@@imcgonigle2006A fallout 3 open world style fallout 1-2 would be pretty cool. Idk how you would work with the inconsistency in art styles without disrespecting the original games but its a cool concept. This could probably be done by modders on the fo4 engine.
My expectation for PC: ultrawide support, 3 small cosmetic dlcs, one to 2 weapon dlcs, a store update, breaks all mods.

Not really this will actually help the developers as a programmer my self updating the base game will allow for mod authors to put there mod on creation meaning the mod will be in the game probably for free im not sure but also the fixes with the mods is really great yeah the mod developers do have to do sone porting changes for the new patch, but there already working with bethesda to get the mod on creation club.
Finding out that dogmeat can just take that locked weapon in vault 111 is quite funny actually.

set the game to update only on launch and ONLY launch through the F4SE. As long as you do that, you'll never update and your mods will never break.

If you’re on PC, there is literally no point of updating. if they would’ve added FSR3 or frame generation that would’ve been a compelling argument but honestly, this update adds nothing to PC players. A Modded fo4 is already thousands of miles ahead of this update
Research how to stop Steam updates via the "App Manifest" method, and just to be safe, use that alongside the tactic mentioned by @robertkolb2288.

I don’t know if this is unreasonable, but I would’ve liked for Bethesda to implement some of the guns from F76 that weren’t originally in F4 (such as the LMG, M79 Grenade Launcher, Gauss Pistol, etc.).
I wonder if they ever patched the ammo reload count for the Lever-Actions, I know they did it for FO76 but unsure if they did for 4.

Im playing Fallout for the first time ever. Last night I started with Fallout 3. When Im done with Fallout 3, it will be Fallout New Vegas next. After New Vegas Im going to play Fallout 4.
Prepare to be disappointed on Fallout 4. It's just a watered down version from Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas in various ways. Bethesda did that basically because of money.

Started over on my PS5 just figured out the Automatron glitch crashing the game after buying a season pass for DLCs . This is one of my top game series look forward to new content.
Mod list is officially toast when this drops. We have been playing at 144 fps 4k textures and current gen graphics with tons of new Missions. Everything they release will need to be modded and debugged all over again.
Hoping it includes fsr3. That’s the only way I was able to play cyberpunk at a stable 60fps
I had a Xbox back then and I still remember the simplicity of modding Fallout 4 on console. It was awesome and all you had to do was go to the "workshop" or whatever and press download and wait for it to install. Very fun times and I need to play it again I didn't even play the DLC
Cannot tell you how pissed off I would have been if PS5 wasn’t included in the update. So excited to be playing with new updates for Fallout 4!

@@zzygyy If its gonna still work after the Upgrade I can't say of course, since it hasn't been released yet, but if you mean in general- I just moved my 90+ hours save game from my PS4 disc version to PS5 download version (base game only) via USB stick and it works fine. And since the upgrade will mostly just improve stability and gives 4k and 60fps I think it shouldn't be a problem.

Hopefully we will have the option to join the Enclave, as it makes sense for the sole survivor (male or female) to join the (apparent) continuation of the pre-war government.
I don't want to burst your bubble, I'm sorry but do you really think the new quest/content will feature an entirely joinable Enclave Faction? you should taper your expectations lol because that will not be the case.
Just a Quest to take out the Enclave remaining. America Rising 2 is good for what you want.

@@vonborgah Hey, that's just my take on it. As with everything, you're entitled to your own opinion.
As long as they fix that issue in front of Greentech Genetics, where there's a spot under the map that accumulates a junk pile that gets more and more dense as you play the game until it becomes so laggy it causes your game to freeze and crash if you get within render distance of that zone. Makes a lot of Brotherhood, Railroad and institute late-game quests unplayable, meaning if you don't complete the main game post-haste you lock yourself out of it for good.
Now if only Rockstar would do the same with RDR2…

I like the thought of the Enclave elements becoming available for others to build from. I recall with AE for Skyrim how modders took the small Shivering Isles content and built it into a larger, more complete mod. Given America Rising and its sequel, I can only imagine what will be done with the Enclave stuff. All I ever ask is a stop to the Thirty Bucks per pixel per second gouge attempts.
I'm pretty hyped, I'm on xbox and have alot of mods but I assume it'll be similar to what happened with Skyrim. I was able to play with no problems with all my mods installed. A few weren't there but they don't outwardly delete any from your load order, so I can't wait to jump back in and see what the new content is.
I was expecting a graphical remaster but sounds like it's just double the fps for current gen consoles and another quest line. It's on sale for $10 on GOG but now I have an excuse to save $10 and put that towards the Tomb Raider 1-3 remaster when that goes on sale.
Remasters of the og fallout 1, 2, and fallout tactics bos would be pretty sweet.

I love your mods you run with , I too have tons on my game but the amount of times I do new start still is a good day but the new content might just be a game break so new start then a refresh of mods and many days building after I do all the quests

ii would like to see the build mechanic smoothed out. in the current game certain items and structures cannot be moved, like floating ladders and stuff.
I will be happy if they fix Creation Club that is broken as hell (Criminally so since you have to pay)... Also would be nice if there is an option to uninstall creations (like community mods) without having to UNINSTALL THE GAME
well looks like i am redownloading and going through my mods and starting a new game... actually kind of pumped.
lets hope they redid the ground textures to not have bs stuff like 10 grass clumps in the same 5ft area overlaping each other. Think I play game for almost a year before trying to mod it and one of my first mods was "scrap everything". Dang did I find out how much pointless stuff they put in just in Sanctuary Hills alone. This b.s. junk spread throughout map is what causes most of the texture and fps problems.
There is a mod that removes them for PC

Same here. I think its A Forest Mod on Nexus Mods Website and he maybe using ENB for the lighting.
The only thing to make this worth it is if they increase the mod soace to 5GB like Skyrim is. Makes no sesne to keep it at a measly 2GB on Consoles. With theyd jjst up both games to 10GB then wed be able to use many big mods and probly even get bigger mods ported over more as well for consoles but im not holding hope sadly.
For having came out on a whole different generation of hardware compared to skyrim, if anything, you'd expect the game to have a bigger file size for mods.

I had great time when I was a teenager with fallout 2. Absolutely amazing game. If there would be a remaster of it - I would most likely buy it and play again. Also I remember that when Fallout 3 came out I was kinda disappointed that we did not had this isometric view like in Fallout 2. My pc back then also could not play it. So here is where my journey with fallout end. But still I remember this game in very veryy positively way.
I put in over 100 hours of on console before I had a PC. I'm excited to start a fresh game for the first time on PC.

This isn't the first time you're able to play Fallout 4 at 60fps on console; because sone time ago, they added fps boost to the game on Series X, allowing you to play itcat 1080p at 60fps; then a while after that, you could get mods for the Xbox version that allowed us to play the Xbox version at 4K at 60fps.
I look forward to it, and I am glad they're including a new DLC. That said, my questions are... will they allow more than 100 creation club items on PS5? It said quest fixes, which ones? I loved the Nuka World DLC, but the main quest and the companion quest are so broken.

The game has 60fps with fps boost on series x. Also with a mod around 4k with fps .

The game looks more lush and green/colourful than the version i used to play on ps4 pro.
All you need to do to stop updates is changing the manifest in steamapps to read only. Its as simple as right clicking on the file and check the read only box and apply. Anyone who mods this game on PC is able to do this I don't see why you don't recommend it and think its complicated. If you are using mods do this or the update will break your mod list.
So if I have it on Gamepass but I bought the DLC can I still get it?

From what I gather, the only mods that will break are those that require the F4SE (which, granted, are a lot of mods). I only use one mod, the cheat terminal, and it only requires the base game as a requirement to download. You think this one is safe?

I have a habit of starting a playthrough and losing interest very quickly. However, after not touching Fallout 4 for over a year, I started a new playthrough without any mods since they may get broken when the update drops. I was shocked to actually enjoy the game with no mods, I feel like I've played with mods for so long that the vanilla Fallout 4 experience feels new, lmao.

But you dont need a PC to experience 60fps, Xbox Series X (not sure if Series S has this) has the FPS Boost feature where you can play Fallout 4 in 60FPS but it does reduce the resolution to i think 1080p

don't count on it working. it should, but do not count on it.
In my experience with getting next gen update on games, the trophies and games are not carried over. You will most likely have to start a new save for the ps5 upgraded version.

Takes about 3 to 4 weeks for mod teams to update and fix i image some will just work but expect most if not all to be broken for few weeks

Idk why, but NOBODY seems to know this: If you play on Xbox Series X, you CAN PLAY AT 60 FPS! Just activate fps boost in your console settings for the game

Fallout 4 already was 60fps with backwards compatibility on Xbox Series X. Not on the PS5 though.
