That spell she says the "Pirika Pirilala poporina peperuto" that's a reference to "ojamajo doremi" or "magical do re mi" it was an anime about girls training to be witches!

I love that we as a society are united in our mutual fear, unease, and anxiety when it comes to those eye design choices of the first and earlier Animal Crossing Games, and how Nintendo simultaneously traumatized literal generations as a result 😂

So Animal Crossing has always had an element of horror to it - especially in the older games. Some amazing creepy pastas were done and they were well told- I'm glad someone did something like this, allowing for the characters to interact outside of the animal crossing world. Definitely wasn't expecting that beginning though, just jumps right in 😂 thanks for playing!! Also omg if you play Reveil sometime... I'd be so thankful for a video explained on it... The ending is surreal!!
I experienced a really creepy moment in animal crossing on the gamecube. If u hadn't played for awhile ur character would walk out of ur house with black circles for eyes and a mouth. It scared me and felt like I was apart of some creepypasta like Ben drowned or something. This effect was fixed by traveling on the train and the normal features of ur face would return
I thought that only happened when you left the game without saving. But I've never played or seen a gamecube in my life.
You should make an old fashion styled creepypasta based on that lol
It happens when u haven't played a save file in months its like the game forgets what u looked like bc it's been so long. As far as quiting without saving idk if that does it too I never tried it.

something fun i noticed is this is also heavily inspired by the book House of Leaves! the formatting of the game booklet and the description of the House strongly echo the writing style and themes of that book

This really does feel like a cross between the 2. The animal crossing visuals with the movement style of silent hill. A pretty decent game imo.

I think the incantation is a nod to Ojomajo Doremi an old anime that has 3 girls transform into good witches (magical girls genre) Pirika pirlala poporina peperuto Is the incantation of the 1st witch, if i do remember correctly her name is Doremi

I'm definitely loving these PS1 style horror games. For some reason, these style graphics really make it a lot more creepy to me. Much more then the more hyper realistic ones. That yes are scary too, as you can really show off some cool monster designs. But there is just something about these graphics. Maybe its because they originally would be cute and be a sweet little game, and now they start off that way but then seem to have become corrupted by horror or fear itself. Sort of hiw analogue horror is far more creepy then if it was all in HD.
That chant is actually from Ojamajo Doremi, Doremi chanted this when she transformed into a magical witch Doremi.

i remember seeing the official account post ads on tumblr, and really wanting to play, but my partner didnt want to play with me, and i didnt really wanna play alone, so im happy its being covered:))

Also crossing over different franchises with Silent Hill, it really can work so as long as people know what characters struggle with as well as the kind of monsters, atmosphere and setting of it. Like how someone did this idea with MLP. It is an idea that i'd like to see more of, and hope people get inspire
