very happy.

I am currently watching Vicenzo and was curious about the lead. I watched about as much of this video as I could before I stopped it. Song Joong-ki seems like a likable fellow and I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. His personal issues are nobody's business but his and his wives. Why people get so wound up about other people's personal lives is really beyond me. Don't they have lives of their own such that they don't dwell of gossip about others?
