If you have a type-C cable, you can plug one end into the phone and the other end into the Backbone and play it that way. But it won't be cradled.

One question please, I have the official Samsung S-View Wallet Case for the 23 Ultra. Will the phone fit into the backbone with the case on it as well? If not, no worries, I can just remove the case prior to using the Backbone, was just curious to see if it does. Thanks in advance.

Hi , i watched a lot of videos on it because i am very tired to play in front of a Tv ... I plan to only play at Home with this device and my Internet connexion is extremely solid but i wondered if it could work with My Samsung S10+ ? 🤔 I have seen a content creator playing Final Fantasy XVI very smoothly on his backbone it was impressive. You bought it to play at home as well ? I always prefered Handheld consoles, i find it to be easier to play longer sessions that way ? 🤔😊

PS remote play used to have a setting for enable hdr on andrpid 12. Now on android 13. Version 6.0.0 seems like it doesnt have the hdr switch anymore. Maybe its now natively enabled by default on thr app as long as its enabled on PS5?

Have you tried it away from the home? Like your PS5 plugged in via ethernet @ 1GBPS but your phone on 5G or less than stellar wi-fi like you might get at a hotel? How did that perform? For my use case I would find little value in using this at the house where I'd rather just use my home console, but out and about is where I mostly be using this. Because of that, I'm trying to decide whether a PS5 and PS Remote Play will provide me a better experience, or if getting an Xbox and using xCloud will.

The most important thing for remote play is upload speed on the playstation 5 and good download speed for the mobile device. My ps5 has 1gbs down and 50mbs upload and when I'm out and about my S22 Ultra has 5g up to 1gbs downllad,and I litterly have no problem playing anywhere I am and it's very responsive. Ive even played at different places with only 60 to 100mbs download and I've had no issues. The most important thins is having very good upload speed the download on the mobile device allso can't be less than 20mbs. Anyways hopes this helps ya

Speed test for my hardwired PS5 at home and my Verizon 5G Galaxy S23U show similar UL/DL speeds as you're describing and the experience is good sometimes, less-than-good most of the time, and at the worst of times unplayable. I don't really try to play Ghost Runner or any games that require that kind of reaction speed on remote play because it's just been a frustrating experience. I haven't tried Steam's version in a while, but I remember it being worse than PS Remote Play despite my desktop being on the same connection as my PS5.

Agreed, I have a phone with a 6.7 inch screen but when I’m streaming games in 16:9 1080p the screen becomes a 5.5 inch at most which is way to small for console games meant for big screens

Hey there. I bought my Backbone One from Amazon 2 weeks ago and I'm also using the S23 Ultra. Maybe it's my fat fingers but I really suck at those small buttons. My game play is really bad using the Backbone. I have better success using the full controller and the OIVO PS5 Controller Phone Clip Mount. I really want to like the Backbone One but I'm sending it back. Thanks for your review and I'm glad that it worked out for you. I'm not so fortunate.

I would say rhythm games would be a good test too; lower skill required, yet any lag is immediately noticeable even to observers.
