I love how this highlights that the imperium is so massive, and astartes so few in number that many worlds view them as these mythical angelic forces of nature that border on the supernatural.
It is also incredible to see how they are unaware that there are traitor marines.

in my head when he said to kneel, I knew that the terny was testing them, because as he said, "weakness is a choice" to kneel is to admit defeat, to admit defeat is to admit to weakness. though the iron warriors are a traitor legion, I admire their notions and what they stand for. to stand is to deify weakness. to resist, is to show strength, to fight back one step at a time, even when the odds are against you, makes you immovable and as though as metal and steel. Iron within, Iron without.

@@MacraggeProject When I caught that quote, I was surprised and proud of myself. each legion teaches us a way to live life and how to approach it, though the traitor legions engross themselves in the negative effects of these traits, we see the benefits of what it could achieve, but also see the downside in going to far. they are a lesson in of themselves.
Honestly, Iron Warriors are barely a traitor legion; they're called that because there's no room for a third side in the Imperium/Chaos conflict. If Perterabo hadn't been such an angsty boi and got a pat on the back every once in a while, he never would've gone over, and even when he did, it was by the slightest of margins and honestly it was more than he was frustrated and just done with how the Imperium was conducting itself. Speaks volumes that even though they're technically Chaos, they despise the Chaos Gods and amputate any part of their bodies that show signs of Warp corruption, replacing it with mechanical parts.
I wouldn't say that kneeling is a sign of weakness. Not by a long shot. It's a sign of respect and fealty far more than a sign of weakness.

Tzeentch's bullshit aside, the Thousand Sons also don't necessarily sound too bad. Ahriman's entire goal is finding a way to free his Rubric brothers and take vengeance on the Chaos Gods, and the Thousand Sons' Freudian Excuse was the Burning of Prospero, which shows they are (or at least used to be) the most compassionate of the Traitor Legions. Compared to what Horus, Fulgrim, Mortarion, Konrad, Perturabo and Lorgar have done, Magnus and his sons seem very much uninterested in the typical debauchery of Chaos.

To be fair to the commander, he didn't kneel out of fear or cowardice. He knelt because he felt defying the Iron Warriors was pointless and would leave the people vulnerable even if they won. He was agreeing to embrace the Iron Warriors' creed and ways so he could better protect the planet.

Tbh, the Governor head was basically at risk here. There's been many cases where Space Marines outright murder local governor for "incompetence" or "failure" when they call for help, even when the situation is seriously out of their own capacity to handle like in this situation.

The tip off that was missed by the CO, "Weakness is a choice" thus, by chosing to kneel, to surrender, you are showing weakness by subservience. You show strength by refusing to kneel, thus paradoxically, are more likely to survive against those who view subservience as weakness to be destroyed.

@mevenyo the Eldar are defeated, those who knelt to the Iron Warriors where killed for their weakness, those who didn't where either enslaved (If they refused to kneel, but also refused to follow the Iron Warriors) or where recruited (If they refused to kneel, but would follow the Iron Warriors). Hence why you see the CO'S head on a pike, he showed weakness by kneeling and surrendering, while his XO didn't.
The Iron Warriors have a pretty warped (heh) view of strength. They are, ultimately, still the villains. Humility is a strength of its own, and Perturabo, arrogant, prideful prick that he is, could never recognize it, something in inculcated in his sons.
Iron Warriors are one of the most entertaining Traitor Legions, they fit in as the perfect representation of a slow grinding assault by an unstoppable force (they also have a pretty good sense of humor when they actually joke)

Sick. The Iron Warriors have always been my faves, the true backbone of the empire to the true backbone of the heresy, they don't just fight to win, they fight to destroy thier enemies to thier basest components and wipe them out for all eternity.

El meme de que llegaron los marines estamos salvados , pero los marines tienen cuernos y picos se hizo canon. Me causa solo un poco de fricción ver poco parpadeos pero visualmente esta magistral. Hubo cambio de administración y no fue para mejor , pero bueno creo que era mejor que Comorrah o que los no angeles fueran los hijos del emperador .

Siempre me pregunté por qué después de la herejía de horus el imperio no dio habiso de las legiones traidoras, digo todo el imperio reconoce el símbolo del imperio (el águila de dos cabezas) y el símbolo del mecanicus (el cráneo mitad engranaje), me parece que sería conveniente saber los símbolos y emblemas de los traidores para no emocionarse confundiendolos como aquí XD
¿De que te sirve? Si una legión traidora llega a tu planeta tienes 2 opciones, o tienes una legión leal que te defienda, o ya has perdido. Siguiendo esta lógica, decir que los ángeles del emperador son vulnerables al caos (algo que una persona random ni sabe que es) es más peligroso que dejar que unos pocos planetas se vean perdidos por estas "confusiones"

The Iron Warriors are legitimately my least favorite to go up against. They don’t just fight you, they BREAK you. They destroy any notion of victory and grind you to dust and god emperor help you should they happen to be taking prisoners that day. The Death Guard may be relentless, the Emperor’s Children may be perverted, the World Eaters may be bloodthirsty and the Thousand sons may be…. unpredictable, but the Iron Warriors are next level.

I don't think he is officially named, just made for this animation. He is wearing terminator armour, hence the helmet with the odd tusks.
