    • Great reaction. So as a man, you're considered a wimp, or whatever if you cry for most reasons, unless somebody in your close family dies, you watch your kids do everything they dreamed of and you're insanely proud of them, and you cry because of Babymetal. There may be a couple other reasons that are acceptable, but you're allowed to cry because of Babymetal so don't worry hahaha I think you are FIRMLY in the mindset that these young women are like sisters or something like that to you and so you feel intense, extreme pride for them and so you get emotional when you see something magical take place with them. That pretty much sums up why probably 90% of us, The One, are so passionate about this band. I think we'd all go through hell and high water for these girls if they asked us to hahaahaha

    • How have you not seen this? My guy, how have you not seen the original Moa-banger on her 15th birthday? How have you not seen Yui-banger on her 15th birthday? The lyrics to the song are originally about a 15 yo girl going to her first heavy metal concert, they changed the lyrics for both Su's 20th and here on Moa's 20th birthday celebration. There's so much more fox hole for you to discover, can't wait for you to enjoy the journey. Maybe look into the two trilogies, the Trilogy of Light and the Trilogy of Death.

  • Can we just take a moment to appreciate Moa's physical condition? Normaly, when Sumetal is the lead singer, she doesn't move or jump as much as the other two girls. Moa and the Avenger do most of the demanding choreography. This time, by the time Moa takes the mic she had already been dancing for half a song, a yet she sings perfectly, she is not out of breath at all. Amazing

    @gevillgar@gevillgar Жыл бұрын
    • Actually both Su & Moa are in very good physical condition, if you watched Road of Resistance - Glastonbury 2019, you'll see how they didn't break a sweat while the new avenger Riho looked like she's about to faint by the end of that set. Also Moa was not out of breath but listening closely to her vocal especially the way she end each line you can tell she's not as good as Su in breath control.

    • @@BadEnd98 Great observation! For Moa's breath control, well it's to be expected, especially since she doesn't intend to take a lead role anytime soon (at least, for the moment, and of what I'm aware of), but I'm sure you meant it that way as well ^^ Both are in incredible shape, and it's insane how much energy they can pack in a single concert... absolutely mindblowing, the both of them! • Ok so to answer your questions and give some backstory. Headbanger is a song about a 15 year old girl experiencing a concert for a band she stans really hard. She follows them everywhere, and on this night she is experiencing something she never can again, her 15th birthday. Both Yui and Moa performed this song on their 15th birthdays (well close to, it was a few days off but the intent was clear), and Su performed this version (the "Hatachi" version, the 20th birthday) at her 20th birthday celebration show in Hiroshima at Legend S Baptism XX. The lyric that changes is ichi go (literally one five) meaning fifteen, replaced with hatachi, meaning 20th. In Japan, Hatachi, the 20th birthday, is the coming of age birthday. Officially recognized as an adult, and until just last year when they changed the law to 18, the official age of legal adulthood where you could enter contracts and all of that, etc. So 20 in Japan is highly celebrated. Usually with a big party, recognition, etc. Sort of like "sweet 16" or "quinceanera" in other cultures, though with much more profound meaning. BABYMETAL basically uses this song version to celebrate ascension to adulthood. The moment you hear the word "hatachi" you know its THAT version, and its only been done twice. This particular video was recorded at BABYMETAL ARISES - BEYOND THE MOON - LEGEND - M - (M for Moametal) On June 6th and 7th, 2019. So it wasnt right on her birthday, but rarely do these special performances ever fall exactly. She also plays the acoustic guitar in Shine on the same night and in the intro arrives by flying through the arena. The show is all about her as all "Legend" shows are, such as Legend S being about Su, Y about Yui, etc. There have actually been two Legend M shows, btw. :) There are also a few occasions by necessity where Moa takes the lead/solo on stage. Most notably at Legend S Baptism XX, as this was the first show Yui was not at. She did the Black Babymetal songs completely solo. She also performed them solo at much of the following tour, but finding video of that is not easy as a lot of those fancams got copyrighted into oblivion.

  • This is one of my absolute favourite moments from the band's whole history. One thing it shows is how differently Su's mic and Moa's headset mic are EQed. When she sings her backing vocs, Moa's voice seems to be EQed to be thinner and to sound very young. When she sings through Su's mic the whole vocal quality is more mature and substantial.

  • Great reaction. The reason for the confusion of when this video was posted - it is a compilation with many clips from other concerts spliced in with the original Legend M performance from Moa's 20th birthday in 2019. The real full performance video is so much better. They changed the original lyrics from "...this special night of my 15 ..." to 20 for Legend S (Su-metal's 20th) and for this Moabanger version. At shows on or near their 15th birthdays in 2014 right before Sonisphere where you saw them Su handed the mic and stand to Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Cologne) and they took over lead vocals for those too ... only fancam videos can be found for those. 15 is when compulsory education ends in Japan, so the song is about taking that step away from being a child. 20 is the official "coming of age" into adulthood (although that has changed or is changing to 18), which is why they got to sing this song on those birthdays. I love how Su just steps into their place in the choreo and performs it perfectly.

Too bad there was no YuiBanger in a pro shot version, her version was so good too. I wonder when will Moa perform it again, since I don't know much about it, lol. Also, I noticed that Moa is using Su's style of singing the headbanger in maybe budokan or maybe in teens, because compared to now, Su's getting older and her technique of singing this song is almost like you can't hear any breathless. And when I watch the MoaBanger I remember the teen Su's verison, it's cute, cause you can tell that Moa's using Su's style🥰. I read somewhere as well that Moa never gets tired when she dances, but when it's singing she gets breathless which is gradually noticeable on this video, that's why she's making less movement. While for Su, when she sing and dance (not fully) at the same time, doesn't get tired that much but will break out in sweats and become breathless when she dances fully. That was so interesting for me though, they sure complete each other🥰. Awesome reaction🤩.

  • Love Su's look to Moa as she hands her the mic. It's a "Do me proud" kind of look. And Moa does - love her wonderful smile as she takes the mic and her joy at singing this iconic part of an iconic song. There are 4 Black Babymetal songs (Moa and Yui duets) and I don't think you've done any of them yet. One of them, SIS ANGER, is one of Babymetal's heaviest songs! There's also Moa's 15th (I think, maybe her 18th), where Su also handed her the mic for Headbanger. 🦊🤘🤘🦊

  • Headbanger was my first song I listened to when I discovered BabyMetal. This version at 4:00 is the reason why its MoaMetal version. When you watch it over and over again you notice the little things, the smile Moa gives when people start yelling her name, even when she starts singing usually Su does the hand thing but Moa probably overwhelmed forgot to start doing that for a brief moment. Still really well done and even Su for learning the Choreography as a side. Goes to show they are good at it and humble.

  • It can be easy to forget or gloss over in one's mind that Moa is a full-fledged Idol in her own right. Moa was the lead member in her last year with Sakura Gakuin, the Idol group Babymetal came from. In a 2014 interview, Mikiko (Babymetal's choreographer) described Moa and Yui as consummate Idols. Super-Moa-chan!

  • Awsome reaction. Like other said , this show was reccord in 2019 for the 20e annivesary of Moa. She have 4 songs( 2 on each of the first two albums) with Yui(she left in 2018). This duo is called Black Babymetal. Moa also have a song cover (Love Machine). Ever since Yui left, Moa has occasionally done some solo black babymetal songs. And for info , the girl who just turned 20 is Momoko (March 3). She is the 3th unofficial member I give you some link of Moa solo songs: - Love Machine : Live in 2013 for Moa 14th birthday concert kzhead.info/sun/lbyHkpxopIx6ooE/bejne.html Onedari Daisakusen : Budokan 2021 Live kzhead.info/sun/fLehgLeweJevmX0/bejne.html GJ : Budokan 2021 live kzhead.info/sun/paumZcOpjoCdiJs/bejne.html Sis.Anger (with Yui) kzhead.info/sun/rNWtdJ2im4aNan0/bejne.html

  • Detail I love in this video is you can see Su grabbing and holding out two non-existent ponytails during the choreo. Well back in the day both Yui and Moa got their own cover songs they got to perform for one of their birthdays (they were even born within days of each other). Yui did Chokatto Love and Moa performed Love Machine, both of which are still pretty easy to find on KZhead.

  • So the original lyrics in the prechorus are “ichi-go no yoru” which roughly translates as night of the/my 15th. They did special versions for all the members on each of their 15th birthdays including Yui too! In this version it is changed to “hatachi no yoru” which is more literally, the night of my 20th. Hatachi is a special counter used to say 20 years old. Theres a version of this for Su, and this is of course the version for Moa on her 20th birthday! (in 2019)

  • Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Devilish evil smirk on the archangel's face ! Moabanger reminds me that Lucifer is a fallen angel 🤔 In Legend-M, "Moabanger" was the 12th song in the setlist. Moa sang it in a stable manner without getting short of breath after exhausting dancing for 11 songs + the first part of Headbanger until Su handed the mic to Moa. Only a huge amount of exercise as an athlete enables a girl to get such a big cardio capacity on top of training as a dancer. Her arms look dainty but I saw several photos showing her biceps brachii and brachioradialis in good shape that I admire as a workout lover 😄 。 She is another monster. No, lovely Moa-nstar.
