The ULTIMATE theremin score, hands down!
There was so much about this classic movie that was ahead of its time. It still looks and sounds futuristic. Plus, it was made as a "regular" movie with top production values. It wasn't really designed to be a Sci-fi movie so much as a powerful morality play. Therefore, it has an enduring impact. It is also much better than the 2008 remake.
You are so lucky to have been able to find a Series 91 C theremin! I like your interpretation of this piece. Thanks. :)
lucky indeed (and I thank Thierry Frenkel for his help)! For some reason, it seems that the 91C model was quite popular in Switzerland, and a few were sold there at that time.
Ah, that explains how you got one. :) Still, very lucky. I've always liked how the C looked. Kind of reminds me of a quartz crystal, in a way.
I want that music played at my funeral. Nicely played!
This is easily one of my favorite film themes, and you did a very good interpretation of it.
What an absolute beauty of an instrument! Brilliant all around.
"Gort......Klaatu, Barada, Nikto!" Awesome video and incredible Theremin performance.
Gort (the name of the robot).........Klaatu (the name of the alien), Barada (killed and is), Nikto (dead).
The definitive theremin music.
one of the best, love that atmospheric theramin effect !
Every time I hear this, I fell loke I felt the first. Nice work.
How come the youtube algorithm always knows what I'll like?
Awesome performance! This brings back memories of seeing this film for the first time!
Love it!! 😊
What a superb arrangement!
Way Cool! I've added it to my KZhead "Film Soundtrack Favorites" playlist. You've made an amazing video!
This is beautiful!
*shakes head*...That was so great miss...Wow those tones were so rich and warm. Cheers!
So beautiful!
Great Job!
I love your version of the classic.omg it's so cool. Geez iam fan!!!
Nice arrangement and Theremin!
Coralie, you're amazing. You played that perfectly. Your editing and pacing were perfect. TDTESS is one of my favorite movies. And I've been playing a Theremini, so I appreciate the difficulty in playing it. Mr. Hoffman would be proud, and Leon too. Gort.... don't forget Gort. "Gort, Klatuu, nikto borrada!"
Love this, well done
Superb! 👏👏👏👏👏😊😊😊
Impressive!!
Excellent
Awesome video
Wow, what a smashing interpretation of this wonderful and iconic piece! I've just got a Moog theremin I hope I can be as polished as you are with practice.
Super j’adore
Cool!
nice

My only wish is that it were a minute or two longer. This is actually a kind of allegory about the coming of Christ.
When Thoth comes in.
Could I use the audio in a short video I'm making? Thank you!
Hello there, I really love what you've done ! To be honnest I would like to use it to animate an alien illustration. Is that ok for you ? ( Ovbiously not commercial)
Hi there Théo, sorry for laaaaaaate reply. Sure you can use this music! If you could mention that's not the original version played by S. Hoffman but my myself, i'd appreciate. thxs !
Of course I'l do ! Thanks for the reply anyway. If you want to see the video finished I can send you on wetranfer, just send a mail at theo.cotinaut@live.fr !
There would be no contest.
Dear Therminal C I C Ehinger, For a Dutch kids television show on the Public Broadcasting station, we are making an educational item about the theremin. We would love to use a few seconds of you playing the Theremin around 0:15 in our video. Would you be willing to give us permission to do so? Kind Regards, Ineke
Hi Ineke, yes, to me it is not a problem, you can use it :-). But keep in mind i do not own the right for the diffusion of the movie, only my theremin playing. If you wish to contact me, you can do so via my website : www.coralieehinger.ch
Hi Cora! Thank you so much :) Thank you for pointing out the rights of The Day The Earth Stood Still. I contacted Fox about it. Thanks again and all the best! Ineke
anyway i could use this in my video? :)
@ Therminal C I C Ehinger also do you have any other 1950's scifi music i could use or that you could point me to ?
Hello ! If you mention the source, you're welcome to use it. By the way : i do not own the right for the music nor for the movie - i just interpreted the theremin part of the soundtrack.
bruh momento
Better drop a like before the Aliens arrive.

I like the original better..a very low gritty weirder sound..more scary.. the gal here playing isn't bad.. I just like the original film score.......
Robert Szymanski always a troll critic has to leave a negative comment
@@davidmerlin3344 I like both. Guess I'm a 'troll' too because I like both of them.
