Nuts 4 Nuts is TRULY iconic. Used to pass one by the B. train subway on Church Ave. EVERY morning on my way to elementary school. I am now approaching 30 years old 🤣 I'm surprised but delighted to see the business is still going 👏🏾😁
Same here
they have rats
i worked there for 3 years they have rats that break into the nut bags at night and half the time they dont even care
@@p00pieit adds to the distinct “New York” flavor.
New York has rats l000l that’s been an issue for a long time now. The city doesn’t do anything about it.
I interned in NYC one summer. I used to take a break around 3pm every day and go for a walk. The nuts4nuts cart was my guilt pleasure every time they were out there.
I've been helping this man stay in business since '88 lol
"You can tell the energy, the vibration of the city. Everyone is coming to be part of that stage, and you are just another actor on the stage. You see the rush of the people and the desperation to get from one place to the other. And sometimes you just are there seeing them in quietness. You are in the eye of the storm."
actually really profound

As a Chilean New Yorker this makes me feel very proud
I'll never forget the very first time I had Nuts4Nuts. Was 8 years old and the Flyers were playing the Rangers on Eric Lindros's birthday (queue the clutch HBD sign that got me on tv several times during the game! lol) and our train got into Penn early so me and my dad walked around a bit. I smelled the cart and no joke the smell alone hit me like a piano. Was so obsessed with them before the game that I obviously demanded we scooped some up for the ride back home after. Decades later and having worked in NYC for the last 12 years it's still a regular stop for me. So dang good!
This is one of those things you scoff at until you try, and then it's something you always want but can never find.
Thank you #EEater for sharing another small business story. And thank you #Nuts4Nuts allowing us to view all of your processes. Congratualtions on your success and I love your gift box set of different nuts.
Growing up in the city as a kid, Nuts 4 Nuts was a truly special street stand. Their mix nuts were juicy, coco was my fav... So happy they got a recognition at eater!
I remember having those almost 20 years ago during a school trip from Canada. They were so freaking good. I still have vivid memories. I was blown away.
Nuts 4 nuts makes NYC a special place!
These are hands down the best snack the New York streets have to offer. I can’t pass by a nuts4nuts cart and not buy a pack or 2 or 3…
Had this when walking Central Park. Those peanuts are sooo good!
Peanuts are also a popular street food in Manila. The vendors would usually offer them in small paper bags, with plain salted, crispy garlic, spicy, and honey roasted variety. It’s interesting that this is a commonality among us.
Oh my how I missed these nuts! So glad to know they ship 🎉
Congratulations Alex and Cliff, glad to see your successful achievement. Frozade is where it all began... Roger.
When these were $1 a bag I used to always grab one whenever I passed a cart. When the price started going up I stopped. Really good nuts though.
Excellent content. Keep it up
This guy is a legend in the city
A great rapper once said, 'If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere'. The work ethic of NY people is just the next level.
Sounds like Frank Sinatra
Definitely was not a rapper smfh, that was Sinatra
Low key, nawwwww. You've got that wrong AF
Frank Sinatra and then Alicia Keys.
The second one of them spoke spanish i knew they were Chilean. Chileans are very friendly. Happy they're doing good in NY.
Thanks from Chilean/Dominican from Uptown...Franklin is Dominican
I love N4N... used to get a couple of bags for the Knicks game... Very delicious
Great video. Well done Eater.
Thanks for watching!
I'm deathly allergic to nuts but every time I i pass one of these stalls I'm so tempted to risk it all! The smell is too good
Words can not describe how heavenly these nuts smell after a long day in the office!
My girl says the same about my nuts...trick is to use Irish Spring soap.
NY legend
I swear they already did a video on this awesome guy! Good to see an update! Keep it going! Go nuts! Lmao
Iconic 👏
Did he just say $2? That's a steal! I'd totally buy a bag of honey roasted nuts for $2.
With how operation is at their factory, they might have a hard time scaling even bigger. They only have two machine and that machine requires a body there to constantly stir and mix the nuts. A possible solution is welding some rods along the inside of that pot that'll stir the nuts as the nuts roll pass them. I've seen something similar at a velocity chinese stir fried noodle restaurant. Of course it goes without saying that they'll have to fine tune those rods to get the proper consistency that they need for the nuts. But to implement that would allow more machines to roasts the nuts simultaneously without having to have a body at each machine. Everything is done by hand e.g. sorting, packing, and even the logistics of fufilling orders. If they were to scale to be a national product, they would have to start streamlining the process and have to automate some of it. It's nice to hear that they've done a long way since they started. But they need a way to cut down on the bottle necking.
we already have this machines automated and we are in the middle east , they need to up there game , the automation already available from china.
You’re right to understand the people about what they want, you can feel their energy and see the look in their eyes, and know what they want before they tell you, you’re right that’s the way to do business and how to keep them coming back.
Great content
I had these on Jamaica ave they are so good
Garrapiñada!!
I can still hear people talk. Crank up that BUSSIN MUSIC SOUNDS!!!
I have a severe allergy to nuts and yet I was so fascinated by this lmao
Remember seeing these carts all over the city when I was a kid in the 90s
Watching this while eating delicious Honey Roasted peanuts from Nuts4Nuts! 😍🤤
i dig it ..i'd like to buy that in the midwest :)
You could smell them from at least a half a block away. And NYC blocks are long!😃 They are delicious!😊
Grande conejo!
Hell yeah
Always get 2 bags of cashews for $5. Get one for that day, and then save the other bag for tomorrow when the sugar gets even crustier and crunchier mmmmm hmm.
They used to have it in Melbourne, Australia 2016 .. City Streets...
I use to live in nyc and also would visit. I always got 2 to 3 bags of those sweet delicious hot Peanuts. Especially on a cold night catching the train. I miss the pizza, hotdogs, peanuts and bagels. Love you New york.
i looovveee nuts 4 nuts .. i’m always in stew leonard’s buying them all up 🤣
Clever marketing! I'm now going to peruse the website to get some of those tasty nuts.
There are a load of variety of food carts in NYC with so many various ethnic foods and there they are, selling roasted nuts which is basically snacks. Usually people get tired of doing same things within 5 years. They kept on improving on for 30 years with the same passion every single day. This is old school entrepreneur mentality and a lost art.
Looks yummy! At least we know where it's coming from.
nothing beats the Pinoy MANI, or Street Peanuts that's FRIED, with lots of GARLIC CHIPS, Crispy CHILI FLAKES, slightly salted but most of all, the important MAGIC ADDITIVES are TONS OF MSG
I love the assimilation.
I wish they could ship these to Canada
Absolutely nuts!
No place like NYC I used to live there I miss the city..
Every time I visit family in NY I stop by those carts.
Awesome
I could smell this video!!
hands down best of part nyc
I bet the smell alone is fattening and irresistible! As a child traveling in, I think it was London with my parents, a street vendor was roasting chestnuts and the smell was absolutely incredible as were the nuts themselves. I have not been able to reproduce it.
I got some of these in January on our way back to our hotel. The smell stopped me mid step. lol
I love Nuts 4 Nuts. I love the smell too!!!
so essentially this crack the code of how to be happy. what a personality....
Nuts4Nuts is truly Iconic!! We can only hope our stone-milled bread and bagels become equally iconic some day 🤞🤞🤞
It's crazy to think this was the go to snack for romans 2000 years ago
Fj cruiser 😍
It's crazy isn't it, to see how people are still going nuts for nuts.😅 😉
Any time I walk the streets of NYC for work, I make sure I have at least 25$ cash on me. 20 for a couple of bags of nuts and 5 bucks for the cart attendendant.
Rapa, isso parece feijão tropeiro.
I also tell people I made my name on the streets, too.
Yuhhh!!!
He aint lyin.
Holy crap that’s a lot of sugar 1:28
I can't believe they sell a bag of nuts for just 2 bucks. That's crazy and an absolute bargain. They look so tasty too. I miss going to NYC, it's still the most vibrant city on earth.
They used to be $1 when I was in high school, I used to get them all the time after school (2004-2008), it went up, but 2 bucks is still a good price.
@@reckless110 especially in NYC. Everything is expensive there. Great city but bring your Gold card. Lol
What is the name of the song at 2:30 ?
Seemed similar to Freak by the Surf Curse
@@shubham_marathe Thank you! it sounded like DIIV
Coolest Video on this channel so far.
🔥
Those nuts are delish!😊
this is a tasty treat but im afraid to ask how much it costs now
The same you see in the video. Now I don't think they fill it to the brim like you see in the video. But they are $2 a bag and 3 bags for $5. Just had it last month or 2 months ago.
Clean in there.
Prof Snape's Nuts
New York City staple.
imagine trying to rob this guy while he is cooking and just getting a face full of hot nuts XD
I swear Eater or another channel covered him before. Is this a reupload
Where do they go if they have to use the restroom?
to the restroom
Similar to Filipino street food fried nuts.
For me cashews from nuts 4 nuts is the best
Only $2 a bag? in NYC? 3 for $5? You could easily raise that to $3 ea and 2 for $5 and no one would notice. He had these prices 5 years ago. You can't tell me costs have not gone up for him. But good for him on being so successful.
Why raise it? Hes not a greedy bastard like you perhaps
That smell is like the old cartoons that captivate your senses and it's over. 😂
Is that sugar? That's a whole lotta sugar
yeah that's why they taste so good
My uric acid definitely wont agree but I love peanuts.
They say it's honey but I see them putting sugar? what does it taste like?
👍🏼
Tfw binge eating a few bags of these and tearing open the roof of your mouth
Came here to see some "DeezNuts" jokes and very disappointed to find none
Did they stop using powered honey in their mix?, it just looks like they use just sugar now
THose nuts are good but sometimes some carts will get greedy and charge you $3 or $4 just for a bag of nuts. Like cmon....
Get those goober peas.
Wish they made some spicy nuts
I'm sorry but did I see a flying bug at the 1:09 mark in the bucket he is holding. Maybe I'm just seeing things.
Hi
argentinans really have a way with words
He’s Chilean
