Rissa, get some Body Glide for the chafing. Chafing is no joke, it’s in the top few things that take people off trail. So get some sun gloves and Body Glide and you will be much happier!

Yeuch, rain 😂 coming from the UK I’ve had enough rain this year already 😊 But it was wonderful to then see you have the most beautiful morning of fresh green leaves and amazing views. And no one is silly when they experience emotion. It’s the people who deny their emotions that are not being honest and true to themselves. Keep being you and keep validating your emotions 😊

Packing in the rain…not my most favorite task. Great views, birds, tiny green pines…gotta love it. Pretty cool accommodations. 👊
Starting out in the rain and then having the best morning. 👏Awesome. The NOC is a great place. We have been going there for 25 years and it keeps getting better. On Amazon I picked up a little stick of body glide by outdoor. 3.2 inches tall and .80 oz. Works well. ,, my wife and I hope you keep enjoying NC. Fontana, Clingmans dome, Hot Springs, Big Bald to name a few. 🥾, you are doing great.! DJ&CJ

How glorious when the fog lifted and it became your favorite morning thus far. Not silly to be emotional over God's beautiful creation. It would have been an apt time for you to burst out singing Oh what a beautiful morning,🎶 Oh what a beautiful day.🎵 Maybe next time you leave camp in the rain, you could put more pants in an easily accessible spot to change into later. Glamping used to be quite the rage…that seems to be what you did overnite. Cute place, and cute kitty friend at the end :-)
