  • Ok i just have to say that since i started following this channel i make better and healthier food choices, period. We are always in a hurry not paying attention to what we eat but once we start making changes we can see it in our body. I love that this man takes his time to show us that what we normally go for in the supermarket might not be good for us. And at the sametime shows us the healthier alternative. Thank you so much sr, i dont exactly follow everything you say but i am trying and thats what matters.

  • I’d love a video geared towards changes for a lower income family or one in a food desert. I’m with you on just about everything you said here, I’m learning a lot & I do believe that your intentions are good. But lots of people want to upgrade their diets but can’t afford to make all these changes or don’t have access to organic foods, for example. People can get the mistaken message that if they can’t do it “right” then there’s no point in trying. It can feel very “all or nothing” even though that’s not at all the intention! It would really reach a lot of people and be so helpful. Ex: What’s better: canned veg or frozen? What additives to avoid (corn syrup in canned tomatoes for example)? A more accessible way to improve choices without blowing the budget. Just a thought! Thanks for all the good info, please keep it up! 🙂

    • @@lynnharris7119 if u cook it properly it has a very nice texture but it gets very soft when u overcook it. I really like the taste as it is like you're eating regular pasta. Pair it with a nice sauce and you're golden 👌 💛 . The sprouted whole grain bread also tastes awesome and pair it with 2 whole eggs and u got a high protein breakfast. The pasta has lots of fiber and protein and is only made with 2-3 ingredients.

After watching I try to go out and see if I can find those products in our stores around us. Then I like to go home and try to make something with those items. It's fun, almost like a scavenger hunt you could say. But I like to cook things for the KETO and the PSMF diets because that's what caused my husband and I to lose 100+ pounds each, so, keep up the search I really like seeing new items. Thanks

  • Hmm. no mention of the germ, where practically all of the nutrition resides, being removed along with the bran. Wild rice is not a rice, but a grass (like buckwheat). And soooo expensive because it has to be harvested by hand. But it does expand considerably when cooked. It hurt$ le$$ when you observe how much it does expand. It requires more water than brown rice and takes longer to cook. In the US, maple trees are injected with formaldehyde to increase the yield. Not allowed in Canada.

I mean if you have to rate a type of food or product. Like which tortillas you consider the healthiest option for multigrain or wheat for diabetics or Keto. Which corn tortillas tacos shells are the best or something similar. This would really help us out -

    @cjcj6945@cjcj69452 жыл бұрын
    • 80 to 90 percent of the ingredients that make up natural flavors contain chemical solvents and preservatives. These include the cancer-causing chemical BHA, propylene glycol (found in antifreeze), and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Cleaning products, perfumes, and cosmetics contain a combination of chemicals called “fragrances.” In processed food, this same chemical mixture is called a “flavor.” Because smell comprises 80 to 90 percent of the sense of taste, fragrances and flavors are often alarmingly similar in chemical composition. Natural flavors are designed to be addictive. In a fascinating 2011 interview that aired on 60 Minutes, scientists from Givaudan, one of the four power players in the food flavoring world, admitted their number one goal when creating flavors was to make them addictive! Manufacturers are not required to disclose the ingredients used in ‘natural flavours’. This one ‘natural flavour’ ingredient could actually comprise 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 different ingredients! We have no way of knowing and the manufacturers are not obliged to tell us. There is little substantive difference in the chemical compositions of natural and artificial flavourings. They are both made in a laboratory by a trained professional, a ‘flavourist”, who blends appropriate chemicals together in the right proportions. Google verbatim for sources.
