  • One of the most underrated tennis channels in youtube. It would be great if you can have a voice overlap on your drill - like warming up at the service line to get a feel of the ball before stepping behind and rallying the baseline. I don't think that would reveal any secrets but helps viewers understand what you are practicing. I've noticed that Osaka's head moves a lot (not sure if it is because of her hair). Her chin dips down and tucks in before she hits the ball and comes out after she hits the ball. Is that ideal? I heard that federer's head does not move before and during the stroke due to the weight of the head.

  • I love the more open stance “rainbow” strokes at the service line, just learned those myself. I hope you work hard for Naomi’s 2021 season. Not my place to offer advice, but as someone with a coach, I love running plays so I have set plays to win points. Too many modern players are just counterpunching without a specific play in mind to run the point 2-4 shots ahead of opponent. Medvdev may be the exception, he clearly was using set plays to finish off the big 3 at Nitto Championship.

    @stephenk.3226@stephenk.32263 жыл бұрын
    • Of course he would. The dude barely trains anymore and his UTR is still higher than hers. Not to take away from Osaka, she’s a talented athlete. But at the top of the game the physical attributes of men give them an advantage that can’t be overcome.

    • @@heavyhitter103 Fair points indeed. He has some great talent, I would love to see him get motivated and serious again and try to make it on the tour. Awesome strokes and mechanics, I would hate to see it go to waste. I guess it all just boils down to "how bad does he want it'? Assuming the fire is still there.

    • Hi Stephen - thanks for the message. I just got the same question in another video and this is my answer: “I've heard that several times and my answer is quite simply I can't afford playing on the tour year around at the lower levels. Getting to the atp takes time and I don't have the financial support to stay competing. I'd love to be able to afford it but I can't pay my bills of dreams. Again, appreciate the message but as of now I'm happy with my decision. But who knows what the future holds 💪🏻”

    • @@MyTennisHQ Thanks for the reply, Brother! I apologize that I didn't even consider the financial burden that is required in order to compete on the tour.
