The Eddy Bio states that He was defeated by Kazuya's "Overwhelming Power". It did not mention Lucky Chloe defeating Eddy.

Anna is heavily requested on all social media platforms by fans.Look anywhere, she is mentioned more than any other character that currently is not in T8.The devs don't care about Anna and never will.If they cared then the Anna/Nina rivalry would have been in T8 base roster/story
Lei was the most requested in social media at some point too, it was also the worst selling character out of all T7 DLC and hands down one of the most consistently least used characters in ranked. Social media persistent whiners are not a good metric for just about anything, you don't develop games based on that input.
I don't blame them, Anna's player base is too low They don't want do put another Lei in the game and spend money for nothing

LoL I remember when Moonsault Slayer was so sure that Reina was a "replacement" for Lidia because they were "too similar" and because of that Lidia, would not probably never come back in T8 ! 😂 So hilarous... It's talking like you don't know martial arts at all and that Shotokan Karatedo (Lidia) is not Taido (Reina)!. Of course, she's here, totally logical that they would not get rid of all the work, (her mocap, stances and movelist) made on her for T7. She even had to be in the base T8 roster in my opinion. We may never know why she was not here at T8 release...🙄 Anyway I'm so happy that Lidia is back ! 👍👍👍
Yeah we have much more similar characters like jun and asuka, kuma and panda so this is much better

I think that zaf change might be startup frames. As a zaf player everything beats out my running 1+2. Like literally everything. So if startup frames changed that's amazing for pressure.
Yeah as a Zaf player I can't be agree more with you ! I just use it as a combo filler in T8. Her UF 1+2 was "replaced" by that move in T8 but it was a lot better in T7. I hope they will make WR 1+2 better. 😉

lidia is cool asf, but i was kinda hoping Miguel for the story mode. if you look back at tekken 7 when playing miguels story. he says that he rather kills jin when hes full of hope after beating him. so the dynamics would somewhat be interesting carrying over to tekken 8 since jin is heading to that hero arc.

If Fahkumram and Marduk are in season 1, then I want it a surprise to see what they look like and same with the rest of the dlc characters That is why I wish we have no internet because the Internet spoils everything

Tekken players need to realize that Lidia was always a Tekken 8 character that was brought over to Tekken 7 due to its massive success. Same goes for Fahkumram and Leroy for the simple fact you don't create brand new characters in the twilight years of a game.
im Jin main and growing up i loved Jin and i hated hehhachi but if you look at the amout of damage kazuya and jin has caused this makes hehihachi look like the most sweetest thing on earth yet he 2nd problem all cause he aint want sit down and have really deep convo with his son telling him why he did it

The second dlc character I’m going to ignore
I think the second character should've been Either Lei, Anna or Julia. Nothing against Lidia of course, but Anna, Lei and Julia are important and iconic Tekken characters and they've been left out again which is frustrating. They could've added Lidia to a season pass number two. I would've added Lei, Anna and Julia alongside Eddy on the season one pass and then had a second pass with Lidia, Kunimitsu, Miguel and Bob. And then a season pass three with Marduk, Armor King, Lucky Chloe and Fakhuram.

What if Reina secretly Trained under Lidia
Her Karate styles are different. Lidia is pure Shotokan Karatedo and Reina is Taido. Taido is based on Karatedo so It's pretty normal to see some similarities but these are far to be the same in the final. 😉

I'm hyped for Lidia considering I never played Tekken 7. Sucks for those guys who have to rebuy if they want to play her. Not my problem, and I don't care. I get to play her for the first time. That is all I care about. She is already announced, and they won't change that. She is coming unless you blow up the company or something. Deal with it haters; Complain harder. LOL. Maybe that is why they brought her back. For new players like me. Old players should control their lust to rebuy her. It's a choice for you to buy her again. Nobody is forcing ya, and they have all right to resell a character wherever they want.
Is Akuma possible as a DLC character in the far future? Asking for a friend 😂😂😂
Doubt it for a number of reasons but hey Akuma and the others live on in T8 via Heat, Heck even Noctis lives on in Victimus Prime. That aside if they did bring back Akuma they’d probably have a horrible time writing him a story chapter in that he’d failed a 2nd-3rd time to kill Kazuya 😅 but even if they didn’t go that route him getting in with no story mode still would be slim considering the contract rights probably ran out or close to and they’d probably like to try someone new. And that’s if we get any guest at all since Harada really doesn’t want any without considering until Season 2 if he even cares at that point.
I’ll pay for Lidia again before I pay for Akuma again at this point.

Yuck, this character again. I feel that way every time every tekken puts it all only on the Mishima section of the story. When they forced us to have Kazuya as the constant presence on the main menu, that is exactly what I felt. I'll be grateful to have Lidia in the menu instead (Though what I truly hope is they give us the option to choose who we want in there).
I’m happy for the people who mains lidia. But I’m disappointed,like they are so lazy to put same T7 dlc back to T8. Legit the same with the beach stage. I’m excited for the story mode but I’m disappointed that T8 is becoming a $ grab, bamco being super greedy. But looks all fighting games are going that route 🤷🏽♂️

I'll argue it is a cash grab but closer to halo infinite. Solid gameplay at the beginning, then takes a huge dive in later seasons. It's still not as bad as a lot of other titles out at the moment with cash grab tendencies.. *staring at DOA6 plus EA Activision Ubisoft.*

Low Key disappointed by the stage choice. They went with a Tekken 7 stage in low demand, instead of a high demand stage like moonlight wilderness, Tekken 4 rooftop, or electric fountain

To be honest, the Lidia announcement was extremely disappointing to me. I just don't know anyone who would have wanted her back over any all the other possible characters absent in T8.
While I don’t share the disappointment we still got two more characters for Season 1 before Season 2 (a while to go) so despite anybody feeling let down at the moment they might actually bring back some characters that the currently disappointed players want.
You can't always get what you want so let these butthurt ass fans be disappointed they can go cry an shithole river at this point

all the did was copy and past the last dlc characters and used the beach ball stage as the “new stage.” basically using new assets from tekken 7 for characters and a stage that’s already there zero hype of any kind for these characters won’t be spending a cent on this game as I have my main and that’s good enough. This game is kind of dying out IMO cause i don’t see them addressing all the online issues and that to me comes before balancing. takes too long to get matches, shouldn’t have to go back to character select or stage select, infinite rematch in casual or least have first to five or ten in casual. the online still suffers from people using hacks to auto block and punish, creating high ping and lag, no wifi filter, etc etc etc lame that’s my take but if your happy with the announcement cool
