I had to learn my mom's culture and my dad's culture growing up so Eddie did not know that Asian culture showers first then soak in the hot bath.   • The monkey that Eddie saw could have very well been an Enko. For context, Enkos are river yokai that have the likeness of a monkey or kappa in some ways. They are known to catch divers and reach up their rectums, where they pull out the liver, since it’s their favorite food. So yeah, sorry for scaring y’all.

  • OMG Eddie I did the same thing! When I was younger I accidentally went into the men's bathrooms and the guys explained to me that they use urinals and toilets. For the longest I was so paranoid about going to the wrong bathroom that I would stare at the sign and touch the braille as if I could read it😂. And I would go to the same bathroom at school to make sure I go into the right one and avoid pranks.

  • The 'turtle man' is a kappa (cap-ah). A water spirit known for pranking, and drowning those who swim in their holes. They like cucumbers, so leave one by a lake or pond you think houses a kappa. They're cautious creatures and don't willingly show themselves to many, but there are those who still spot them form time to time. They are also seen as being 'playful', but I think it's the younger kappa that play, while the grown ups know we are a decent food source. There are those put into servitude of more powerful yokai (yo-k-aye), if they are intelligent and/or powerful enough. (This is what I've learned from exposure, if I have misinformed, please feel free to correct me. Like I said, this is learned second hand from various forms of media, and stories on yokai like kappa change a lot.)
