  • Hi. Great video and just what I’ve been looking for. I just ordered the Ortur Master 3 and can’t wait to get started. I’ve watched many Lightburn videos and to me it seems very complicated with so many steps involved. My main interest is burning my own jpeg files onto canvas which will not be sold. Being very new to all of this, I’m wondering if there is a easy-to-use/understand formula for what I want to do? Thanks for posting.

  • I have been using creality workshop for my wood engravings. Can I use picture from imag-r and burn using crelity software, it should work right? also, 21% burn power means, the burn was the same at every point of your image or does the light burn software uses PWM to change power of your laser on local points of your image?

When you set your power to 50% my machine does not show any engraving so I set my power to 90% to engrave. Does the laser lose power over time with extended use? My machine is just over 9 months old or am I doing something wrong?

  • I know this is an older video as I've been exploring the world of laser cutting/engraving just this week. I thought this is one of the coolest ideas to get different colors into a laser engraved item. I'm a photography guy so obviously familiar with canvas. Other popular media options for mounting photographs are acrylic and metal. Have you tried painting layers of color into either acrylic or metal and them laser engrave an image? I also think with acrylic you could start with a different color and also use backlighting with translucent acrylic depending on the paint. Would be interesting to see if anyone has tried this.

  • This video is atleast a couple years old and I'm hoping it's not too late to receive a response to my question. I have a sculpfun Diode and ive only done a handful of projects..I want to do the multi colored canvas images and I have attempted/practice on a screw up canvas that I painted over with black(but it was covered in acrylic paint, not spray paint) first mistake for the practice one was perhaps acrylic paint over probably too thick. Next my speeds and powers too much or not enough, then there was the black residue that built up in the laser protective cylindrical attachment?? Which I do clean carefully..but question is am I weakening the laser by burning through paint?
