Static air on a mountain can be a sign of an incoming electrical storm, or worse, an impending lightning strike. If you hear static or your hair is standing up, get down ASAP. Glad it was uneventful for these folks!
yeah thanks I was searching for this. There's a famous picture on the internet of someones hair standing up due to static in the air. Apparently that was the last picture ever taken of the person before lightning struck.
Yup I wouldn't be laughing in this situation... They were "just" lucky... It is a sign of striking danger. And people should be aware of that instead of willing to replicate the "performance"...

Virginia is (about 25 mins)close to a ski resort me & my uncle enjoy going skiing(he's in a wheelchair) they use those types of skies the person in that video had Mono skies(alpine skies) there are also Bi skies(cross country skies) When it comes to none Para skiing there slide hockey & yes these are used in the winter Paralympics

That handicapped skiing is awesome! I volunteer at a place in Maine Called Maine Adaptive where they teach ppl with all kinds of physical and mental handicaps to ski. It's alot of fun if anyone is ever interested it's at a mountain called Sunday River🙂

Earthquakes are common in Japan they got used to it xd
You're 30 stories up a building you don't simply "run outdoors"
when you are in a tall building, the chances of you getting hurt by running out of the building are much higher than the risk of dying inside it. It's Japan, architects must have planned for the building to withstand earthquakes much stronger than this one. this is not a small building, so even if you leave and the building did collapse, you still dead unless you can get away a couple meters, and by then the earthquake is over, so you risked your life for nothing.
Tall buildings in Japan have quake proof systems installed
