BREAKING NEWS: RIVERS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY GETS NEW SPEAKER
The member representing Bonny State Constituency, Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo, has emerged as the new Speaker of the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly. He was elected on Wednesday at 10am during plenary, in line with the Standing Order of the House. In his acceptance speech, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo, thanked the members for electing him as the new Speaker sequel to the resignation of the former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Edison Ogerenye Ehie. Speaking on the floor of the House, Oko-Jumbo said: “This is in line with Section 92(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (CFRN 1999) as Amended.

I pity all the people thinking Fubara was weak, the man was never weak. Even him not acting all these while na strategy. The end game is that those wikes legislators seats will be declared vacant and election recontested, the man needed time to ensure all the election machineries(riggers, thugs etc) in those constituencies are for him first, before moving to declare the seat vacant and pushing for a new election into those seats. that is what he has been doing all these while. It would have been pointless for him to have the court declare those seats vacant immediately, only to go to election field when the election machineries are not on your side yet
