A year later and this song still put me into tears. Especially 'every single day, i asked you to stay, when i should've let you go'. I finally managed to let that person this reminded me about go eventually, but deep down it still hurts and it always will, he put me through hell and it was absolutely awful, the worst heartbreak I ever experienced.. We were best friends and then he cut me off for no reason out of nowhere and I tried to ask him for explaination for 1,5 years but he didnt care at all... And I wish he would've realized he messed up and said sorry because even when I didn't know why he did what he did, I apologized as you do here but he probably never really cared about me so it was worthless.. I was bawling my eyes out when this song came out, it literally describes that whole situation.. And I hope that you feel better by now conor, I remember when you said that this song was made after you experienced a really bad heartbreak...my heart was breaking for you as well when I heard it, no one should be put through such a pain... I personally feel you may indeed just so happen to be an empath!!!
