Now kids are getting used to start the rolls/ fights on their butts or knees and pull guard out of nothing. Old school BJJ Vale Tudo guys learned to clinch, takedown, punch, kick, and headbutt. Maybe Royce and Renzo Gracie were among the meanest badast mofo, with a handfull of dirty (legal back then) moves, like the 12/6 elbow strikes (and even headbutts) to the oponent's back of the neck.

If you’ve told one lie, stolen anything, or lusted (which is adultery of the heart), you’ll be found guilty on Judgment Day and end up in Hell. But there’s good news: Though we broke God’s Law, Jesus, the prophesied Messiah, perfectly kept the Law, fulfilling all righteousness. He paid the fine for sinners ( that we could never pay ) by suffering and dying on the cross-absorbing the wrath of God that we deserve. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Then Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses. • I've always thought Judo is the best complement to BJJ as Judo throws are designed to bring you into the position to work on submission, while wrestling takedowns seem better to get into position for ground and pound. So which takedown art you choose depends on your preference how ro continue on the ground, submission attacks or ground and pound. And yes, Judo takedown defense is probably the best there is. If you can resist a takedown by someone who has a good grip on you clothes and by that good leverage, it will be easier to resist takedowns even better against someone who can't get a firm grip on you.

We also had a D1 wrestling champ in our ranks who would do a little bonus session with anyone who stayed after class. Learned a few trips, and a single leg-Oklahoma-Tree top sequence and I was at a big advantage. My TDD still sucks but at least I have somewhat of an offense.

I ended up tapping out although I wanted the moment to last longer. Ever since then I developed a respect for alkido and the strong young men who use it. Especially the men who use it on me since every time I fight an aikido master I gain experience. And the strong desire to fight again with these young men. I've been paired up against many men in my life but none of those men were as strong as the guys I fought in aikido. My aikido needs work though as last year this guy got me in a triangle choke, which I found it hard to get out. Especially since he had strong thick legs that squeezed me tight. Personally I'm better at submitting people in twisters or rear naked chokes, they're probably my favorite positions. Especially when I have an audience that always gets me excited ☺️

Let that sink in. Remember Khabib has been training with his dad full force since 5 years old. That’s 30 years experience now. Plus he was only getting better as he got older. Look at how easy it was for him to submit Gaethje. He also did it without putting a mark on him because he loves Justin. Justin got scared in the end after he realized his kicks were doing nothing. It's not like strikes didn't bother him, it's more the fact that he knew he had to be able to take a few good hits while working on making it his kind of fight. Once he got his opponents where he needed them, the striking was nullified. You can tell the difference when you watch some other grapplers in the UFC - some of them get lit up while trying to grapple and they kind of fall apart. Khabib knew how to survive the striking distance just long enough to get guys down and from that point there was no more striking.
