it's OST also really good see my name friends
Confused because you said other games have done combat better, then said this mimics souls the best. Combat is the most important thing about souls, so when Fallen feels off to you that means deep sale to me. Maybe they will release a PC demo.
The game is great, but I will say that the texture/graphics are not loading properly on XBSX. It’s not crashing for me, but I’m getting tons of pop-in and many NPC faces are textureless. It’s sad. I hope it gets patched soon.
@@Charok1 what made dark souls and other from games so good in my opinion is also explorationz level design and jiat being unique and inspired. Combat is the most important yes. Ive notived non from souls-likes usually are lacking on great enemy design and enemy variety.
Every shooter game mimics each other's mechanics. Let this be the same. Innovation is for all, not just the 1. I personally love this style of play for an action rpg and really hope this style never stops.
Exactly. Just innovate this perfect core we have and keep souls games coming
THANK YOU! So sick of people whining about GOOD things lol
Facts and nothing but, souls likes are the new fad. Soon they will be a normal thing everywhere. We are pretty much already there lol, lies of p was phenomenal. Not this... it's time for us to accept it as a subgenre and move on lol.
@@alejandrobagg2591 Wasn't interested in Lies of P but am in this. And after watching gameplay for both I definitely prefer this style (dark souls vibe) more. To each their own though.
ID like less NEEDING to use the lockon system...more like Dragons Dogma...would be a big improvment.
Crazy how we get two stellar soulslikes in the span of a month

All I needed to hear was magic damage is well implemented, THANK YOU FOR THE TIME AND EFFORT YOU PUT INTO THIS VIDEO HOMIE ! :)
yeah its mechanics are unique. btw LOTF theme is really epic you could listen at our ch :yougothis
Yea the spells I've seen look incredible
I second this message
And then barely show any of it
Spells felt kinda stiff in elden ring. They were implemented perfectly in Kingdom of Amalur. Looks like magic in this game is a little more fluid
i don’t understand all the hate towards this game. it’s honestly so good. everyone is such a critic nowdays
Good Morning Fextra. I just wanted to say real quick that I appreciate that you put the numbers of different categories and then gave the sum total at that end. I hate that reviewers have gotten away from that because it was such a great system. I enjoyed the review as well. Now I'm off to your wiki to see what armors I should go after lol. Thanks again.
Thank you!
the game ost also really good in my channel
@@Fextralifehey I was wondering if the spells on the website currently are all the ones in the game?
Yes those are all the spells
Ive played this game for about 110 hours now and honestly its a really great game. I like it just as much as any game from the souls series.
I was debating playing. Lies of P was not for me, but Demon, Dark souls, Elden Ring are my games. They are all I want to play for the most part. BG3 w Also earned a place in my heart. From and Larian know how to make games.
I pre ordered the game simply to support the developer. I know the price will drop pretty soon like most games but us fans need to support these developers so that they continue to make such interesting games. I would hate to see more ubisofted games further flooding the market than already needed. Will Fextralife cover SpiderMan 2 too ? The leaked review says its one of the games out there.
Can't wait to dive in tomorrow..thanks for the review! :D
Thanks for always offering a level-headed critique in your reviews. One of the most professional youtubers out there.
the delusion has to be on purpose
Within a span of a 2 months I’ve platinumed FF16, lies of P, AC Mirage and today starting LoTF. Can’t wait !!
Damn, puttin’ in work son!
Damn. That is respectful achievement for incel.
I can't imagine what it's like to live that way....
I find it so strange that so many journalist game reviewers are deducting points for technical performance when they didnt do so for other games like Elden Ring/ Jedi Survivor?
I know right. Hopefully these things get fixed. Just beat lies of p a couple of days ago. I’m ready for this game and then Alan wake 2 in a couple weeks!
99% of the time performance or bugs are not an issue for me, feels crazy to deduct points for it unless a game is in a really bad state but even with those games I personally have like no issues
From Software can do anything and reviewers will lick their ass anyway. Elden Ring is repetitive af after 30-40 hours, all the dungeons that are not part of the main story look the same, same enemies with different skins, the grass popping up 5 meters away from your character, and yet nobody talked about it, 9/10 or 10/10 everywhere.
Trolls fromsoftware are working 😂
Not a major publisher, hexworks didn't pay them off for reviews like a billion dollar company would.
Excellent and thorough review! This game has really piqued my interest since the early access gameplay streams kicked off, it has that signature level of challenge and sadistic playfulness soulsborne games tend to exude, while giving you a staggeringly beautiful and dark world to explore while you experience it. I'm hoping some of the mechanical stuff like lock on and combat moveset issues can be resolved with patching, and from the looks of it, seems like something that could be addressed without too much of a lift. I'm glad the SFX are being looked at a bit as well; at least from the early access streams it sounded to me like a lot of the blades had blunt punch-like sounds on attack and/or didn't always fit the timbre of the materials or weight of the weapons. Definitely an area where polish matters so much for immersion. Interested to see what the end result of that is. I'm really loving that they have unlockable starting class additions as a progression reward in the game, what a brilliant idea to get you back in there for future replays! Looking forward to this one in a huge way - it's hexin' time, baby!
As much as i trust fextralife channel, I don’t agree with them in this review. I finished the game last week and didn’t enjoy it at all . The game has a huge problem with enemies locations and grouping at you. Example in Souls game i learn every enemy move set to defeat him . But in this game because every time i face a huge group of enemies i just smash buttons. I reached the point I ignore the enemies and just run the level. Second the bosses were too easy and disappointed. The have a slow and little move set with huge hp.
using the same title for two games is bullshit, not everybody forgets everything after a month or so
Not just that, they use the same installation folder with the old game lol
Im the odd one out, but LoTF is much more enjoyable to me than Lies of P. LoP is so difficult that i quickly lost interest. Thats coming from a massive souls fan.
I like Lords of P more better. I love playing as Pistachio. That guy is nuts!!!
Lies of the Fallen?
I am about 10 hours in and really like the game for the most part. My Huge issue is the Lock-on system. It is bad. And when you are getting overwhelmed with enemies it makes it really difficult. Especially when you push to roll one way and it rolls you off a cliff. Great Review!
Just don't lock on so much! Not needed
Fex , question how does the level gap work with coop? Do me and a friend or rando have to be within a certain level range? Ie 5-10 lvs like Dark souls?
Great review! But you mentioned how you felt like it would compare to Lies of P at the beginning of the review, only to not draw any more comparisons in the rest of it. This only really affects me as I was trying to work out which one of the two I should get!
Same, I thought I missed something, was so confused
I think it's a bit unfair to them both to try and weigh them against each other. Their inspirations come from different games.... Lies of P has it's roots buried in Bloodborne and Sekiro, where as Lords of the Fallen appear to take inspiration from Dark Souls and Demon Souls. I'd say if Dark Souls is more your speed maybe keep taking a look at some streams for Lords and see how it does in the coming days, but if you liked Bloodborne and Sekiro for their gameplay and/or artstyle? Lies of P is an easy pick. Just remember to have an open mind about them, derivative or inspired doesn't mean clone, they're going to have their own identity and soul. Cheers and happy Souls-ing!
I highly recommend Lies Of P. The rave reviews across the board are not an accident. The game is such a beautifully realized world which takes place in the gorgeous Belle Epoque Era of France. From the music to the combat to the lore the setting it is a 10/10 imo and is the closest that we have and probably will ever get to a Bloodborne sequel. But I feel the most important issue here is performance, and I have seen over a dozen videos of large and small channels showing and telling the awful problems that LOTF is suffering from. And this is on PC and console. But what is funny is that every video I've seen has literally said they did not have one single issue with Lies of P. So just food for thought 😎 cheers 👍
If you liked Bloodborne more than the Souls games you would probably like Lies of P more. They’re both really good and I think it’s worth it to pick up both eventually
Lies of P runs great, gorgeous, amazing lore but little replayability. Lords of the Fallen has the potential to run great, looks beautiful, great lore, coop repeatability.
Crazy how people won't pay $60 for an 8 or 9/10 game every year but they'll pay over $1,000 for the "newest" iPhone every year and a half
The reason is that there are more games to buy this year so we prefer sales. But yeah changing phone so often is crazy for me.( I’m still rocking IPhone 6s which I bought for 450$ in 2018)
People can't (or more probably just won't) do basic math. If you pay $60 for a game, and play it for 120 hours, you're paying $.50/hour for high quality, interactive entertainment. I do understand that there are some people for whom $60 is a large sum of money, so of course they need to worry about factors other than just how economically efficient it is. But for those of us that can drop $60 a few times a year without feeling it, I just don't see how anyone can consider a game that they play for 100+ hours to be over-priced, or decide they need to wait for it to be on sale.
Games are good value. Back in 1993 Sonic The Hedgehog on Megadrive (Genesis in USA) was £50
this game is not worth $60 and it's not 8 or 9/10. I wonder how fextra could rate it at 8.8 with isseus he addressed, bad and clunky combat in soulslike is not acceptable and he didn't even mension horrible camera movement in boss fights, clunky animations and many others for me it's 5.5/10 max and im just curious how revewiers can rate it more than 7
I buy none of those shit
My copy arrived this morning. I love it. Its a great game.
I really like the idea my friends can enjoy this game with me since the difficulty turns them off and I love to help people pas the soul games haha
This game is some serious eyecandy, the level of detail of the environments is breathtaking, like the rocky mountain areas you can even clearly see all the little tiny cracks and shadows even from a super far distance. Absolutely blew me away.
Meh. Scaffold, rocks, planks, mushrooms, zombies, dogs, and dudes in armor with weapons as far as the eye can see.
The previews showed all the unique stuff. The rest is generic dark fantasy ripped straight from any dark souls
Lies of P is gonna be a hard game to beat. That was the best soulslike I’ve ever played besides the souls games themselves
Playing Lies of P's demo actually made me play the souls games.😂😂
Im stuck on the last boss currently have around 20 attempts it's hard as shit most bosses only took 1 or 2 tried. Lots of fun weapons and abilities tho great game
@@rhysparremore296using fire helped me a lot
I thought the same and then I play LOTF I love both to death but the exploration and level design is so much better in LOTF it makes me intrigued in the world were lies of p combat is better but it can sometimes feel like your walking through very linear levels with some minor short cuts and loops
I loved lies of p. Considering this one now. Ever play it?
can we upgrade any armor like even starter class armor? or just like certain boss armor or whatever special items you may get?
Subbed, liked, and watched the full video just because you put that you loved it in the thumbnail. I wish everyone did this and it's dumb that they don't. You guys are dope
I'm surprised. Lies of P seems like a far more faithful soulslike aside from the linearity
Nice Co-op idea. It sucks when you must leave a good team up
still annoying that the guest doesnt get boss loot and host cant be revived. but well there will be mods to fix it.
Now I'm looking forward to the best part of Fextralife's Souls-like coverage: The build videos.
Bro this game deserves a 6/10 or 7/10 MAX. Its like a shittier Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin.
Dark souls 2 is god tier compared to this, lol
At least DS2 runs.
Absolutely stunning review mate!! thank you so much for making this content. It brings much more of an analytical point of you than rather at times subjective in comparison
So since the coop player can't loot most items how do they get spells from bosses and stuff or can those be dropped too?
You run through each player’s campaign like other souls games
@@Apex_Yonko seems like a oversight for something that has seamless coop
How does fueling the spells work? Is it checkpointed-based, like Nioh 2? Do you have a mana potion (Cerulean Tears Flask)? Or is it through consumables you have to farm (Like Sekiro's Spirit Emblems)?
All the weapons have ashes of war like elden ring? Or just only light attack and heavy attack??
Better reviews than so many other mainstream channels, been a follower since your GOD LIKE Elden Ring build, you have been doing an incredible job, as well as the wiki page, I am definitely going to pick this game up, solely thanks to you! Keep up the good work!!
Yeah an most of the mainstream reviews complained about the second half getting to hard…imagine downgrading a souls like for being too hard…smh they just need to git gud! That’s why I trust Fextra and not them!
@@manticore3586 I remember mainstream gaming outlets saying Jedi: Fallen Order was “too hard,” and they weren’t even playing on hard- they were complaining that it was too hard on easy. 99% of these Journo’s aren’t gamers, they just took any job they could get in order to climb the Iegacy corpo ladder.
I swear fextra "loves" every single game they review lol
They also really love money ;)
@@alex.starostinCLEARLY lol
You massively understated the performance issues. It’s not just minor framerate drops; it stutters nonstop in areas and often freezes for seconds at a time. The game has also been corrupting save files. None of the “patches” to date have fixed anything.
i need . to know . what happens . when you die !! Do you have to pick back up lost ressources(souls) ??
I'm so happy to see all of the love this game is getting AND all of the very honest feedback. It's incredibly encouraging to see the devs taking action on feedback quickly. I don't see a ton of marketing in general, but it felt like this game had less marketing than larger titles (like Elden Ring, for instance), but the 2 week "Creator" early access period was very cool to see, because several content creators (yourself included) put out thorough and honest videos showcasing the triumphs and letting us know about the various (minor) issues. I really like the game, and some times while I'm playing I forget that it isn't a FROM SOFT game. Sure, it doesn't quite stack up in the same respect in ALL corners, but there are some areas (such as graphics and visuals) where I think it actually surpasses FROM SOFT games (excluding the Blue Point DS remake which is just astoundingly gorgeous, but locked to PS5). I think in some ways this game has more of a unique visual identity than Dark Souls or Demon's Souls, as well. Of course, a game like Bloodborne or Sekiro have their own incredibly unique visual identities, and I think Lords of the Fallen is on part with those in terms of its face.
I remember hearing there was a sequel being made, I never thought I'd end wanting to play it as much I do now 😂
It's not a sequel tho... more like a reboot or remake
@@alexanderkurz1603 people use reboot too much nowadays without knowing what it means, it literally takes place 1000s of years after the first game and the mc from the first one shows up
thanks for your honest review... love u guys!
Does the class you pick have any affect on dialogue ?
I tried to play Lies of P but I’m not partial to having to parry all the time.
Parry all the time? Did you not just build for blocking? There's a mechanical arm in the game that lets you block and swing at the same time. You regen most of any damage you take if you spend your quartz on buffing blocking and rally while using that. It doesn't have permanent up time, but using it for harder enemies is great.
@@dragonwaz thanks for the response. I’ll give it another try.
This game makes me realize how polished and well optimized Lies of P is. LOTF feels like Bethesda tried to copy Dark Souls 3 with all the usual Bethesda jank. The crazy thing is the developers of Lies of P have only developed one game before and it was a crappy MMO and then they come up with a game like Lies of P, while the developers for LOTF already tried to make copy-cap Souls games and they were pretty garbage. Makes me wonder how much more the developers for Lies of P will improve with their next game.
I don't see how that's better than a company that has also only made 1 other souls-like. And CI has made original games that didn't rely on just copying already existing formulas
Sounds like you just came to the comment section to show how deep the back of your throat goes for lies of p.
The devs are different than the 2014 lotf
How good is the key binding ? How does it play on mouse and keybloard ? Does the UI reflect the Key binding, i.e I dont want to see "LT" "RT" x or y console commands on the UI when using mouse and keyboard. Thank you for this excellent review.
Fextra always has the best reviews. Keep up the great work bro-migos.
Sorry if this is a spolier (i dont think it is, but others might), in regards to NG+ not covered in this review: The save/bonfire system changes in NG+ , effecting how players may approach the game. In a first playthrough you have your normal bonfires set throughout the world to rest at. You also have items you can use to place your own bonfires - giving you an additional resting point. You can only have 1 of these active at a time. If you choose to plant a second one, it removes your previous additional bonfire. In NG+ there are NO normal tratitional bonfires to rest at - you can only use the one that you plant yourself, and again only one of these can exist at a time. So this will dramatically affect how you choose to explore and approach areas. Running the risk of longer 'run backs' in areas versus the convenience of more regular resting areas.
I’m ready!
any idea how multiplayer connection works? Is it P2P like souls games?
After Dd2, worth playing???, more Fps? On Series S?
99% of comments: wow, absolutely amazing review (because it aligns with my own, yaaay).
This game is so hard. I’ve beaten every fromsoft soulsborne several times, why does every hard enemy need to be accompanied by backup enemies?
Because artificial difficulty
I’m looking forward to this! I came into the community at Elden Ring and went back for Sekiro, but never played the Souls games. I’m coming off of a hot Armored Core 6 run, and need some game exploration in my life. I’ve already pre purchased the deluxe version with his hopes. 🙏🏽
Try the NIOH series you won t regrer it and of course the Souls series
My first “souls” game was the first Lord’s of the fallen. I really liked the game the look, the fighting mechanics and the story… I really hope I get the same from this.
Thanks for the review. Maybe do an update to the review after all the patches? I truly love this game and it has excellent replayability. Crossplay seems to be working flawlessly now and framerate stutters and even freezes seems to be completely gone now. Im excited for all the new content they are planning to release.
Thank you for the support! I really like the game and gave it best soulslike award of the year. I don’t think I need to redo the review but I’m happy to always tell everyone I really enjoyed it and I see he devs working hard and adding content and it really helps
@Fextralife thanks for the reply. I'm on my 2nd play through as a Radiant sorcerer and I really love Pieta's sword at a level 10 with 3 runes one for increasing holy damage, one increasing smite, and one increasing physical damage. Combine it with a 20+ agility and 40+ radiance and you have something special. Also have a ring that increases holy damage.
Lets go! so hyped!
Would you have a better experience or understanding of the story if you've played the first game from 2014?
I just don't understand how exactly umbral scales. Do I have to skill up inferno and radiant so that my umbral becomes stronger or is it enough to concentrate on one of the other values or how exactly does that work? I would like to understand this so that I don't choose the wrong starting class tomorrow...
Yes you level them both it's like hexes in dark souls 2
@@ProfessorBuckz If I remember correctly, hex scales with int or will depending on which value is lower, right? Is that the case here too? or does umbral scale the same with both?
Why do you say "How does the game compare to the 'Lies of P'?" when you dont actually compare them at all? I recently just bought Lies of P and while its no fromsoft, im finding likes and dislikes about it. Wish your review followed through and actually compared a more recent variation of the darksouls formula like you stated. Im really liking Lies of P and Id be more curious about this game if I could get some direct relevance to it.
I knew my buddy and I were picking this game up, but your review 100% cements the fact that we're hyped for this!!
Interesting. This review made me not want to get it when I was 100% going to. Might have to rewatch.
@@RyderSontaigFor me all these issues are minor ones. ones that will most likely be fixed after a few updates.
In co-op you mentioned the joiner can use the facility to upgrade the lamp/healing, does that mean the healing upgrade items are also provided to the joiner too? If I play with my friend, can we upgrade our lamps/potions normally, or do the host have to drop the upgrade item for the joiner, and split the progression?
Sadly no. You have access to the upgrades, but you won't get the drops unless your host drops them for you.
@@Fextralife Thanks for the answer! I thought this game would set itself apart from the old DS formula, guess it’s still the same back and forth between 2 player worlds after all :(
One of the things i love is when you get to a new area and the sound that plays.
Probably won't dive in this year due to the backlog of games that's still nasty, but it's reassuring I have a solid soulslike to wait for. Especially after a few months of post-launch polishing/fixes, which will undoubtedly arrive.
lol, my backlog of games is hell, probably like 150+ games behind.

Going to grab my preorder on Friday. I have been waiting for this since I also liked the first one in 2014.
How is the optimization especially running on ue5
I'd love to see you do a review of the 2200+ modlist Nolvus Ascension for Skyrim. It has an installer. I think you'd love it.
Damn we are getting some actuall souls-likes contenders this years with both this and lies of P. Thanks for the review
Also, I'm very impressed by the work you folks put into the wikis you make. I know there's still more to come on this one, but having used the Elden Ring one plenty, I know it'll come in handy (as it already has).
My new favorite souls game! Appreciate your quest help. Some were really difficult to find and finish on my own.
Fextra undersold this game guys. His recommendations are pretty good, but imo, this game is better than he says it is. I decided to get it, and it's one of the best souls-like I've ever played. And I'm not even a huge fan of that genre. The combat does not feel "floaty," if anything, the controls feel a little floaty, and translates into the combat. For me personally, the combat feels great! It can use some polishing, but what game doesn't upon release? Even Elden Ring had to update the smoothness of their controls after release, it was terrible at first. Now, it feels just like Dark Souls 3, the smoothest game I've ever played, just like Elden Ring, and now, LotF. I'm excited for this genre now.
Refreshing to read someone that knows what they're talking about. Lately it's been nothing but Lies of Small P Organ warrior losers.
I appreciate your honest review. Too bad about the lack of enemy variety. I'll wait for a few patches and then buy this.
What is it with people, all souls games from Fromsoft have on average 40 types. Elden Ring being the exception since it's a vast open world and has like 140 if I'm not mistaken. When it comes to scale and variety this games puts most tripple A games to shame. Combat is amazing too according to Jeenine, Fightingcowboy and Steel who are far more experienced souls gamers/pvper's than Fex.
@@constantinesoldatos yup Elden Ring has spoiled us.
@@constantinesoldatosOnly if this game was developed by fromsoftware, it would have received massive amount of praise rather than negativity from some people.
Honestly Elden Ring doesn't even have a lot of unique enemy encounters. They reuse SO many boss fights, even main ones like Godrick/Godefroy or Godfrey/Hoarah Loux, etc... and then you have a TON of regular enemies that were given underserved Boss health bars and made into Boss encounters. Some of them were challenging ya, like having to fight 2 Gargoyles at the same time. But in the big picture that is just reused content. Even like the 8-9 Deathbird/Nightrider encounters. Sure some of them get a new move here and there, but it's not even guaranteed youll see them do it.
So far LotF has been really enjoyable to me. The main issues I have with the entire game is the damn Lock-On being sketch sometimes and that you step forward when you swing your weapons. Which I suppose can make sense when stringing together swings, but it definitely feels different than swinging multiple times in Elden Ring or something like that. I wish it was more in line with ER in that regard and I don't think anyone would disagree with me
My boss bouta be heated I just caught Covid tonight 😂
planning to pick it up after the launch
Most fair review I have seen thus far! Spot on
Pretty fair review, and I honestly feel bad for the developers for this game. Theres no doubt if it came out any other time then the busiest gaming month in years and was made by a certain developer that starts with an F, it would score much higher by other review outlets, regardless of its performance issues.
I’m totally rooting for these devs… love the genre/concept. But they’ve got to release a polished product. Not sure why they didn’t release a beta/demo 3 mos earlier like LoP. Would have provided ample opportunity to release the best possible version of the game. Having said that, I’m still very excited to get my hands on and play this!
What the fuck are you talking about lol. "I feel if this game was made by completely different people it would score higher reviews" ???????????? like yeah no fucking shit dude if it was a different game made by different people then it might score differently LOL seriously what the fuck are you actually saying hahahahhahahahhahahahhahahah
@@TheVDaddyowith all the performance issues I get in later areas on ps5 and hearing from content creators/reviewers how much worse their review build was it probably would have just made people 2nd guess if they should buy it or not.
@@ThePsyEagle have you bought/played LOTF yet?
2:42, yikes at least it has the heart jumping "OH SHIT" that Darksouls gives me lmao
I’m worried about the reviews i have heard about combat. Is it true you take a stagger step forward every time you swing? That sounds terrible
Do we need SSD for this? Since got no space 😢
It's always weird to hear complaints about games having some performance issues after Elden Ring got crowned Game of the Year while being one of the most unapologetically lazily poorly-optimized games that came out these past years. It's still locked at 16/9 ratio, still capped at 60fps (and will even ban you if you dare try to remove this cap), still often drops to 40 or lower in the open world no matter your rig, still has no upscaling options with one of the worst Ray-Tracing rendering out there... And yet other games with slight issues before launch devs are commited to fix or improve are frowned upon.
Trolls fromsoftware are big deal 😂
Cant spell IGNorant without IGN. Fromsoft shills galore. Not only that but graphically ER looks like a joke.. it looks like it was stuck in the ps360 era. I bet From cut them one pretty ass cheque lol
It's laughable to suggest Elden Ring's technical problems are anywhere near as bad as this game.
Because it wasn't distracting to those reviewers. And I can relate because it wasn't distracting to me either. The only frame drops I noticed on console were during the Radagon fight.
Turns out the game is awful. I don't crash like many others seem to, but I do have frame drops and I wonder how unplayable it can be without DLSS and frame generation. But the main issue is the level design. It's horrendous and annoying like nothing else. It reminds me of AVGN's rant on Ninja Gaiden with the infinitely spawning enemies, the needlessly tight platforming, the meaningless life bar and so on.
I‘m so glad this turned out well. Can’t wait to play it tomorrow
Had a email off microsoft today saying the date has moved for today, i havem't been home yet to check tho

4:25 but arnt you supposed to not use lock on in groups like dark souls?
hello guys can anyone help me?I am thinking of buying the game on epic games store cause its on discount and i wanted to know if i can play it with ps5 controller,it says it has controller support but i know epic doesnt support them and one other game i was playing with ps5 controller was showing xbox keys on the screen
I just hate the soul lantern and all this death world stuff just overcomplicates things and makes the game annoying i feel like refunding it already icl
Love all the news soulslikes but man I wish I could've got a refund for lotf. Just not enjoyable for me. Lies of P was wayyyyyy better.
Very good review! Thanks :)
My first soulslike game was ds1 on the 360. Have played every fromsoft game since and finally someone has replicated the worm eating through and apple design of ds1. So far really enjoying lotf and hope it doesn’t shit the bed as I progress through it.
I appreciate the in depth non spoiler review. Really well done. Me and my friend both pre-ordered. Really looking forward to playing it.
I'm a little skeptical because of the amount of sponsorship from Hexworks and the hesitation in post release videos
Same. Waking up to a bunch of ppl posting oddly positive reviews is pretty suspicious
Lololol y’all so cynical
@@rantalmoreSo only acceptable reviews are the negative ones ?! A game cannot be good cause it's suspicious?! I guess that after the Starfield curated reviews, I'd also be sceptical....
@@rantalmoreMost are negative... Look at the metacritic score
@@Sincerity1993it’s a 76 says generally positive, which by no means you should go by since metacritic is a scam.
Playing an inferno char on my first playthrough and really like the game. Respawning enemys can be quite annoying at times which is my biggest flaw with the game.
I always also enjoy the ending music. What song/tune is this by the way? :D
I can't wait to play coop with my friend
This game is not f good enough!!! All the reviews that I’ve seen are noticeably people disappointed trying to making look good, but it’s simply not enough for being a truly enjoyable experience!!!
Is there any update on a Steam preload?
Melee is at a huge disadvantage… Using a well timed parry doesn’t matter and still withers your health . Makes no sense . What a damn shame they wouldn’t have fixed it . The blocking offered by the shield in this game is pointless
i wonder what he means with ending that leave a lot to be desired, i mean the Dark Soul 2 ending was literally just you sitting on a throne and locking yourself away, and it was still an excellent ending for a Souls like game.
I played this game for 30 minutes. Its a hard pass for me, While the story seems very interesting the running animation really threw me off. The combat also feels off in UE5. NO THANKS
did you play mouse/keyboard or controller?
I've read somewhere that this game is crossplay between consoles and PC is this true?
Can we just appreciate that we will have an awesome game again this year? :)
