  • So many KZheadrs online claim to be polyglots without actually taking the time to learn the languages they say they can speak. Not only are you a true polyglot, but you are also extremely intelligent and graceful in every interaction with others. You truly care about them and the passion you have for understanding people that don't come from the same culture as you is so moving. I am always inspired by you and have the utmost respect for you that one can possibly have for another human being.

Your ability to switch between the languages and have meaningful conversations in each is so impressive. You make it look easy! :) As always, thanks for the inspiration!

  • Lovely video. Your language skills are amazing especially bearing in mind the different cultures and mindsets you cover up that make languages so different and unique. I'd only mana ge in my mother tongue German, English, Spanish, Catalan, French at a high internediate or advanced level. My Dutch is sort of between advanced beginners and intermediate but ,anyway, it's a fairly easy language when you are German and speak English. No comparison to Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Chinese etc.

    • Hi! I’m living in Türkiye and learning Turkish. Can you give me an advice about how to learn grammar? There are a lot of suffixes and sometimes I get confused when do I need to use them. I can read and understand Turkish but speaking is still hard for me

      @lalahana111@lalahana111 Жыл бұрын
    • @@lalahana111 This is a somewhat difficult question particularly without knowing your background. If you speak a language like German or Russian your task is relatively easy because that means you know concepts such as accusative, dative or genitive. However if your first language is English or French it will be more difficult for you. Go for only new books. In Turkish you can’t avoid learning noun cases however you need a balanced approach. I mean you must learn them but don’t go for tedious, unpractical books which sound too formal. First you must really, really learn personal suffixes in Turkish. Try to avoid vowel harmony rules as much as you can. Instead of memorizing a bunch of vowel harmony rules, develop a feeling for it because if you try it, you will soon notice that they are pretty intuitive. Don’t allow vowel harmony be a barrier, vowel harmony is a paper tiger in Turkish. In terms of noun cases, I suggest you to learn them in the following order: nominative case (subjects), locative case (like at work, in the cinema), dative case (generally the indirect object or shows movement towards a location) , accusative case (direct object and also determines the difference between a/the, like a book or the book), ablative case (from somewhere or something), and finally the genitive case (shows possession like the roof of the building). But as I said start with personal suffixes, that is a must. Pay special attention to noun cases and verbs. If you like sentence mining systems with Audio options and spaced repetition, you may try Glossika Turkish. But it will be pretty difficult if you are a complete beginner. Also you can try Chatgpt. Many polyglots have started to use Chatgpt for language learning including myself. You can watch a few videos on that to see how you can use it. I hope that helps. Good luck with your Turkish learning

• what's the point of learning 7 languages, i think being able to speak 2 - 3 distinct languages to high quality is more than enough. There is no practical use other than to show that you speak at a conversational level in those languages.
