bill burr makes everything seem acceptable. he brought out the most genuine side of jerry.
Jerry is the most up front dude in entertainment
But the show was not genuine...where was the car? How about "2 comedians in a coffee shot smoking cigars."

If Bill was slouched down into that chair any lower, he'd be upside down.
The mutual respect is real. Really refreshing to hear a conversation with two great comedians/people
Seinfeld and Burr; such raw talents. Great to see Bill have fun and not want it to end...awesome job Jerry!
They're not "raw talents" at all though.......they're both very seasoned veterans, who have honed their skills for years & years. Their talent was "raw" around 30-35 years ago.
@@Holymakinaw If you type in "raw talent meaning" in the typical search engine, it will bring up a good definition; Raw talent, It often does not require any formal training or education. Raw talent is commonly self-taught and draws from an innate ability deep within.

The thing about Cuban cars is most of them only pass a 20ft test and just barely. Yeah they have all these old cars because their economy was closed off, but that's the thing - it was closed off. For nearly this entire time that meant no spare parts, no spare panels, no replacement engines, nothing. So the solution was to cobble everything together and make it work, and now the majority of the vehicles are pieced together from a dozen different cars and home body work all around. What's really interesting is this has actually created a whole class of extremely experienced craftsmen that have mastered body work completely out of necessity. Some of the really good ones can make *very* close looking panels, lots of it involving manual tools/machinery. But not everyone can afford it unfortunately, or rather justify the cost. Why pay for a replica when you can bump it out with a roofing hammer?
I think mighty car mods did a special there and showed the ingenuity of using.. A tractor engine in an Oldsmobile for instance
What's the 20-foot test?
@@Chalk89 How good does something look from x distance
@@drumboarder1 There's been lots of good pieces of media on the subject. One of my favorite was Jeremy Clarkson's bit from 20ish years ago; he interviews locals who talk about how the government seized all their sports and luxury cars, shows how some people keep their cars running or replace body panels, and ultimately how _delusional_ some of them are - such as a man who managed to hide a 300SL (yes, an authentic and real Gullwing) that has become completely rusted and rotten from being exposed to the elements for decades... but is still asking $2M for it like it's in pristine condition.
Have you been to Cuba? I went to Havana and they use those nice classic cars as taxis for the tourists. There are also some modern cars there, though they're kinda crappy, like a off-brand budget Toyota Tercel.
"I can't get comfortable with this chair" "It's like the ego chair. Now you're sitting above me" 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
Dang that “seems fresher” bit off the cuff is gold. We come from the surface INTO the water. Wow. Seinfeld’s still got it.
gold Jerry GOLD!!
I saw English comedian Ross Noble in a small theatre in Bathurst (country NSW Australia) when he spotted someone texting. Now Noble is renowned for riffing on stage and just seeing where it leads. After pointing the texter out he went on to a story, it was funny, clever, engaging and went for a further hour only to lead to a punch line about why texting during a live show is beyond rude. Just phenomenal. I would love to see Burr take on someone in a live show in such a way.
Noble called Australia home for quite a while I believe - lost his house to a bushfire so pissed off back to England.
Ross is probably the greatest comedian to work a crowd. His ability to improv and tie everything into his show is mind blowing.
True friendship is saying something profound and deep, giving them a piece of your soul, the true you. Then your good buddy just smirks and says "ya, but *obvious statement that destroys your thoughts*". And you say 'Oh ya, thank you!"

the title made me think he was going to go on a rant about the actual series. this was good too.
You could tell Bill was genuinely enjoying Jerry's company. Since Bill's high strung like myself you value those people the most.
I thought he looked a little nervous. Which would be understandable :p

This is my fav episode of this show. Love Burr
I love seeing a great comedian react with people, Bill is lovely to do this.
Bill Burr is phenomenal
In the ‘observational comedy’ genre, Bill (and late George Carlin) like to tackle the controversial issues of our lives, Jerry, on the other hand, likes to joke about mundane stuff, such as the guy walking his dog down the street or socks having a party in the washing machine!
love how bill and jerry bonded here. Super fuckin casual vibes just enjoying each others company for the short amount of time they had with one another. Memorable stuff.
My favorite Comedians in cars "interview" yet!!
I miss this show. I paid Netflix just for it. Had to cancel a bunch of stuff lately, but if there's ever a new season of this I'm right back.
Damn ! Jerry & Bill in one frame ?! This is GOLD !
Love Bill, even when he's not making jokes I love watching him.
They're neither in a car nor getting coffee, but this is truly enjoyable.
Jerry is one of the few people you can tell Bill feels nervous around.
Why would he? Jerry will never be as funny as Bill
@@iamsancho443 You got that right. Jerry was a good sitcom actor but a terrible comedian.
I wouldn't say nervous. Just respectful. They're both used to dominating the room, and here it seems to me like they're comfortable together as peers.
Bill's talked a little about this on his podcast. He opened for Jerry on a tour when Jerry had hit it big and Bill was still coming up and he was worried that Jerry would regret it given their difference in comedic style but Jerry laughed it off and told him it was all good, he enjoyed it. As Walter mentioned, Bill just respects what Jerry has accomplished and he seemed to pay that respect here. Bill is the better pure stand-up comedian but Jerry is the bigger star. Jerry has a much cleaner style but he's not a moralist like Bill Cosby and many forget that he's not above cruder humour like "The Masturbation Contest" which he managed to pull off under NBC. He also had Larry David writing a good chunk of the best bits of Seinfeld and if you know Larry from Curb, he goes way harder with the relaxed oversight of HBO.
@@MichaelJP nice pfp bra

That was a small slice of great! Thanks.
two of my absolute favorites.
Burr and Seinfeld can talk all day and it will never get boring
I love how bill burr subtly corrects Jerry about smoking “past the band” by telling him that the leader of the country that makes the best cigars used his glasses as a roach clip. If it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for me. Well played Bill 🫡
If it's a great cigar that's still smoking well, why would you put it down just because some people think it's...what, uncouth to smoke down to the nub? You give up on a cigar when it starts getting hot and unpleasant, not at some arbitrary point that other people think you should stop smoking at. Especially these days if you're forking out some ridiculous amount to enjoy a good cigar, you enjoy it. I actually once saw two very wealthy businessmen smoking some particularly gorgeous looking and smelling Cohiba Siglo 6s. They put them down HALFWAY through and left the lounge...what the actual F. They weren't at any point stopping and savouring them either, they were just thoughtlessly puffing and talking as if they were mere fashion accessories. People who smoke cigars for an image and/or to show off some opinions and stuff about cigars really annoy me as a lover of the leaf. To see two siglo 6 going to absolute waste like that was really painful to watch. I mean, Cohibas can often be overrated for sure and now they are priced beyond all reason, but I have enjoyed a handful of great Siglo 6 in the past and when they're blended and rolled properly they are indeed phenomenally delicious cigars.
Amen 😊
