👋🏼 About us
Hi y’all! We’re Adam, Kathryn, and Kona, an adventurous married couple (+ pup!) living on the road in our self-converted sprinter van! You can often find us driving all around the US and Canada, scoping out the best coffee shops, eating tacos and ice cream (we're a 5+ taco and 2+ scoop household), and enjoying nature.
We help travelers spend less time (and stress!) planning their trip and more time enjoying it! Our detailed travel guides, KZhead videos, and travel resources share the must-visit local eats, popular and off the beaten path sights, and tons of tips to make planning your next adventure a whole lot easier.

  • As we mentioned in the video, we are very aware that things could’ve been A LOT worse and we are thankful that it wasn’t. But this was still a very unexpected mishap that has personally impacted us and our feelings of frustration are still valid. We keep a lot of other struggles to ourselves, but wanted to share this to show the highs and lows of this journey and so no one wonders why our window looks janky in future videos.

    • You should always share. It's real life. We have RV'd for 30 years in 11 different RV's. Things happen. I have lost a tranny and an engine on 2 different trips. It's how you handle it that matters. Great job!!

    • Not your regular content and still great. There is value in seeing this part of your process. Keep doing what you both do! Ingenuity at its finest!!!!!!! Not boring.

    • Totally makes your adventures more memorable. Been there done that with rv'ing for years, travelled 5 times across Canada and USA roads trips. We should have documented them, lol. One was scary in Yellowstone, truck and camper that time, snow storm! Deep snow, so by 2 AM, we decided to book out of there, drove to Idaho where there was no snow. All this travel with a dog and a cat too. One of many adventures, also lots of good ones. But funny the not so good ones really stay with you. Thanks for sharing this one of yours.

  • I love the "real life" videos...bummer you had to go through it but nice improvising. I had to laugh at the comment "her expressions didn't match her tone". Anyone who has been married knows exactly what that means. Driving by the dreaded bush was hilarious...onward!

  • I really love that you decided to share this with us, because this is often the reality of travel. My family and I have yet to take a single trip where at least one thing didn't go wrong, and we've had our fair share where ALL the things go wrong. It's like my Aunt always says, "the family that melts down together, stays together!"

It shows the reality of traveling and exposes the human element. This can happen to anyone, and it's all in how you handle the situation and overcome the obstacle that defines who you are. • I had your redding video pop up for me the other day and instantly subscribed! I live across the street from the home depot you stopped at and I grew up in salinas (the pinnacles and big sur area) and it was awesome seeing someone enjoy them. The area where your window broke definitely could have turned far worse but glad to see it worked out in its own ways. Can't wait to see what other adventures you guys have planned (hopefully you make it to banff, that was my favorite spot during my motorcycle travel days 😁)

    • Luckily we don’t have much content like this to share. Our “normal days” are usually us behind a computer or doing regular chores just in different places. We’ll keep that in mind though. Thanks, Krista!

  • Thank you so much for sharing the video. The reason I check it every week to watch your adventures in 50% about seeing the places you visit and 50% seeing you two have fun together. Your personalities and upbeat spirit is what makes your videos so entertaining. You handled this mishap a lot better then I would have. I hope you can get your van repaired properly soon and can continue to enjoy good times on your trip to Alaska. Take Care and Gob Bless.

  • Thanks for showing the not so fun parts of adventure. Things don’t always go as planned and no matter how big or small the mishap is it still throws you and the plans off and you have to adjust and regroup. Plus as you said it’s your life in the van so you can’t just be nonchalant about it. So glad you worked out a solution and plan, fingers crossed it holds up 😀

  • Thank you for this video! I just backed my brand new van into a tree and put a significant dent in the metal next to the window. It will be an expensive repair and take our van out of commission for awhile. You reminded me that stuff like this happens to the best of us and your two are some or the best!! Hang in there and keep on truckin.
