    • Nope, there is a reason for everything which happens especially in Uttrakhand. It's nature which decides who can or not experience what Gabi is feeling, others even when they reach the points, they don't feel nothing. So, like he said that you need to flow with India and see where she takes you 🙏🇮🇳

The emotions play roller coaster, I get pulled up into bliss, but the next moment I race down into the reality of Indian life. Since I travelled to India for the first time in 2004, I left a big part of my heart there. No other country I have visited has given me back as much as India. Travelling India is a drug, every day you are intoxicated by experiences you could never have imagined. My next trip will also be to the Himalayan region, it will be a very very long journey. I love India.

  • From the ancient time of India and from the birth of oldest religion in the world , Hinduism , Himalaya has been mentioned as center of spirituality. This tradition continued after birth of Buddhism also and spread in Tibet and other places from there. And not only that , Himalaya actually give life to India because If Himalaya would not exist , the cold flow of air from Siberia and Mongolia would make India unfertile and harsh weather to live. I read it somewhere that India exist because Himalaya exist.

  • I went to Uttarkhand last year after debating about going or not and it was the MOST peaceful place I have ever been to, almost as if in some parts you feel like you're on another planet. At night, the sky is so clear because of no pollution so stars and moon seem so close especially cause you're around 15,000 feet above sea level. I have been to Switzerland also, but something is special about Uttarkhand that cannot be replicated. Its the ambience, the peacefulness and fuel for the soul. Maybe I feel this way because its my motherland but I don't know, I tell everyone you must for once visit Uttarkhand.

India has everything. Your video is a reminder to me of all the beauty that I saw up there on the way to and in the Himalayas, and how cold it can get. Lots of fun. I have to admit, I've never seen Gangotri when everything was closed. That would be very different, but it depends on the season. But it closes down for about 6 months, but I did find a few sadhus who stay there, and in places like Badrinath, for the whole winter. Whew! I couldn't do that.

However, foreigners require special permit, if I’m not wrong. Gangotri temple to Gaumukh is about 18 km, in between there is a place called Bhojbasa where there are some staying provisions in tents etc. In between Uttarkashi and Gangotri, you missed the Gangani Hot Springs.
