Over 40 miles non stop thanks to local law enforcement, fire departments and the Patriot Guard Riders. They thought it would be a few bikes riding with them home. When bike after bike arrived, you could see their smiles begin to grow. Then the Iron Mountain Police and Fire Department showed up along with the Dickinson County Sheriff Department to escort us through town for this hero.. As we left Dickinson County and Michigan, the emergency vehicles pulled off the highway. The Florence County Sheriff Department and Fire Dept were waiting for our arrival too, they took the lead the rest of the trip. The ride through the city of Florence, WI was amazing as people were waving American flags..
This entire escort lights and sirens went for about 43 miles non stop thanks to emergency personal from 2 states! We made one quick stop in Tipler, Wisconsin were the best friend of this soldier was waiting in a fire truck. In the video, you'll see the truck.. What an amazing ride and escort for such an amazing hero!

  • It's nice to see a tribute for someone alive to appreciate it. Too often we "appreciate" someone when they're being buried instead of appreciating them enough to not sacrifice them for someone's political gain.

    @bengemeister@bengemeister8 жыл бұрын
    • bengemeister - You got it. Notice how Democrats (Clinton & Obama - both didn't serve a day) gets praised by honoring soldiers alive. But when a Republican (W Bush - served National Guard & Trump, who didn't served) does that, they get criticised. Always the same criticism. He got his dad or did something out of going or serving. They same way the Democrat got out. Best part, the military respects the Republicans more than they do with the Democrats. Military knows bullsh*t when they see it.

  • I am so glad that America has come to it's senses and decided to honor vets and treat them well when they return. As I child I witnessed the horrible treatment my uncle got when he returned from Vietnam. He came home with two purple hearts and a silver star and left an arm and a leg back in Vietnam. He was warned to return home wearing civilian clothes but he insisted that he wore his uniform. He was proud of his service. But he was assaulted from the time he left the base in California to the time he got home in New England, multiple times. His uniform was in rags by the time he got home, torn by evil people who treated him hideously along the way. They even ripped his medals off his chest and spat in his face. He picked them up out of the gutter covered with mud and put them in his pocket, the ribbon from his purple heart torn. He was kicked and hit yet he insisted upon wearing his uniform home. That was the only time I ever watched my grandfather cry, when we picked him up at the bus station in Boston. My uncle put away what was left of his uniform and never spoke of his service or the trip home again. We didn't even know he had earned the purple heart or silver star until I found the citations in his luggage which he had buried in the back of a closet in my grandmother's house when I helped her clean it. He had been injured twice. The first time he caught bullets and shrapnel while in a battle. The second one he lost his arm and leg in an explosion while in the middle of rescuing fellow soldiers who were pinned down. That second one got him the silver star. We knew he lost his limbs. We had never known it was due to his being a hero. I am so glad, so glad that vets get better treatment today. Now if we can just get the V.A. off it's duff and join in with the rest of the country.

    • nunya biznez: I'm a Vietnam vet and I'm so sorry for the horrible way your uncle was treated. You didn't mention if he is still with us but either way I have no doubt that God is with him. I know it doesn't do any good but I hope those sub-humans (they don't merit the title of animals) are in some other country because there's no room for them here anymore. Thanks for sharing that and God bless your uncle. A hero in every sense.
