Billy Dee's Lando felt much more authentic because he has that type of swagger on and off screen. Donald is a smooth dude but it still feels like he's trying a little hard. But this is SNL, we'll see how it is when Solo comes out (I don't think it'll be much different than this)

This is Quinlan Vos and Steela Gerrara, the other black prequel folks in space erase....who are dead and also that's only 3. Honestly, no matter how much you use the EU, the point in this skit is still very much valid. In fact of a friend of mine put together a list of major characters in star wars canon in the era around Solo that played major roles in stories: Lando Calrissian Saw Gerrera Val Ketsu Onyo Rae Sloane Ciena Ree Sana Starros Zare Leonis Dhara Leonis There's also Panaka (survives until 3BBY), Harzam Namir (stuck on his home planet until 0BBY), Kaeden and Mira Larte (only play a major role in a book in 18BBY) and a few other book characters we don't quite know if they're supposed to be black or brown since they're just described as having dark skin.
