  • Jimmy just explaining a story proves that he doesn’t need all these bits and skits on his show to be entertaining. Just engage with guests and let them talk

    • totally agree. I really like that he has his guests interacting, to the point where he oft-times simply just lets them talk amongst themselves. I've always missed that on the more familiar "talk shows" where the host talks for 5 minutes with the first guest, then pushes that guest down the sofa to make room for 5 minutes with the next guest, and so on ... totally boring, and also somewhat RUDE!

I respect his son's suggestion. It simplifies to even a fraction of what any mere mortal could understand. Nobody is perfect, but different ppl have different opinions. • I've always loved the mandola and mandolin. The sound they produce is so...pure (not really the word I'm looking for) that you don't even have to know how to play it. Obviously if you wand specific tunes, and all, but you can improvise a really lovely melody. I was at a Renaissance Faire and a minstrel let me play his. I told him I didn't know how to play, and he just said not to play it, but to explore it. Like thirty different people thought I was trained. I still can't really play the guitar, but I can fool Faire patrons into thinking I was the minstrel, while he went to take a break. Absolutely love that instrument.

  • Rachel and Marcus? really ??? That Makes My Heart Swell!!! What a happy thing to know, she's hilarious and lovely, he's genuinely funny and handsome, I hope they're happy together for a Very Long Time. what a nice thing to know.

    • They met around April 2018, married September 2019, but I honestly thought it was longer than that. They're now both regulars, often together in the mythical "I'm sorry i haven't a clue" and it's always good fun. You're right, they belong to those happy "planet alignment" kind of couples that make total sense. Like David Mitchell And Victoria , Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.
