    • For K-1st, there's a similar marble run system called GraviTrax Junior that has larger simpler pieces. It's not compatible with the regular GraviTrax, which is geared for ages 8 and up. For ages 10 and up I have a free STEM/Bible curriculum that uses GraviTrax to teach simple physics (mechanics), digital logic (computer science), Biblical principles, and some cool marble trick shots. The curriculum is Google Slides based, and can be tailored as desired. But GraviTrax is also great for free play....I run a GraviTrax Club for a homeschool co-op, and the kids are always quite creative.

    @RetroKrazy@RetroKrazy10 күн бұрын
    • Keep in mind that the build's goal was to accurately portray the form of the cathedral, with pillars, windows, and decorative elements all placed to produce a scale model.. Unlike a regular marble run, I couldn't place support elements just anywhere while also retaining that form. I had to squeeze a marble run into the cathedral's scaled architecture. The marble run actually was one long run that ran from beginning to end, but it utilized wireless GraviTrax POWER Triggers and Dome starters to regain height after marbles had descended the long spiral staircases which are located in positions accurately modeling the staircases of the real cathedral. Without these wireless connections, then after a marble descended one of these huge staircases, viideo viewers would have to wait about 2 minutes for a chain of GraviTrax POWER Elevators to lift that marble again from ground level to the top of one of the towers (it takes about 10 seconds per Elevator to lift a marble 7 height tiles). No one would watch the video through that repetitive boredom, nor was there room within the model to accommodate that many Elevators and have it run reliably. GraviTrax Elevators are very sensitive to any vertical misalignment, which can cause marbles to stall while being lifted. Once everything was built, there were significant areas of the marble run inside the model to which I didn't have access, so I had to build those areas simple and reliable so they would work without needing further fine-tuning or troubleshooting. I often had to film them using small cameras on the end of selfie sticks, or by dismantling parts of the cathedral to take a particular shot. Another consideration is I needed the marble run to release 8 marbles to ring the 2 bells (4 times each), and 7 marbles to run down the flying buttresses and shoot out the side of the cathedral. So this marble run could not simply be a single marble running from beginning to end. I needed marble cascades, and GraviTrax POWER battery-powered Starters coupled with wireless triggers was the best way to do that. The GraviTrax Releaser could also do this, but that element is not yet released in the USA. Thanks for watching! 🤠
