if you make an extremely short sound, (around less than 0.02 seconds), then you can make it endlessly louder and louder without the louder button getting grayed out.
if you duplicate any block until you about to duplicate about 10000 blocks will lag scratch and also crash scratch
Add a comment to the red hat block, it will crash scratch. I am on mobile, so I can only access the desktop version.
brah non of these crash scratch and i even put larger numbers than yours (they go off the code limitation so much you can't even zoom to see it

A weird thing i found in scratch is if you type until the text reaches the right of the screen, the entire screen shifts.
not a glitch, rather an oversight text "thingies" are normal HTML ""s that are resized to fit the text once it reaches the edge your browser adds a vertical scrollbar to fit the content this also hapens with scratch paint.

1:34 it's because it doesn't convert to bitmap, it stays vector because of how small it gets
If you grab any block that makes you type in it, like pick random to and move steps as an example, and you type a very big value, the Scratch window will slowly fade away until you go back with the left arrow key.

Just found an unstoppable way to confuse Scratch: 1. Add the “Text to Speech” extension. 2. Add a message and name it. 3. Put in the hat block “When I receive [message].” 4. Connect it with the “speak” block and put in any word in the input. 5. Now put a “when green flag clicked” block alone. 6. Put the “broadcast [message]” block in a forever loop with no delay. 7. Start the project. As you can see, it is now pretty loud, and I’m telling you, you can’t stop it, especially by pressing the stop sign!

Here's a way to break scratch: 1.) First go to a new project 2.) Then make a new custom block 3.) Name it "%15" and add a text input 4.) Click "OK" 5.) Then Click x because it won't close 6.) Then scroll up on the blocks section and it will be broken (this can be fixed be reloading the page)

If you activate a "My Blocks" block and insert it into the "define" block saying your own block that you created, It acts like a forever loop but your fps is slowly going to 0.
Another way to break scratch is to make 2 lists. 1. put 2 green flag blocks 2.. Make 2 lists 3. delete both of the lists in the green flag block (don’t put both of the lists in the same green flag block) 4. Make put a forever loop in both green flag clicked blocks under the delete list stuff 5. Put list 1 in a green flag block and put list 2 in the other one 6. Add 2 add thing into list block and then make list 1 add list 2 to itself and make list 2 add list 1 to itself. 7. Click the green flag

I found a glitch that makes scratch lag so much you can crash it: 1. Make a list with more than 100000 sections 2. Make a block Difine the block is defining 5 times 3. Make a clone delete a clone of itself and delete itself at the same time 4. Start it.
If you make a costume block, click run without screen refresh, make a forever loop with the mini costume block in it, put it under the big block costume block it breaks scratch, i think

If you create a custom block, then put the block into the backpack, you can have a custom block without a custom hat block.
It'd be useless then.

I did that. I thought of it while eating.
I found a way to broke Variables names (in the project): 1- make a variable (I will use "broken") 2- make the code: when clicked green flag forever create clone of "myself" set "broken" to "0" wait "broken" second glide "broken" secs to "random position" wait "broken" second change "broken" by "pick a random "1" to "1000000000000000000000000000000000000000" " 3- Put when I start as a clone and write the same thing in the "2" after you did these game will be laggy and the variable (broken) name will be empty (It is going to be empty for a second and come back. This will going to loop until you stopped to game) btw if you want to make codes crash and don't work just add: wait "broken" seconds change "color" effect by "broken" add this in both codes.
Other cool thing: 1 - Search %15 in scratch. 2 - Copy the square. 3 - Go to sounds. 4 - Search any sound you like and paste this square. 5 - And go to code again and then WHERE'S THE OTHER PALLETES?

If you select the rays backdrop then convert to vector, and go to the code of the backdrop, and back to the costumes, it will be broken, and more broken if you switch it back to bitmap
also if you select the whole backdrop in bitmap you will be left woth a vector bitmap backdrop
if you click the convert to ____ twice it crashes scratch
I made a report button detector (a sprite that is out of the area, but still can dětech touch) and activated the when I start as a clone bug. Now no one can report xD (Don’t do this, this was just a test, You might get banned!)

I know anotger way: 1. Open a Scratch project file but with a text document. You'll see some weird characters. 2. Copy at least about 40 characters. 3. Paste them in a costume

Scratch can't handle extremely long sounds because it allows the sound MB Of at least 10mb. Separate your audios guys You can still have more than 10 mb on your projects though! Just remember to separate your audios
Or speed up and slow back down the sound, it compresses the audio, more low quality but you can save again!
A way to make scratch lag: Step 1: Make a my block Step 2: Put the my block under the When Green Flag Clicked block Step 3: Under The Define block, Put a forever loop Step 4: Put the same my block inside the fover loop Step 5: Put a Rotate degrees block inside the foever loop under the my block Step 6: Set the Rotate degrees block to 15-45 Step 7: Make a second my block Step 8: Put your Second my block under the Rotate degrees block Step 9: Put a forever loop under the second Define block Step 10: Put a say block in the forever loop under the second Define block

My favorite is the define block with the block that you made. It just freses scratch.
A glitch on scratch is that if you make a clone of a sprite, then remove the original sprite, the code will still be there.

I found it out how to break code 1. Make scratch cat look like among us 2. Create block “%n” 3. Add input 4. Add label 5. Type label text “normal scratch in ohio” 6. Press “create” 7. Code board will disappear
BONUS: go to costumes then back to code and that scratch error message will appear

Scratch was made so a "run without screen refresh" script is restricted so if the script lasts more than .1 seconds it will make a frame. To bypass that you can use recursion (the script within the script) and it will be ignored since it's multiple scripts running one after another.
Something I found interesting was that: 1. Do green flag clicked. 2. make a block and put the block under the green flag clicked. 3. Put the chunky custom block and put the same little block that was under the when green flag clicked (Duplicate the little block). 4. Put code under the little custom block (The one under the big block). 5. The code under the little custom block wont work. (Also, I don't think this is a "glitch.")
I have an idea to break scratch is: 1.Use the set my variable to 2.Use join my variable and my variable 3.And play the project and soon scratch crashed (IT WONT WORK IF WITHOUT FOREVER BLOCK)
How to lag out scratch: Make a run without screen refresh custom block, and then put the custom block under the thing which defines it, and click the block.

I got one, Get a forever command then put create a clone in it then put when i start as clone create a clone, this will slowley break your game or lag.

For me, adding like, a 2 minute audio clip works. Though, the project won't save as long as it's there. Unfortunate.
I found a way that break scratch. First, make a custom block, then drag the define block and press backspace, and you have a custom block without a define block! Note: You can't edit or delete it from the block pallete.
There is a way ti create a hacked block. It only works on windows PC thiugh. 1. Create a blank project 2. Add a ‘when green flag clicked’ 3. Save the project to your computer 4. In file explorer, rename the file, and change the .sb3 to .zip 5. A confirmation box will appear, click yes 6. Right-click the zip file and extract it 7. Delete the zip file 8. Open the folder, and open ‘project.json’ in notepad 9. Where it says ‘event_whenflagclicked’, change that to anything 10. Save and close the file 11. Convert the folder back into a zip file 12. Change the .zip back to .sb3 13. Open scratch and load in the modified sb3 file Done!
Correction: it may work on other PCs, but the steps will vary slightly.

If you copy paste 1000 digits of pi or any long number to a variable(or any number input)you will get a blue screen
For EP3 If you do set [ any variable v ] to join (the same variable) with the (same variable)
Bro i was found a bug in scratch. Steps how was i do it: 1. step: (from this video) 8:28 - only the special character need to be copied 2. step: open the online scratch editor and make a my block in any sprite (or in the stage) with other blocks or code in it 3. step: edit the my block and rename it to the copied special character 4. step: leave the sprite's/stage's code tab and then come back. What you will see is nothing of your code. The blocks are deleted even the special my block.
If you create a costume or sound with the symbol %15, there will be few block categories

Name anything "" and you're done for. None of the buttons work, only running or stopping the project.
Of course this is the only video that looks like a broken tv. I know that's literally just me, but it's fitting.
If you some reason play a long sound on scratch using mobile (by safari) it will make the sound blank, Idk why but I have to split it in parts for it to work.
in the writing slot if u type a verrrrrrry long number u will get out of the screen in scratch (it doesnt lag tho)
I know how to do wrd scratch projects! 1. go in to it 2. make an unnamed hat block 3. a bit of the block it is attached to has been cut a bit its not a bug, it just looks wrd. 🙂
oh and also, heres another! 1. get define hat with a typey thing 1.5. take the circle out the hat 2. get a block you type in 3. delete the hat 4. you have a usless circle. it doesn't always work. i say you go onto Turbowarp to help.

you can get move blocks to a backdrop (this does not break scratch) you can drag blocks to another sprite 1. give a move block to a random sprite 2. drag it to an backdrop 3. the blocks dont work on the backdrop try this glitch

In the online version, if you make the sound fast enough, it doesn't work when trying to make it slower again.

Funny thing The easiest way to break scratch is to go to custom blocks, then type %n and run without screen refresh, and make it. Then scroll up.
i found a soundpage glitch first make a sound or use the library select it all copy it and paste it on everything
Idea: I Think Putting A Forever Loop With A Create Clone Of Myself And Putting That Loop Into A Custom Block Set To "Run Without Screen Refresh" And Play That Code Would Break Scratch.
You forgot to put the forever loop at the beginning in a custom block with "run without screen refresh" turned on
for the rays background one it actually happend to me but i imported a svg costume and when i did the same thing it broke scratch
This doesn't really break scratch and I've only tried it on website ver but here it is, you know how you can't NORMALLY use motion block on backdrops? well if you move a motion block from a sprite you can get it in there, doesn't do anything though.
I you put the square from the %15, then the scratchblock categories will disappear.

I have a bug when i was a griffpatch scrolling background video and add dots in thr part of video and then i was make a fnaf title screen and when i put loading or nee game text half of them only apppered but when i add a dot it work also i think there is no way to stop this but if it does not work its probbly becuase of scratch addon or somthing like that

So i have no idea what i did to delete EVERY VARIABLE BLOCK but i think i remember If you put the character " " (or search %15 and copy it) in and then put an "a" after it, all variable blocks dissapear and you cant use them, unless you refresh. You can also do this with lists after you make one.

I'm not sure if this works on the offline editor, but if you have a sprite with one costume and name the costume the %15 character, a weird glitch will happen in the code screen.

I have broke scratch by making a block that is called change x by with a input and put the block that makes it that you could drag the sprite in a forever loop and put that on a when green flag clicked and the block you made with the change x by block under the red hat block you made and play the game for a while and it breaks scratch.
you can also create a nameless variable by typing %15 on search and copy the square emoji and paste it for the variable and done! (use costume to get the variable blocks back)
8:13 use the thing that pop up in searching bar on variables and create a new character to put some codes, go to another sprite and come back, the codes disappear!

I know one way to break scratch (copy a music over and over again and paste it into the back of the music after so reload it)
I found another way to break scratch first go to the my blocks section make a new block type %15 on in tick run without screen refresh or not and then you will see all the blocks bundled together.
What addons/extensions do you have
for me when you make a new sprite then chose a new costume from the built in costumes it would say (Something went wrong Out of memory) is there any wat to fix this??
