They probably sent out the request for a very short amount of time and simply waited until he was in town and had some time to spare. Everyone has a few off days, even if it's on a Sunday afternoon for a few minutes.

His enunciation is so clear and easy to follow. I think I could do well learning Korean from him and I always struggle with the consonants like b/p/t sounding so similar to my ear.

Awesome episode in series of Ollie learning Korean !! I mean I regularly watched Hyunwoo in many shows but didn't know he was this fluent and also understood the accent too.
I think Hyunmoo is a really good teacher. I think I learnt more from this than the several Korean classes I have had

I've been 'learning Korean' on and off for years and I just realise how much my life would be easier if I just got motivated and learn it proper! Plus it's good to know I'm not the only one struggling for that long. I'm gonna race Ollie into being fluent in Korean by the end of the year. I hope I win :)

근데 .. 올리 은근히 한국어 발음 좋아졌어요 옛날엔 완전 딱딱한 발음이었는데 워낙 한국에 있고 한국사람들 말 듣다보니(?) 좀 네이티브스피킹 영향 받은듯함 ㅋ 좀만 한국에서 홀로서기 시키면 의외로 확 늘거같음 ㅋ

Ollie gives me a lot of hope because he struggles with learning Korean as much as I struggle with learning German. My pronunciation sounds cringy. But Ollie doesn't give up and neither will I. 😀

Never do! The best to learn another language is with watching TV or listen to music and translate it. Also you shouldn't be shy, I know that's easier said than done but just talk with the people. I'm German and we're always happy and proud if someone learns our language because it is very hard. Talk with them and if something's odd or off they will correct and help you, if someone laughs about pronunciation don't feel bad about yourself! New languages are always hard and it's never easy to master them. Same was for me with Russian! If you ever need help or anything just hit me up! Good luck with your future learning, keep it up!!

For some reason (and I'm saying this as someone that has watched his shows) Hyunmoo is a littlenmore likable in english than he is in korean.
That may be because on Korean TV even comedians are expected to adhere to certain standards especially if they are the main MC. On a KZhead channel in a foreign language he is probably a bit freer.

I think announcers generally have better pronunciation and hearing-learning abilities. Good accent makes sense.

@@gemgal68 yes I rmb he spoke Chinese during one of the JTBC (?) shows that has different celeb delegates from different countries (sr i dont rmb the name) and they said he's good. I neither expected that he can speak fluent English
