Hardware:

Note on the Ripple Multiple drop mode: The "quantity" setting will not set the total number of bombs, rather it'll set the number of "drops" from each selected pylon. Total number of bombs will be quantity * number of pylons selected. So if you select two pylons, and set the quantity to 2, both pylons will drop 2 bombs for a total of 4 bombs dropped.
This can get a bit confusing especially if all your pylons have the same kinds of bombs, but for example the CFTs have 4 where the wing and centerline pylons have 1. If you select 5 pylons and set the quantity to 2, it'll first drop a single bomb from all 5 pylons, then try to do it again, but of course your wing and center pylons are out, so only 2 more will be dropped from the CFTs pylons. So you'll get a total of 7 bombs dropped, instead of 10 as the base formula would suggest...
Mistakes were made.
@@CasmoTV I think it can be a bit inconsistent depending on the module used, just seems to work like that here. Regardless the series has been very helpful getting me up and running with the Mudhen, thank you Casmo.

Seems to be a lot like the Su-25T’s CCRP.
This was an awesome tutorial, helped me get set for ground attack in a quick no nonsense fashion.
I cannot wait to get my hands on this thing! I would say with the manual out the release shouldn't be too far away but I thought that when the official cold start video came out and we all know what happened then.

@@CasmoTV Yea that's one way to put it! I'm not slamming RB or ED, s*t happens I get it but let's just say some mistakes were made.
I do believe that the INTVL is supposed to be the time between releases in milliseconds and not feet separation, but I might be wrong.

When the F15E came out and demonstrated its capabilities in the Gulf War, I remember thinking it was going against the grain. Everybody was going into smart bombs. The F15E was designed to be a smart aircraft dropping dumb bombs.

I thought so too until I had the sun at my back and could no longer see the mfd, lol. I found myself in my VR goggles reaching up to try and block the sun, lolol. It looks realistic but seriously its a bit over done.

when i rearm after the first drop i cannot re program dumb drops. am i missing a key or a clear program funtion?
My friend said he had not used dumb bombs in over 15 years and he retired over three years ago, so 18 years ago. I guess that is around the time of this F-15E.
Doesn’t surprise me. COIN wasn’t a place for dumb bombs.
I go back a ways. The introduction of GPS guided bombs was (and I hate the expression) a game changer for airpower. Instead of sending multiple aircraft to have a chance at destroying a target, one aircraft can now handle several targets. Dumb bombs can be messy and embarassing. Still, according to enemy propaganda, our bombs only hit women and children. I guess they are smart that way.
@@PappyGunn If they have the cords for the targets, they can Pre Program the cords into the JDAMs or JSOWs. JSOWs have a longer range. You can drop all ordnance on one pass and they will all find their target.
Does anyone know how to remove the mark ? Like if you designate it? It’s aft with the boat switch which I have assigned and it’s not removing it
Just a very quick query about the Nose/Tail fusing- on things like the high drag bombs, Laser guided bombs and JDAMs, etc. I get that the tail "fuse" activates the tail section but if you select tail only wouldn't it drop a dud as the warhead in the front isn't armed? I see it works on this module but genuinely curious as to whether it should work or not. Literally the only thing I know about the fusing is there's a cable on the outside of the bomb, so I'm probably just confusing myself at this point. These videos are a really useful resource, I'm looking forward to flying this bird!
A tail fuse is usually used to create a delay from impact to increase penetration of a target. Where as a nose fuse detonates upon contact.
@@Racketeerof89 That makes sense- I'm guessing since I've made dud smart weapons before that the unguided high-drag bombs have fuses in the tail while some LGBs and JDAMs don't?
Don’t worry about how the watch works. Just know how to read the time. 🤷🏻♂️
@@Parabueto specific to hi drag bombs.. some have the option to deploy the air fins or not. And if I remember correctly tail fuse is the option to always deploy the fins. Not everything is modeled in the game when it comes to fuses.

Many of these tutorials made by the DCS Community were created when the module was released, or even earlier with selected getting early access. There have been like 5 updates since then and so much more functionality added, some things changed, many bugs fixed and we've only had it for what, 3 months? lol hard to know what is still relevant and what's not. I try to watch a video like this, then go to the change log on ED's webpage to see what is different. Too much to keep track of. Just have to wait until the tutorials catch up to the current release. But the general processes are still accurate.
anyone else notice that the CDIP is backwards before he selects it? It says CIDP before

Whenever I try this I get as far as the ARMT page and while I can see the amount of stores I have there, i have no names and can't click any of the settings

For anyone that has this issue and happens to come across this comment way late like me, here’s the solution. Back out in the arm page until you see A/G load on the bottom, pick that option then select the type of weapon you are trying to load, and then select the stations that they are on. This will load the correct weapon data into the computer and let you then set up your programs. You need to do this process if you add or change your loadout after spawning into the jet, anything that is already on the jet when you spawn in should be pre-loaded and will not require this process.
