You just helped me realize that some of the weird off tone remarks Caine makes could be his underlying fear of understanding what death actually is (i.e. "if I start losing track of who's real and who's an npc, who knows what.. _can_ _happen_ ). It may recontextualize how his baseline character could be seen as embodying the anxiety and overcompensation we'd supposedly have amidst the "denial of death."

That does make sense and Caine is good to take a while to understand how dying works and other things because that will be the hardest things it explain to an ai and they can't really age and he might have accidentally deleted a human player and it's good that they are trying at least and have a good day and take care.
