Oh hi ESO.
Really. I dont understand why 10+ year MMO streamer with his own game company can't make an MMO.
I think the most impressive thing about this video is the number of people following him through the castle - the fact that none of them run ahead of him or do anything to obstruct his view. Normally when you get that many people in one place on a server there's characters jumping all over the place. They treat him with so much respect lmfao.
He is the lich king after all
Can't this game have a GM like features who can created a storyline or quest for them?
They behave because they support him and he won't show their hard work off if they troll and ruin the fun
It wasn't always like this. Especially when he was still playing WoW regularly. It's good to see that his community has gotten "less" toxic in that regard.
I like how he joins the material gathering process briefly to show that he's part of the community that built it all, just like Kim Jong Un would do
A PR stunt
He already has that monarch mentality 😎

A man of the people
@@pnw_jxsh1334 Yeah... To think that "we" actually did this! XD
This is why I wish more mmorpgs had player housing. There are people that love gathering materials and building crazy stuff. Makes the world feel larger.
Ultima online started player housing day one in 1997. Player housing is awesome.
I was thinking about the FFXIV housing designers when I saw Asmon looking at the houses. Imagine if they got into this. Some of them who watched Asmon before probably already are here
Yeah, some players. I personally fucking hate gathering materials for 100 hours and building something. And most of the time, player housing is required to have in these games, which pushes away a lot of people. But hey, I'm glad there are games that cater to different people.
Tibia had player housing. What's more, all the cities were originally created by players by putting boxes on the ground. Then the devs turned the placed boxes into real assets and adopted the names of the cities. Great MMO time.
Wurm Online has all player housing and is pretty much a spiritual forefather to Pax Dei, though things can take a while to do there.

As a proud slave I built the entrance towers, the walls connected to them and like 50% of the second floor and walls to the left. But I think the player "Jackhammer" did the most stone building. Very cool to see how he showcased it haha :D I think the game has so much potential if they nail combat and some convenience issues concerning Object interaction and clipping! And awesome to see how people are working all together in an instant without griefing or something. For example my builds wouldnt be possible at all without many people collecting materials and funneling us builders. Was a very impressive experience

I love how it looks organic, like a real castle, bc a bunch of people are building it without mutch of coordination, or a concrete plan.
This reminds me of Minecraft in like 2012 when people had their hamachi servers with limited people in the server at the same time and everyone built their houses with just wood and cobblestone and there wasn't even any protection system, just for your chests... truly amazing times where people would build big villages with their houses and everyone enjoying it.
seriously, kindof hard to be impressed with this after seeing what teams of builders do in Minecraft. Even giant Star Wars things in NMS pale in comparison.
This is the best advertisement possible for a game like this, letting people see what is possible in a game like this if enough people get together and work together towards a common goal. I can't believe all this happened in just 2 days.

Dude more devs need to weaponize this autist army. I can see just making a good base for a game of decent building system, resources to farm, maybe a basic combat system with a gm to oversee and sometimes spawn some monsters for them to fight... They will make you most epic cities and castles. After that you set your artists loose and polish it off, tweak it a bit and there you go! It's like watching an ant colony work honestly.
Big open beta, tell people that the most realistic and best builds will be polished and permanently added to the map. Let the players do the work for you while creating a personal connection between the player and the game at the same time.
add an ingame scanning tool and every building that looks great copy it into a database. Now you can also just build cities by copy / pasting buildings with 100s of variations.

This is actually nuts. Would be interesting, if you have the whole server, to actually have 2 castle towns built. Not necessarily to attack each other, but constantly trying to 1-up the other. Less efficient, sure, but you could have 2 different styles and have rivalries between each location. i.e. - Stormwind v. Orgrimmar

I literally can't describe how fucking cool it is that Asmon's Community could be so organized and could work together with such team work. I don't think very many other communities would be able to come together and build something of such scale with such precision without there being tons of arguments and infighting that ended up ruining the project, or splitting off into multiple smaller projects. This is actually a work of art.
Trees regrow in 3 seconds. There is nothing else to do, but build and dream. Unemployed streamer watchers hate dreams, so they build.
The community, clans, and guilds members when they sync well this happens.
Asmon underestimated the power of autism
A game like this should have a player quest system where you can put on advert on some board where people can see and then do some work for you
Instead of catching Pals, he caught humans.
Me and my best friend did something similar in Conan Exiles. Massive base with a 10 floor pagoda, a huge temple, stables/barracks, a ceremonial hall and town area, multiple fortifications and gates..and a road network that spanned from spawn to endgame location. It’s a lot of fun to build in these games. A combination of creativity, engineering, architecture, logistics/grinding for the materials..basically like Lego, haha.
Yeah that's what if find interesting about abandoned areas in creative-type virtual world games like Second Life. Sometimes you come across these huge places that people obviously put all that time and creativity into making that probably haven't been used in years and years. It feels like I'm an explorer discovering some ancient civilization, one that's going to disappear forever when the game or server gets shut down.
❤ This is what can be achieved when people come together to build something. This may be a game but this is a community of gamers who have joined together in common purpose. It's beautiful ❤
Having torches especially at night time all over they city would look so cool

Ok time to start this: In a land far far away, there was a fabled mountain that within, one could find gold. One day a group of people fell from the sky, all landing safely on some trees there and about, the tribes of people speculate that they came from various worlds, though these people that fell from the sky say that their home is a World of Warcraft. These people that fell from the sky, known as Asmondians, had a leader, that although he wasn’t much of a man of cleaning, he was an amazing leader. His name was Goldian the 2nd, and he and his people stumbled upon the fabled mountain. The Asmondians wanting to help their leader and amaze him with their architectural prowess, began building on the mountain, at first it was a simple camp, but near its ending it had turned into a castle, Goldian was mesmerized, and in the near future, legends say the castle will be finished. But only time can tell, what the future King of the Asmondians will name such castle, although one thing is for certain. All hail Goldian the 2nd! King of the fabled mountain!
Nice! Always appreciate some creative writing. 😍 Here's a free tip for you, since you seem inclined: Turning exciting exploits in-game with creative narration, as you just did, could be a valuable talent that not-just-me would pay for, especially if put to simple animation (like swiping still-frames, and such). It gives me Gondor vibes with how they built the city on the side of a huge rock 👀
The amazing thing about this isn't that 1000 people can build that in two days. It's that 1000 people had the singularity of purpose to work together to build it. That took leadership and cooperation to look like 1 massive project rather than 1000 people trying to do their own thing. Wow.

I hope they make a huge main gate with a huge square behind it on a new, lowest level. A square, at least something like 100 x 100 ft, with a temple, a government building and warehouse, barracks with a weapons warehouse, something like that, and the main gate, and from there, a main street to the gate, that is the one, big main entrance, and a 2nd, big main street, that goes 1 time around the mountain. A gate where 10 people side by side can pass, and maybe 6 - 8 on the main street. Even now, it looks very cool, so I hope, they add a massive, lowest level. I hope they fix the thing with the trees, so they can make a lowest level for this city

Devs should add terrain deformation near built structures to allow for better construction should be a manual process that give no resources to avoid exploiting and customisation. (I know in real construction the terrain modification is done first but this is a game after all) Also they need to work on the support structures/lack thereof with the walkways around the mountain, just need a market square/industrial hub that fits city design and your laughing. P.S. I just wish devs in general took more time than they do designing things like they were/are used not just "looks good from the ground so it's fine"
