I know, I'm a vtuber get over it.
There's a lot of headphones on the market that are super hyped up and you see them everywhere. But when you go to try them for yourself, you ultimately end up disappointed. But some things are designed so well that they stand the test of time. A design so good it's never needed to change. That's right baby, we're talking about the Sony MDR-7506. A certified hood classic of a headphone.

  • a cd900st with a detachable cable mod and yaxi pads would be great you'll get my further support if you review the hd620s whenever it comes out.

    • I'd love to review the HD 620s but I pretty much have to buy everything for these reviews so we'll see lol.

  • ive seen multiple people review them and i always get different conclusions, i guess over the years sony decided to change the sound signature and maybe just cheap out of the qc on these old cans, and because of that we get huge batch variances

    • The pair I got was definitely older. Sucks to know about the variations in sound quality. Typical Sony L.

  • I gotta say, the content of the video is great but that vtuber model is super distracting.

  • I checked. It definitely cost more than $50 at least in our country.

    • Ah yea. I'm in the United States where these are in plentiful supply. A new one of these definitely costs more than that. But in the U.S. there's so many of them on the used market for cheap. I need to do a better job of telling people what country I'm at as well as where I bought it from.

    • @@TenshinSound it's about around $113 new if converted to my local currency (PHP) to USD. I was hoping for probably another affordable audiophile quality headset, but didn't want to break the bank, as $50 is pretty much a lot of money in our country because of uneven exchange rates. I'd really love to import one but shipping from the US to here would probably eclipse the price of the headset.

    • @@triadwarfare ah yea that does complicate things and make the headphone more expensive. Because I'm in the U.S. my perspective is going to be more useful to people in North America and Europe. Though, if you are looking into a cheap gaming headset, I would see if any vendors in your area sell Koss headphones (KSC75 and KPH30i are great value headphones) And if you're in Asia, Moondrop makes some affordable IEMs and their shipping should be much cheaper.

    • it's $99 msrp in US too, just sales happen from time to time, that said there are much better stuff for $80-100, FiiO JT1(open back but so much insulation materials inside it's like a closed back rly), Status Audio CB-1, Drop X Hifiman HE-R7DX and HarmonicDyne Black Hole(closed back but with huge bass ports so it leaks more than FiiO JT1 which is technically open back)

    • Not at the moment but I have plans to release one in the future once I've tried more stuff.

  • This isn't $50 though. This is like $90 in the United States.

    @Dracomies@Dracomies14 күн бұрын
    • There's a surplus of them on the used market going for much cheaper than MSRP. I do admit that I didn't do my due diligence in explaining that I did buy these used. yea for a brand new one you're looking at 90-100 bucks depending on sales. You're not the first to bring this up and in future videos I will be more accurate when it comes to pricing. I'll also be changing the title of the video to be more transparent.
