We use felan filan in Persian too!
I have been learning Turkish for years and I have been wondering about the correct use and actual meaning of "falan" for a long time. Of course I translated it with google translate and I mostly knew it as "so on" but that video really showed me in how many cases it can be used. Greetings from Bulgaria!
glad you liked it!🤗
You need to do a video like this for pek/peki! That would be so useful
Thanks! I like the addition of the clips from other videos and the fact that you play them twice and highlight the target word. Nice and clear.
I'm flying to Turkey next week. I have been many times and love it. Next year I'm hoping to ride my motorcycle from London to Turkey so I can visit the more remote historical sites. Thanks!
Sounds great!🥳️

Thank youu! It is great to hear🙌
From Bangladesh. Thanks.
Anladım
I think falan overlaps a lot with 'like' in English. I'd say "I bought like 5kgs this week" 1:55
The same expression is used in Urdu so it was quite easy to wrap my head around it.
How do you use in Falan . give an example.
Please make a video on lar and ler
If a word ends with one of the letters 'a,ı,o,u' -lar is put, if it ends with one of the letters 'e,i,ö,ü' -ler is put
For exm: kit(a)p-lar Kal(e)m-ler Elm(a)-lar Çiç(e)k-ler Lal(e)-ler

Falan = etcetera (etc)
NO. Etcetera means vesaire
Thats a meaning
@Mustafa Ak I think it means the same. Maybe vesaire = formal and falan = informal. Can you kindly give examples using falan and vesaire. Thank you.
@@keletsomokone2663 these are same. Good luck :)
@@keletsomokone2663 you mean ''so and so or so so or like'' ''AVM'ye gideriz yemek falan yeriz'' ''Adam Pazar'da, elma,çilek, armut vesaire satıyordu''
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Merhaba 🇿🇦
merhaba!!
One random question... Why is it offensive to refer to a woman as karı? Can somebody tell me the translation besides "wife"?
Kari is a really rude way of saying woman. Karı means woman but karım means my wife. It is usually used by uneducated people in turkey. Without any certain meaning or reason behind it, it’s just considered rude. Instead u can use such words like eşim meaning my wife
15 kişi falan geldi. 4 veya 5 gibi giderim.
ALL MY RESPECT FOR YOUR WORK MY FRIEND , BUT A SINGLE THING TO BE NOTICED , THE SPEED OF YOUR EXPLANATIONS IS A LITTLE BIT TO HIGH , ALL THE BEST FOR YOU !
Thanks for the tip🥳️
Correction. Not "I will give you so many examples", it should be "I will give you many examples"... oh that felt good. My Turkish is terrible...
Please move past the beginner phase in your youtube videos! Start teaching more intermediate turkish here. It gets really frustrating as a lot of people including me have done the basic level and need a bit more guidance deeper into the language. We all mostly know how to use falan!
Remember that he works hard to publish free content for those who need it. If you do not see what you need here, maybe you are not his target audience. Consider finding resources that meet your need elsewhere instead of this frustrating demand like he owes you anything. Or try asking politely if it is in his plan to develop more intermediate/advanced materials in the future, letting him know that there is demand for it.
@@LL-zp7ut frustrating demand. I literally said please. Plus his content has helped me a lot to become intermediate from beginner! Cause once you learn all these videos from turkishle you're not on the base level anymore so yeah just a recommendation to go to the next level🤷
AGREEEED
I’m still very much a beginner, but I agree! When I get to intermediate, it’d be great to continue using this channel for advice
