Does living with a gigantic Ford F-250 make sense in the UK? Alex seems to think so, but Matt, not so much. To find out who’s right, the pair are taking the pick-up on a day out.

They should have just started another channel honestly this is like old top gear ending. Even small channels like Epic Car Show are putting out better cheap car challenges etc not to mention auto Alex and TDC 🤦♀️
@FredMitchell95 I agree with you but due to the company owning the name and having that many subscribers. It's not really a point in it as the company itself is still making alot of money through older videos and still getting some views on the newer videos but not near as much. They are going to fail, most of the subscribers have been here got along time. I have been watching for 8+ years. I'm not watching now, no point

I enjoyed it.
The channel went downhill when Alex left because he's the only one who actually knew about cars and was capable of working. The guys he left the channel to don't know fuckall about cars and can barely manage turning a wrench. No idea who these new clowns are, they also seem to not know fuckall. This channels dead because Alex WAS Car Throttle and it died when he left... it should have been left as a 'project' or an era... they dig the legacy into the dirt further each time they upload a new video.
@@stustockwell I disagree and agree. The channel died once Alex left but Edwin Jack and Ethan picked up the pieces and made it work. Now it's actually dead

Like someone else said, not doing an intro for these guys is a massive disservice to them. Personally, I don’t mind them, but it’s an uphill battle with the viewer base when you’ve replaced Jack and Ethan. Not introducing them and not explaining what’s happened is a sure fire way to lose almost all of the original viewer base.

I like these guys, obviously its not their fault for the situation. An introduction should have been made though, its not like we weren't going to notice the change. I'll stay subscribed.
I think they guys deserve a bit more respect, and when Ethan and Jack turn up on Autoalex, we will have another channel to enjoy. Nothing is being taken here, it's net positive and these two are doing a great job imo.

Go over to auto Alex then, top dead centre is their sister channel that has Edwin in it, and Alex has been hinting for ages that Jack and Ethan are coming on board even saying on his podcast, think of what's happening over at car throttle as a divorce and I got custody of all the kids, he's also had a selfie on his story lately with two hooded figures covering their faces but their hair/beards from what you can see look very much like it's Ethan and Jack, also, on another one of his stories he had written inside a dashboard (that looked very much like a certain silver Octavia) looking forward to employing you with someone who sounded identical to Ethan abruptly saying "stop that!" It's a coming, just give it time

Maybe it'll take time. But it just doesn't feel natural with these two lads yet. The magical spark between Alex and then Jack and Ethan and Edwin is how it all seemed natural and not just a bad TV production. This has that bad TV production feeling rather than 2 lads talking about a old F250 in the UK, a mega cool video idea
I think the problem is that they were all mates, whereas (and im assuming here...) Matt is Alex's boss so they will NEVER have that same dynamic.
It's clearly a corporate decision to have a 10 min video and they're forced to put as much content as possible in it. It's making the videos very cut up

@@SniffiestHalo1 basically the original presenters of this channel have been semi forced out by the owners of the channel by Thier ridiculous budgets and rules, so now that the last 2 presenters have left to follow the others and make their own channel and people are really mad that 10+ years of hard work has been ruined by big companies constantly buying out the channel and giving shit restrictions

As an American that owns the long bed version of a 7.3 I cannot imagine driving it anywhere in Europe.
It's the same size as a Mercedes Sprinter and those fit our roads
@@sys-administrator true but the sprinter can turn on a dime like any Mercedes. US trucks have a turning ability that makes semis look nimble.
The LWB sprinters certainly dont turn on a dime. You turn the wheel to full lock and nothing happens 😂 The MWB ones are far more manoeuvrable

@@tbr2109 if we go with how many feet it takes for the vehicle to drive in a circle it looks like the G wagon needs 44ft, the Unimog needs 53ft. My F350 needs 60ft. For a non truck comparison a new E class needs 36.5ft.

Comments, please consider this, these guys are doing a job they love too. They may or may not like working for the current owners but we can not direct the hate in the comments. This is where the new presenters will be looking for feedback and they don’t need to see this hate. If you genuinely are pissed with what’s happened over the last couple of years to a channel we all love, write an email to the owners or whoever you can who has CONTROL. The new guys seem great, let’s give them a chance. Also remember, as much as we don’t like how CarThrottle is being run, just look at the other channels and great content we now have because of it.

I dont usually bother commenting on socials, but I hope this message reaches the presenters, as I see you're getting too much slack for nothing. I feel that everytime someone leaves and goes on to eventually do their own thing, is just a plus for us viewers as we get more and more options to watch and enjoy. You guys stepped in and are doing great, the F250 is a fresh idea in terms of UK KZhead and I don't get why you should get the slack just because of whatever decisions the board takes. Keep going, keep ignoring those unnecessarily negative comments and you'll soon establish yourselves. P.S. If you don't know who Matt is, go back to CocoMelon

How about we give these two guys a chance? I also owned a F250 with the 7.3 powerstroke. Great for my work, being a contractor and working on a farm. Okay mpg for what it is, but was amazingly reliable for me.
Probably the last good Ford trucks even tho those years they took a page out of Dodge when it came down to rust proofing

Some of that can be down to KZhead algorithm though as auto Alex constantly pops up but CT less so. I only saw the video of these 2 with the Honda's because I looked for the channel as noticed not seen a video for a while.

Thanks to the o.g. CT staff, this has been awesome but ive jumped ship with you.
The UK gallon is bigger than the US gallon so it's probably more like 15 mpg, but I have seen those diesels get around 20 mpg on what you call a motorway. Also, If you daily drove it you would get used to it's size, and when you get in a normal sized car again you would miss that secure feeling that unless hit by a Lorrie you would survive almost any crash.

As an American with a big pickup truck who recently visited Scotland for the first time.... yes.... driving a fullsize pickup truck on Scottish roads would have been a major blunder.

yep, I find them too small even for normal sedan car. Almost no chance to get out without resting your door against car next to you.

I have driven a f350 with the 7.3. Those engines are soild cast iron, so they are so heavy.
This feels like when top gear changed hosts, just doesn't feel the same

Actually, the new big American 1-ton pickups have a towing capacity in excess of 30,000lbs when spec'd out. That's enough to require a big rig (lorry) license here in the states...

Alex and Matt are pretty good on camera and seem to have good chemistry. Poisoned chalice though. If the management had brains, they'd have given a small slice of equity in Car Throttle to Alex, Ethan and Jack and then given them the freedom to produce the content they wanted and a proper budget to actually film stuff. By cutting corners, they've allowed Alex to set up a brand that's going to be ultimately a lot more successful in the future and by not valuing the team remaining (Alex & Jack), they'll kill what's left of the brand. This is the problem when suits don't know the value of who's behind the camera and think they also know how KZhead works.
What an absolute sham CT has became, am glad auto alex and all of the gear is here, gives us the content we all want!!!!

This is a first generation Super Duty and the F250 is the least capable of the Super Duty line. I drive a Fifth generation F450 and it is a whole lot bigger and more powerful than this. It would not fit under the 6'6" barrier, is over 22 feet long and 8 feet wide (176" wheelbase).
Haven't watched for a couple of months and thought i was on the wrong channel
