MalaMala Safari Moments: Episode 82.
We found the Nkuhuma pride and Northern Avoca males moments after they brought down a buffalo near Mlowathi Dam, at midday! The feeding frenzy that ensued went on for 6 hours... nonstop!
...
From MalaMala Game Reserve to wherever you are in the world, we'll bring you moments from our daily safaris in one of Africa's most iconic private game reserves. This is essentially a continuation of our 'Rangers in Isolation' series which was filmed during the national Lockdown.

    • @@nadineireland3361 definitely! I don’t remember if this is the Nkuhuma pride but they sure eat like them! The Nkuhumas always blow me away with how ferocious they are around the dinner table, just like these guys. I mean they are literally fighting INSIDE A DEAD BUFFALO! How much crazier does it get?! Edit: Okay I stopped being lazy and rewound to the beginning and it is the Nkuhumas LOL. No surprise there. I can’t speak for combat but when it comes to food the Nkuhumas are noticeably the most hardcore lion pride I have seen. It doesn’t matter if you’re a male, a lioness, a subadult, or a cub in the Nkuhuma pride, you have to be willing to fight HARD for your spot at the dinner table. If anyone can name a more intense pride than the Nkuhumas I would LOVE to see video of them.
