  • Just to cover King Crimson shows mighty balls

    • in the months following the deaths of Greg Lake and John Wetton, my band would preface our closing song w/ the verses of 21st Century Schizoid Man; we'd planned on adding the full song to our regular set, but after the death of Greg Lake, we decided we wanted to do at least a bit of a tribute to KC, so we bumped the verses into our set instead of rushing the full song. Luckily we got better at it by the time John Wetton passed, but it wasn't exactly a happy time, all three of us were big fans of King Crimson.

    • I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this interpretation. A mighty fine tribute, indeed. I first heard the original on an AM radio station when it first came out, I had just turned thirteen. I was enchanted instantly, although my tastes were immature and unsophisticated. A few years later, I heard the whole album, and that was it for me. I adore KC.

  • I absolutely LOVE this collaboration of musicians. The material they have written and the covers theyve chosen are outstanding and worthy of being brought into the next generation of listeners and potential musicians. Les and Lennon together are like magic. Fantastic. I hope to witness this project LIVE at some point. Les now holds the spot of most viewed artist in my long list of concerts. 11 times in various bands. Long Live the odd ones.

  • Robert FRIPP :the mastermind behind 5 0 +years of the greatest music of progressive rock history.Fripp has been the vanguard of the Avant-garde since its conception. And Sean Lennon does justice to a hypnotic Greg Lake vocal and John would be proud.Les Claypool is always a bass virtuoso.Quite likely, the BEST cover I have ever heard. And the rearrangement of the masterpiece would make Mr.Fripp smile!Bravissimo!🤓🎼✨🙏🏼✨🎼

  • Go ahead and buy the 10" EP "Lime And Limpid Green" that features this tune and Pink Floyd's "Astronome Domine". Yes, this performance of King Crimson's "In The Court Of The Crimson King", is the best live cover I have yet heard. Sean Lennon is getting really talented at many instruments, notably guitar and drums, but his song writing is incredible. If you can find it, pick up his other group's LP, "Midnight Sun". Name of that band is THE GHOST OF A SABER TOOTH TIGER, OR "GOASTT". Side one of the LP is an incredible set of songs that are quite psychedelic. Good Stuff!!!

  • Sean is truly a composer as good as any working in film or elsewhere today. For years I've been a huge admirer---I bought Cibo Matto's work in which he was involved, his Into the Sun, Friendly Fire (and saw him live at Smith's Olde Bar in 2007 when he was touring for it), and his GOASTT work, and now this collaboration with Claypool simply tops it all off. I hope he keeps this up forever. Bravo, Sean.
