Join us at Moto Clube Faro the End point of our Motorcycle Tour of the N2 Portugals Route 66. We have motorcycle camped our way down the N2 taking in the best of Portugal before finding ourselves in the Club house of Moto Clube Faro Famous for the Faro Bike Show and Featuring Iron Maiden Memorabilia. This has been a Motorcycle trip to remember in Portugal and it all started with a Months Motocamping tour idea to challenge our selfs.

Everybody we have met has been so friendly and nice, even random strangers in the street all greet each other with a wave and a smile, Its a country with a good attitude to life and its contagious
I have been to faro for the main festival weekend had a awesome time plus I normally get my food from the local ventas chicken roll egg and bacon and lomo abodobo

Hello Rich and Ewa, the fruit’s name in portuguese is “ anona “ you have to eat it softer, cut it by the half like Ewa did and eat it with a spoon. It’s one of the best fruits you can eat for health. Glad you enjoyed Portugal so much, really nice videos and always a sense of humor. Love it. Cheers( José )

Faro's Motorcycle Club is well known and responsible for organizing, in combination with the local police authorities, every year in July the biggest bike meet in Europe. I't's the only time of the year that bikers are allowed to ride without helmet during the event days, if they wish to do so, although not recommended off course. 2 Years ago, I drove the whole N2, North to South, to go their 40th year celebration and it was something else, over 20000 bikers during the 3 days of the event. If you can attend it, even once in your life, just go, you'll never forget it. 👍
Sounds epic! Where do all the bikes go? The club house is on the main road? Must be very cool we would love to time out next trip to Portugal to do this
@@ontheroadadventure The days before the event it's impressive the amount of fellow bikers from all over Europe you will meet and talk during the stops on the petrol stations, bars or restaurants, on the roads towards Faro, either on the N2 or other main roads. The event is in a big field next to the airport and city center, with all camping facilities, stalls with food & drinks, motorcycle related things to buy, and a big stage for music events. The ticket will also include free breakfast, lunch and dinner at the event in a dedicated restaurant for it, plus 1 T-shirt, stickers and a patch. There's lots of big parking spaces for the bikes and many bikers also stay spread out in hotels, hostels and other BnBs. Me & my best friend opted to stay in a small hotel with parking facilities, since camping at the event will be quite noisy overnight and hard to sleep, as we were told by other bikers, and it was 😁. You can ride to the event or get a free bus ride to and from the event from the city center, 24h, best option if you're planning to have a few beers 😁. throughout the 3 days there's lots of police on the main roads only to ensure the traffic flows well and prevent crazy stuff like burnouts, etc. If you want to see people slowly riding on shorts, flip flops, no shirt or helmet, this will be the only place in Portugal. On the last day there's a huge biker parade from the city until the event place. It's amazing, all along the way there's thousands of locals cheering up the bikers. Free to everyone to participate and you will see all kinds of motorcycles, it's a massive event for the local economy and everyone welcomes it every year. Keep an eye on Faro M. Club website, as soon as they confirm the dates, you can start planning, including a place to stay before the prices go up, that's what I did last time, and many others do too if not camping😁I'm planning to go again next year, it grows on you and you want to go every year Do it, if you can, you'll love it! 👍👍

hi I've been to there bike rally 6 times it great and rode down in the spring and me and my late partner stayed in the club house two times the one time they had a big bikers party we had great time two nights partying third night to recover far to much drink but we loved it the 90s early 2000s the best years of bike travel for me lost my partner to cancer 11 years ago haven't done much travel since it a shame for me but I loved Portugal john

I think there are allot of shared words in that area of countries, Romania would be a good tour to do, the problem is that it is time consuming Riding the bikes all that way unless you do days of motorway which is no fun
@@ontheroadadventure I think (know) I must be strange for I have always enjoyed long-distance riding on the motorway. I go to Inverness every year and will usually drive back stopping only once for a 'must go' break... Maybe I *should* go to the USA lol... Unfortunately no trips possible for a while as Mrs Boulder isn't too good...
