After watching your $20 kmart challe 4:55 nge that my brother was watching I decided to take up the sport and do the challenge to see if I like it, unfortunately the $20 combo is sold out everywhere... so got the $32 combo and have also ordered a heap of stuff from temu (because everything's cheap) so will be trying my luck very soon.

- Hey Jeff, not often I find they are not as strong as the usual terminal knots I tie and take a bit more time. Sometimes I compensate by running a slightly heavier leader to use the loop knot, seems to be okay

- @@ShroomFishing how did you find the Chinese rods vis a vis say Shimano we buy in store? Was there a quality difference? I’ve got old fibreglass 12ft rods for beach fishing that are darn heavy. Temu selling 10 and 12ft carbon fibre rods with thinner taper which i might get for beach fishing
