This upcoming matchup poses arguably the greatest challenge for the Denver Nuggets since they embarked on their championship journey last spring. Their lengthiest playoff series thus far has spanned six games. The Timberwolves have the potential to extend it to at least that duration, perhaps even reaching the seven-game threshold, and truly have a chance of taking down the defending champs. Both teams left the first round relatively quickly, and with some injuries. Denver and Minnesota matchup well, and as NBA fans, we’re in for a real series.

As a nuggets fan, this is the series I'm most worried about. Tim Connelly spent almost a decade building the nuggets roster, and now he's spent the last couple years building the only other roster that can match up well against them.

And although I agree with your assessment (i.e. Jokic), I believe we'll need a more consistent performance from Murray (4th Q notwithstanding), KCP to shake off whatever's been rattling him, AG and MPJ continuing to perform as they have, and the bench to have some strong games, in order to take this all the way. The last series we definitely weren't playing our best; now, against a team that matches up pretty damn well against us, we can't afford the same mistakes. If we do play like we did, we'll struggle significantly more than we did vs the lakers, and will probably lose out.

This one scares me to death but if the nuggets go up 2 to 0 it's over. And vice versa.
Jokic and Murray have shown that they can come back down 3-1, twice, in a single playoff run. I'm sure they can rally the rest of the Nuggets if they are ever down in a series. We'll see how this young Timberwolves team deals with the extra pressure, either way this will definitely be an amazing series.

I think it really comes down to whether Towns can stay out of foul trouble. KAT had a higher points per minute than even Ant in round 1, but he just couldn’t stay on the floor. He stays out of foul trouble, idk if the nuggets have an answer for him and Ant at the same time.

I think it will go Nuggets in 7. I don't have a bias. Jokic has more offense than Gobert has defense. The rest of the teams are matched pretty well. You may think Towns has size, Gordon and Michael Porter are about the same size with more athleticism. This is going to be great!
Saying this as a Nuggets fan: I have a bad feeling this will be the Timberwolves' year. The cracks in the defending champions game showed twice in game 3 and 4, in the early quarters. There was a reason LA had a 20 point lead, and it was no fluke; you can go back and review the quarters in those games mentioned. LA stuck to this particularly effective play that Denver had no answer. Sure, they shot poorly in the those periods, but whose to say that won't happen with the Timberwolves. The thing is, LA abandoned that play and went with a more ineffective one. Must he some Darvin Ham boo-boo, or the players thought they were safe in the last two quarters and just had to baby the lead until the game was over. In short, lapses on LA that the Timberwolves are going to avoid when they meet. They too, to borrow your words, showed too much. Scary, but it's going to be epic.

I don't know enough about the Timberwolves roster to say who their x Factor is going to be in the series. But I can say with 100% certainty in order for Denver to win this. Michael Porter Junior will have to be their x Factor. If there's a very good chance that that happens too. Not to mention all the key pieces have to stay healthy and uninjured. I couldn't admit this series has me biting my nails.
