Which gullwing doors look better? The Mercedes, or the new Delorean in this video: kzhead.info/sun/dZuEdqaSmJaDpok/bejne.html ?
what a question............compare De Lorean to an SL .............
I like the Mercedes gullwing doors better. This 300 SLR is gorgeous. When consider how long ago it was manufactured -- it was so ahead of its time!
I definitely agree with you, wayyyy ahead of its time! 70 years later, and it still is a headturner!
Toto's head sticking out of the roof is amusing. 😂😂
The comment at 4:55 is wrong! Rudolf Uhlenhaut was head of the racing department! Mercedes-Benz retired from motorsport after the accident at the 1955 Le Mans 24 Hours. Uhlenhaut used the vehicle privately in the following years!
Thanks for the info!
It's a great video. There is a lot of great information about this luxury car. Thanks for sharing this video
Thanks for watching
Thanks for the video. I didn't realize there were two of these cars. Please note that Daimler-Benz did not pull out of racing following the Le Mans crash (the cause of that crash is very complicated) as they carried on until the end of the racing season, winning both the F1 and the sportscar World Championships. They did however pull out mainly due to the fall-out from the crash.
Surprised they sold it! To be honest It was the pride of their collection🥰
It did surprise everyone!
Well, luckily they still have the other one
Pronunciation tho?
Yeah, came here to say this.
These cars are so epic and beautiful as well
I think so too!
Absolutely worth every dollar 😊
It's absolutely beautiful and sound's incredible, good on you, mercedes
You should learn how to pronounce important words like Targa Floor-ee-o and Sotheby.
Thanks for the feedback
wow this is a amazing car i love it so nice
Glad you like it!
In more or less long term there is no profit to make with this car because of the price it solded. So in final, we can't really talk about investment. $142 000 000 RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love these cars 😍
I am shocked by the incredibly high price. I can't believe someone is willing to pay that much money for a car, although I must admit it is a true beauty. The history behind the car is also very interesting.
I guess someone values the history and the car to be worth that much
I still see the Preston Henn Ferrari 275 GTB/C breaking that.
Only time will tell...
I really like cars a lot and I really like their capabilities but I don't like to buy an expensive car
Sorry but the T80 will fetch one bil when it goes to auction
Nice car. But I don't know if I would pay that much.
Interesting content! I will admit this is a nice car but I think spending this amount of money one is a bit much.
You and me both!
Pretty ridiculous. This was like a one-off designed racer. Bugatti 41 Royales or Ferrari 250 GTO's were meant 'for the public' (even how few that potentially were). The fact that those still exist - coming through users' hands ... is much more reason for rarity than this Uhlenhaut. Just a silly auction result.
Neither Ferrari nor Bugatti have done the innovations of Mercedes both in racing and world records! They have quite a few world records and this car had a lot of firsts ever that later super cars now have!
4:45 is fangio
Big fan of Mercedes
Same here!
I would have watched all the video, but your pronunciation is so awful, I had to switch off. Sorry.
6:49 "Mille MIGALE" Who is this fool??
Millie Megaly? Targa Fiero? Ignorance excuses a lot, but this is unnecessarily insulting 😊😂!
thanks for the feedback... We have changed ourr VO artist who is more familiar with cars and their brands

"The best or nothing"

Yes it definitely is!
