  • Actually, it makes sense that Will goes back to his younger self once K gets his memories back. A lot of people begin acting like their old selves when they get around their original trainer/master/parent. Also, the reason K calls Laura "baby" is because it's hinted that he is her biological father.

    @ShadyDoorags@ShadyDoorags2 жыл бұрын
    • Thanks for beating me to it. I honestly wasn't sure if I even remembered that right or not. Still kind of weird for Tommy Lee Jones to say "baby" in any context but at least there is some reason...

    • And about the pizza place scene, to me it always felt more like J was trying to show off to his mentor and prove that he had grown and was as good as his mentor. This was why he tried to find these obscure clues and signs rather than look for the simple and obvious.

    • It's a phenomenon called "personality regression", and it can happen around anyone from your past whom you haven't seen in a long time. That's one of the reasons recovering addicts are encouraged to not reconnect with old friends and acquaintances that they got drunk or high with as the phenomenon often leads to relapsing into addiction.

  • “It rains because you’re sad, baby.” I always assumed that was a subtle implication that K was actually her father, but wasn’t ready to admit it yet, and that they had planned on getting to that in the next sequel. (They do establish that K and Laura’s mother had kind of a thing…)

    • Came down here looking for this, I think its obvious because the alien who dies at the restaurant is taking care of Laura, she says "A man I've known my whole life vanished in front of my eyes...", It was also K's friend (Hinted by the picture at the restaurant) and then theres K's romance and that "baby" line. K didnt want to send his own daughter away so he left her on earth and then neuralized himself to avoid the temptation of seeing her and put her in danger leaving clues for himself at the same time in case the evil plant lady came back.

Two guys in black are at the door, one neutralizes him while the other deletes his script and replaces it with the MIB2 title. When I heard about the sequel coming out, 5 years later, I was ecstatic. The hype was real, and I couldn't wait. Saw it opening day and.... was SO disappointed. Two weeks later, someone gave me a free ticket to watch it again. I said to myself, why not, it's free. But went in expecting absolute shit. But I found myself.... Really enjoying it. Still nowhere near as good as the first but, it was still funny! Now to this day, I call it the "Men In Black 2 Syndrome". If you're hyped about something too much, you might not be able to enjoy it for what it is.

We see some real character growth from J, and a gradual acceptance from K as he adapts to the job working through perseverance. L actually played a pretty big role and the three main characters tackled a lot of new and interesting topics and adventures. They kept the lighthearted joking nature while also entering into some incredibly dangerous and weird situations. It had one of the most mesmerizing and catchy openings, showing viewers a complete synopsis of everything they need to know thus far. Oh, and also, it was an animated series.
