Amazingly simple but efficient instruction. Cleaning windows has been a disappointing venture. Thank you
This might be the best and easiest car window cleaning video I have ever seen and trust me I have seen a lot!!!
Wow, thanks!
How many ?
Make sure you order the specialty microfibers from his website 😂
You got my wife all exited about cleaning windows in our house using your method. Ha Ha Great results!
Excellent!
So the short take away from this is I've been overcomplicating window washing! Thanks for another very informative video!
Glad it was helpful! Yea i keep it super simple with great results
@@imjoshv you know - I think that is the key to everything in life. Look for the simple answers and it generally works out better!
The same technique I learned when washing cars at the Esso Station in North Carolina over 50 years ago. And it works even better today with micro fiber towels. Love how Josh takes pride in everything he does.
Awesome!!
Great video. Used this technique with flawless results. Thanks for the tips and tricks.
Awesome. He proves that water alone can do the job without any “chemicals”! This is the type of person I’d hire every time.No BS!
Thanks Ralph

Really enjoying your videos. Great info on cleaning vehicles. Can't wait to try out al you instructions on our vehicles. Keep up great work. Appreciate it. Learning a lot
I tried this yesterday and it worked really well. Also while I had the wet and dry Rag I used this method on the dash and door panels and it also worked very well and didn't leave the dull residue that APC leaves behind.
Fantastic video. For the first time in as long as I can remember my glass is streak free! Real easy and cheaper than any other method. I appreciate cheap!!
You explained it perfectly, my friend better than anybody else
Great content brother! I appreciate all the helpful tips and tricks that’ll help my business grow expeditiously!
saw this video this week and tried this week, amazing results thx for the quality pro tips
Great video, The majority of "car detailing know it alls" would never tell U this. This is why my wife and I watch U!! KEEP UP THE GREAT TIPS TRICKS Your friend JP from NC.
Thanks soo much for this video mang! Im just a weekend warrior and the widows have always been the hardest thing to keep clean! You just earned a new sub!

Awesome technique! This will definitely help me out when I'm cleaning my car windows. Thanks!
kzhead.info/sun/atRpetySi3igpoU/bejne.html
Great video. It's nice to see someone on KZhead doing the nitty gritty stuff about detailing. Yeah , paint work , polishing, gloss is sexy kind of video everyone wants to do but at the end of the day its this kind of stuff that truly makes a difference. Ty again.
Thanks Derrick! Appreciate it
All your videos have been super useful! I just want to say thank you.
Happy to hear that! Thanks so much
Great content , like how the videos are laid out 👍
Awesome video!! I now want to go clean my windows
Best hack ever! Had a client today with bad water spots on the glass - after chemicals and polishing I used your water and towel hack- worked amazingly!!!! Thanks for the info!! Wish I knew how to add a photo of the results!
Great technique with awesome results, thanks Josh 👍😁
👍👍
Omg..I will definitely try this on my car…thanks for the demonstration.
Great video. I use a microfiber folded wrapped around a squeegy for the inside no fatigue on shoulder or no having to get the drivers side from the passenger side. Easy and quick. Full contact without contorting your body in any way
kzhead.info/sun/atRpetySi3igpoU/bejne.html
Thanks for this video - I just tried this out and it worked great!! The only thing I did differently was using a waffle weave MFT instead of 200s since it is what I have (I'm home hobby, not pro) and it seemed that the drying towel took a long time to feel damp enough to change. Cheers!
👍👍👍 Very impressive! I can clean most windows, however, my arthritic shoulder has major difficulty functioning, swiveling to get the inside windshield close to the dash. 🥺 Also, It's below freezing here, have to wait until spring to try again.
Thank you so much I am over the moon about it!
👍👍👍
Thanks dude this helped a lot!
Good sir THANK YOU...this work amazingly well....
Massively helpful video. I have tried a multitude of online tricks to clean the inside front and rear glass on my car. The rear is steeply raked making access difficult. I have never loved the idea of spraying tons of cleaner on the window only to have it drip onto the back ledge and I can never seem to get rid of the smudges. I've tried all manner of glass cleaners and even a variety of squeegees. The results always seem fine until you drive into the sun the next day. Then I came across this video. Water only. Wipe on, wipe off (RIP Mr. Miyagi...). Tried it tonight and my glass is spotless. Other than needing to be a yoga master to reach all of the edges, the technique is the best I've found. Sometimes, a simple solution is the best solution. Thx
In the 34 years of driving my 88 Camaro, I have always dreaded the contortionism required to get the windshield clean on the inside. It is the most uncomfortable process.
I think a stick with a squeegee would make things much easier
There's a handle with a triangular "foot" on it, that is hinged. On it, you attach a microfiber bonnet (omes with one bonnet, but extras can be bought), then you can spritz it with water and, in essence do what Josh does, but you do it seated in the front seats. I can't contort into a position myself, like Josh does, so this tool comes in very handy.
awesome video thanks for the streak free finish...
Really feels like a caring boss teaching you 😊
Thanks so much!
Fantastic! I've always used a glass cleaner and had a hard time getting all the residue off. Just water? Who knew?! One thing you neglected to mention was how to wash the towels. I've heard that fabric softener is a real no-no. Thanks!!
Thanks Josh this work really good.
👍👍👍
Underrated video!
Outstanding video brother 👍
Thank you!
Josh, Great economical Tip, you just saved us viewers a few bucks on cleaning solutions. My go to mixture for super dirty windows from (Smokers, oils from hands) is Distilled Water mixed with IPA and ONR mopped up with Microfiber rags solely dedicated for glass cleaning.
IPA? ONR?
@@JTKAG IPA - Isopropyl Alcohol, ONR - Optimum No Rinse
@@jperez7499 kinda disappointed the IPA wasn't 🍺. Darn it 🤣
@@JTKAG Beer 🍺 after the Detail is done.
@@JTKAG lol SAME
Holy shit! It works! Thanks bro!
My dad taught me this 30 years ago when I started to detail cars. His windows looked like they were always rolled down, and the inside of the windows never had a fog or haze on them, that's how clean and streak free they were. I didn't believe him until he showed me, been doing it ever since.
Awesome!!
Can i use those cheapie fiber towels at harbor freight
@@matt7iron or Costco ??
Please answer questions above. Thank you!
Always hated cleaning the inside of the windshield glass because it would be kind of smeary. Yup I learned was to use Adams Polishes brilliant glaze. The glass stays streak free and super clear at night. Use the glaze specifically just for the windshield now
Definitely going to try this. I hate windows so if this works it will be amazing.
Same here! I HATE doing the windows..I've gotten smaller squeeges, extender tools, ect. He makes this look so effortless haha I'll be trying his method today! Keep ya posted
Worked at a detail shop from age 15 through college. Just watching you do those interior windows made my shoulder hurt.
Haha I get it. The under handed cross over reach helps
kzhead.info/sun/atRpetySi3igpoU/bejne.html
thanks a lot man
Thanks for the video
Nice job. What if the windows are so filthy with mud that has splashed up from a heavy rain? Wouldn't the water and towel only smear the mud across the glass?
Great Video Josh!! But I Have A Question Will This Only Work if We Have Deionized Water?.. And Not With Tap Water?..🙂👍👍
Great video Josh…just a quick tip I use the invisible glass(stick) you should check it out since you mentioned pressure points
I need to get one of those. Especially for the inside back window towards the bottom thats always hard to reach.
What about after a couple windows n the 1 pad dirty?
@@Timsautosolutions Just put your MF Towel between the glass and the head or flat are a that holds the towel and proceed per the recommendations in the video. Its just an extension of your hand. I have acouple of those wand "reachy" things that were from Auto Zone, the work well. The micro fibers always roll or bunch in my hands so the folding method looks good but is not sustainable.
15:22 U always teach us something! Keep up the lessons your the man!
Great video of we need video on water spots from Natral rain when I wash my car that’s always out side window have water spots drives me nuts
Nice thanks . I have a 2017 Cadillac XTS and my back windshield is hard to reach. What do you recommend? Much love from Philly!
Great job
Thanks
Any suggestions on disposable cloths to dry with? I ask because I have seen directions to NOT wash cloths with detergent. They say there can be detergent residue left in the cloths which will smear your windows the next time you clean.
I like to clean all inside glass first, then the outside. I use the Stoner's Glass Cleaner (Tint Safe), and the Stoner's Glass Tool (On inside Windshield & Rear Window). I use a low nap & dry with a high nap microfiber. I always spray product directly on microfiber.
Been using Stoner's for years but didn't know they had a tool. Something like that could make the process of cleaning the inside glass less agonizing.
Eric, thanks for the reply, Keep It Clean!@@ericfranke1637
Excellent video my detailing guy always uses wet towel, but not the dry towel. I think the dry towel makes a big difference in getting rid of streaks that are not visible until nighttime
Yea the dry towel is key to absorb all the left overs that can cause streaks
Every microfiber towel I try leaves lint behind when window cleaning. Even the highest rated lint free towels on Amazon. I will buy and try the towels from your site, and hope for the best.
I've recently switched to a squeegee for that reason. MF towels will always lint.
Hilarious to have a windshield cleaning demo on an already crystal clean windshield , thumbs up 👍🏻
Well it wasn’t covered in mud but it was way more dirty than I would want.
This totally works! I was just fighting the streaks! Plain water, who knew!
👍👍👍
Good to know, I'll have a go
What are your tips for detailing in the winter. Shop ideas and ideas to keep your products protected when they're on the vehicle's when you do location details
Eager to try this but I just detailed my leather seats and interior with creamy and sealant and can imagine that just water will remove the predictable off gassing and Florida bug droppings etc??
Hi from Japan … Thank you for the video. I would like to ask you one thing here. I wanted to clean and protect glasses on my new car so I went to local shop to get something good. I thought I bought great one, so immediately jumped to get the job done. Result wasn’t bad, but … … but after rain one day I realized some really bad stuff on all windows. Looks like wax and it seems to be impossible to remove this and get back my windows normal. Also when it’s raining and using wipers some weird film showing on the window for a short time and it’s hard to see for 2 seconds. Do you have any good solution for this issue ..? Thank you.
I have a sierra truck elevation what tip do you recommend to clean the bugs off the front fascia and head lights without scratching? It is a black truck
Thanks for the great video. All the techniques are great and I use most of them. However my issue with the interior of the glass is little fuzz residue, regardless off the microfiber towels I use and I've tried many many types and brands. Also I tried using many cleaners, Stoner, Windex, Chem Guys, water with dawn, magic erasers, etc. Any tips to rid of those annoying fuzzies.

After watching a couple of your videos and realizing that you often give a short summary of the whole point of the video, I subscribed. I have watched so many detailing videos from so many channels lately, yours is one of very few I subscribed to. I cannot overstate how much I value that quick note at the start. For example, (1) in this video "its just water and microfiber cloths", (2) in your Amazon Basics review video you give a super quick conclusion about the product at the start. I will watch a video if I am interested. I will not watch a video if I feel it is simply extending a simple message or withholding a simple message to manipulate me into watching the video. That is not useful to me. At best I will skip through the video to glean what I can quickly. However, if you give me the bottom line at the start, I will 100% watch the video if I might need more. With that start to a video, I will know if the video will be useful to me or not. Thank you, so much.
question does this work on high humidity weather situation ? BTW u rock Josh!
When you used micro fiber towel to clean windscreen. It was just clean straight water? Or did you add any cleaning fluid? Would you suggest using a clay bar to get off the real deep dirt out first. Then clean with just water.
I was very skeptical about this method, but this afternoon i tryed it on my 2 year old car ( never cleaned the windshield).... IT DOES WORK ! ......never thought it might work with plain water, but it does.....no streaks in 5 min, only water and 5 towels.... Thank you for posting this !
Lost me @5 towels LMAO
What would you recommend for anti fogging??
Does this remove the need to clay bar to get rid of all the contaminants?
I would like to see some videos on how to get rid of water spots I been using one product and having some success but could use help
If the auto manufacturers would figure out a way to seal all the plastic in cars cleaning the windows would be so much easier. That shit the off gassing leaves behind is near impossible to get off the front and back window. Great cid thanks
Are you using special water to prevent any hard water spots on glass? Thanks. You are my go to whenever I have a detail question.
kzhead.info/sun/atRpetySi3igpoU/bejne.html
I always have to use some glass cleaner first to get the oils off. I have to get the footprints off of the windshield and the sunroof.
"footprints off of the windshield and sunroof"? 🤣🤣🤣
Hey, my old taurus and now a 2004 Ranger both have foggy side windows where they have been rolled up and down. This dude grabbed something from his shop and cleaned all of it off the taurus, but he didnt tell me what it was! I think it was some buffering compound. He just wiped it on, rubbed it around, wiped it off and it was clear again! any ideas how he did it? TY!
Hey this is the first video for me I was really impressed. What about smokers can you still just use water to clean the nicotine off the windows I did subscribe looking forward to seeing more of your videos
Thanks! I depends on how bad the smoker was. But yes I typically still just go with water alone!
@@imjoshv wow thanks for answering me yeah you know what with winter coming and trying to save some money I just figured I'd do my windows myself I usually bring the car in every month or two to have it washed and they do my windows real nice But I have a big garage and it sounds like an easy way to do it myself with no streaks thank you so much for your your knowledge and sharing it with others God bless you and looking forward to seeing more of your videos
On the front windshield inside, why didn't you clean the passenger side from the driver seat as you did for the driver side?
On average how many blue and black towels do you use per vehicle
Have tried using microfiber towels for glass but always get some very fine linting that reflects on the glass?
Same
do you recommend rain x?
Dawn soap/water and 0000 steel wool. If any hard water stains left, use vinegar and water. Finish up with regular window cleaner. Always switching up microfiber towels of course.
kzhead.info/sun/atRpetySi3igpoU/bejne.html
Hi. I liked your video and instructions, but I have a question: What about removing the "greasy" film on the inside caused by plastic off-gassing? Don't you really need a soap, such as Dawn, to really clean that? Thanks.
Magic eraser and water. Then hit with glass cleaner
Excellent video good sir. You know pro window cleaners that do homes and offices use just water with the tiniest drop of dishwashing liquid. Just goes to show how the auto industry over promotes products just for profit. Do you have or can you do a video on wheel cleaning?
Dishwashing always leaves streaks.
I like to use an half an ounce of ONR with distilled water in a spray bottle werks Awsome for me no streaks and I live in the southwest desert 🏜 of Texas
What's ONR?
I've tried every imaginable product over the years and they all leave streaks. Or they fog up on the first cool day. For my money I use warm water and a few drops of dish soap just to break the surface tension and then finish off with a squeegee / synthetic chamois leather. Its basically the same as Josh but my screen seams to get more off gasing from the dashboard because my car is always in full sun. So do the same routine on a regular basis and save $$$ on screen cleaners. - Thanks
Watching this guy clean windows is like saying to Pavarotti “teach me to sing like you “
What about window tracks, the weather sealing around window?
This is hilarious cause where i used to work i would clean the bathroom windows with water from the sink and they always looked the same as when we used the glass cleaner. Just gotta get it dry before it dries.
Use the back your hand for interior windshield cleaning
Only water? Even if the inside windshield has a film from out gassing of the dashboard plastic in the heat?
Can u use newspaper instead of the dry towel
Is distilled water better? And will this work on “smokers” windows?!?!
Do you use distilled water?
So, using this method leaves no lint behind? My issue is LINT. I've tried every MF, every pile, and I still manage to leave lint. I end up using paper towels or a hand towel to clean up the lint. It drives me mad, especially at night or in the sun.
Dose it matter if you use regular tap water or would distilled water be a better choice?
kzhead.info/sun/atRpetySi3igpoU/bejne.html
Lol yeah I tried this but it doesn’t work in the south with the large bugs we have lol but maybe in other climates .
Are you using plain tap water or distilled water ?
What about hard water stains on the glass? This method doesn't remove those i'm sure? Also, do you have a tutorial on how to clean window tint?
I'll have to give this a try! Were you using your DI water?
I usually do since thats what in my tanks in my mobile set ups. But it works just as well with just tap water
Cool
The towel trainer. Hmmm impressive.
