I am not a busker, but I do put myself to the test by posing in public as a statue intending to win. My mission is to spread happiness by making impossible moments possible.

Frequently asked questions:
II live in Arizona and perform in the beautiful city of Scottsdale. Nicknamed the West's most Western town, Old town Scottsdale is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. The art and architecture recreate the ambiance of the old west. Which is why I chose a cowboy as my character! I blend right in.
Needless to say, Arizona is a desert and the weather makes it too hot to perform most of the year. December to April are the only months when I might have a chance to perform on weekends.
This is my Social experiment
I am an artist and this is my interpretation of interactive art.
Attempting to pose in public as a bronze statue is a challenge. The last thing I want is to appear like a person who thinks they look like a statue. I've seen 'living statues before and I wasn't fooled and I think I can't be fooled. In fact, I'll bet whoever is reading this doesn't think they could be fooled either.
That is what everyone in my videos said before meeting me.
I don't hand out business cards or promote KZhead while performing. It only invites conversation which I avoid for the sake of the next opportunity which I wouldn't want to spoil.
I first tried this just to see if it was even possible.
THIS IS NOT A 'PRANK" Scaring people is not my intention. I am not out to invade people's 'space', shout or yell 'boo!' at people who are minding their own business. (unless I am bored) I prefer to be called amazing, not #$#&!!. Many more people pass by oblivious, to my presence.
I just sit and mind my own business. I believe using this unique approach is why I am welcomed and supported by the city.
Have I ever upset anyone?
I have never had a negative reaction, well once.
I've never been intentionally hit, or been bitten by a dog. No heart attacks. Using my approach, I am not to blame if someone mistakes me for a statue. It's not my fault.
Besides, everyone is too busy laughing.
I make a one in a million moment possible and who the lucky person is totally at random.
Timing is not up to me most of the time. Most people touch me as they sit and realize something is up before the right time. Each person is different and I try to wait for the right time to reveal myself. Sometimes they get away before I make my move.
I am sorry for the quality of the video. Filming was an after thought and my lack of experience shows. Also, the way I concealed my camera interfered with the sound and picture. I have spent money on a new camera and it was problematic and ultimately stopped functioning.. I have used an old Canon that has never failed me. I can sacrifice the quality if it means confidence that I'm capturing the moment with a camera that is reliable.
My costume is just old clothes and A LOT of paint. Metallic Bronze paint. Nothing special. For make up I use black eyeliner for a base and metallic creme makeup. I create texture using a small screen.
It takes under an hour to be ready to go. Removing the makeup using soap and water is what takes hours.
Finally, SUBSCRIBE it's free!
I need everyone to share my videos with friends and family and share using all social media sites to help me spread the laughter.
to thank you...
I'll have a NEW video every Saturday morning
until January 2020 (or longer?)

    • I keep trying to convey that the purpose of my performance is purely an ARTISTIC CHALLENGE. I really want to execute the most convincing rendition of a statue that I fool everyone. Success to me is when people walk past completely unaware that I am a person at all. I AM NOT trying to scare anyone. If that were the case I would jump out at everyone walking by and scream BOO! Instead it is only those people who get to curious and close or sit for a picture that I inevitably surprise! And instead of being shocked, they are amazed that I was able to fool them so well! That is the difference between me and a lot of 'pranks' on You Tube. I am not after viral videos I am after something more substantial, unforgettable moments that become fun memories for everyone I meet. Jim, Thank you for watching my videos!

    • Bronze Cowboy 🤠 we had a death this week with lots of tears and today our oldest grand child becomes a Doctor at the graduation which because of health reason I can't attend. I've encouraged GChild every step of the way everyday. So tears have flowed because I really wanted to be there. So you see your gift 🎁 of this video actually brought me into a giggle. I really needed it. Sometimes we do something good and don't realize that we gave a gift to someone that needed it at the time. Your video was a 🎁. It taught me out of darkness of tears there's alway sunshine shinning through. The grief of losing a family member hurts but happy at the same time because he's out of pain that cancer gives a person is something else. We've lost 8 in our family to cancer. Granny

    • Granny, I am so sorry to hear such sad news at such a time when your grandchild is celebrating a great achievement. My condolences for your loss and my Congratulations, for you have a Doctor in your family, wow that is a something to be proud of. Cancer is no friend of mine... it claimed my Mother when I was just 5 and my Father when I turned 18. Now, my wife's family is struggling through this awful disease... we just lost a cousin age 55 and an uncle was just given 6 months of life by the doctors. Terrible... It warms my heart to know that I have helped bring you some comfort in difficult times like these. Thank you for sharing and you are in my prayers.

    • Marc, I thank you for that observation and for watching my videos! Yes, I could have gone the other route and chose to focus on the 'viral' value of my videos at the expense of others, scaring the heck out of people is not my game, creating a difficult illusion is. I think actually trying to fool people is much harder than scaring them, and they can appreciate that more and they do. That is reflected in their reactions and in my videos.

    • @@cynthiaahern9081 When the older lady with the cane wished I had moved when they took the picture, that is where I could have moved sooner. HOWEVER, one thing that bothers me is when someone wants to set someone up and instead of having them sit beside me, they stay seated and tell the person they want to scare to take a picture, thinking it will surprise them... THAT NEVER WORKS! If you want to surprise someone tell them to sit next to me! Not, take the picture... You want to be the one taking the picture of the person being surprised NOT the other way around, why, why, why, do people not understand that? It happens ALL the time and really frustrates me because I never talk so I cannot explain it to them.

      @BronzeCowboy@BronzeCowboy4 жыл бұрын
    • @@BronzeCowboy lol. Yes I see where you're coming from. It may be because the person that wants to set them up wants to see them surprised which still doesn't make much sense because they would seem more surprised getting their picture taken while seated beside you. Maybe you're just so likeable that no one wants to move? And the ones not moving think they're more in on the game. Yes we people are an odd bunch at times. Still you make great entertainment that's fun and safe. I hope your makeup is safe. You don't want to end up like the Tin Man in Wizard of Oz.

    • Good observation! When I watch other living statue performers I notice things like that and try to take that into consideration when crafting my costume... that is one reason why I hate windy days! And, why you see me trying to pull my vest (jacket) tight around my body because I could feel it flopping against my back. On windy days I prefer sitting on a bench for that reason. But this day was so cool I had the chance to sit in this location and not worry about the Sun cooking me so I took the opportunity to spend a few minutes there.
