    • Actually I saw a video yesterday out of this particular series of a spoon built 2000cc version of the jdm b18c type R motor in an ek9 type R chassis , and it was shifting at like 11300-11400 rpm's and smoked everybody else on the track despite a few cars having 100-150 hp more than it , the spoon 2000cc type r motor was making over 230hp of N/,A hp to the front wheels and actually won the race quite easily with probably at least a 3 second lap time difference between him and the 2nd place car come by the finish line , so I'm determined there was something wrong with the 1800cc type R motor in the eK9 of this race here , an 1800cc carbed ae86 shouldn't have been that much faster than it in a lap time let alone even not possibly faster at all, I'd expect a spoon built b18c in a 2100-2200 pound eK9 chassis would beat an 1800cc ae86 in any drag race something was def wrong with that civic there is no way the ek9's final lap time shoulda been that much slower than the rest of the cars as I know an 1800cc ae86 is not much faster than a spoon b18c ek9 if even any faster period they should have been neck and neck and in some parts of the track the ek9 shoulda been faster enough to hold the lead over the ae86 for the entire race , somethi g was def wrong with the motor on that ek9 he was limping it across the finish line at the end look how slow he crossed the finish line and on a down hill slope none the less where the high revvs and hp of that spoon b18c shoulda made that ek9 fly down that slope and across the finish line , not saddfully limp across it like a deer with a broken leg.

  • Yeah, the Civic has the B18C engine, and it's been lightened, so it's a monster in the turns with excellent exiting capabilities, but you can't hold off those higher power turbo cars. Now what should really happen is to put a turbo on the B18C and that Civic would almost surely dominate this course.

  • As a 14a owner I'm hella proud to see it win and to have pulled away from the pack by the end. I've always said they're brilliant for track not just drift but ultimately the highlight is tsuchiya in that ae86... Pushing an already super competent car in the corners ( the rx7) and with a 2-3x horsepower disadvantage, is incredibly impressive.

  • I actually hate the last part of that track design. It's where all the good handling low powered cars get ate up. The Civic and AE86 probably would of been ahead of that section wasn't there. The whole course is good besides that last part. It's a turbo car only section since it is an uphill stretch.

    @JujutsuHeiho@JujutsuHeiho8 жыл бұрын
    • yes I definitely agree ,that uphill kills every NA car. NA cars just don't have the torque for the uphill compared to the turbo cars,maybe a very aggressive NA built paired with super short gears will hold its own .

      @TheBb6prelude@TheBb6prelude8 жыл бұрын
    • +f2b.....f20bEG remember that those N/A are even smaller in displacement than their turbo opponents so this comp it is very Unffair I mean 1.6cc N/A vs 2.0 and 2.1cc turbo... but those turbo had to be replaced at the end of the race so turbos are also more expensive to race tho

      @ivannosic9570@ivannosic95708 жыл бұрын
    • Ivan Nosic a k20 or k24 setup with a 5.1 final drive would make a big difference.

      @TheBb6prelude@TheBb6prelude8 жыл бұрын
    • +Ivan Nosic No, i don't think that the displacement was the problem. The real problem was indeed, the big power gap between the N/A cars and Turbo ones. The big bonus on Turbo vehicles is they have a huge advantage on straight segments, having the boost pushing them. For example, if the Civic would have been even lighter and a bit more powerful, it could have been in the top 3. Same with Tsuchiya's 86, it could have even won the race. If you want to be sure about this, check the video when Tsuchiya, Orido race against a GT-R.

      @DoubleCGamesStudios@DoubleCGamesStudios8 жыл бұрын
    • +DoubleC the displacement gets Magnified and therefore the power/torque when you compare 2 engines specially moded ones so if you really want a more balanced comp. you/they should try smaller turbo engined cars against bigger N/A and NOT with same displacement ir even bigger on turbocharged ones wich is absolutely UNfair... but you got it right about the extra puch on stright segments but remember that turbo engines suffer way more on tricky tracks due to temp and stress variations thats a fact.
