  • just stumbled on this channel a couple days ago and it's really opened my eyes to how much the cubing scene has changed and developed. When I started, 7 years ago, magnets in cubes were unheard of, redKB was my favorite channel on youtube and the best cubes on the market weren't 60 dollars. It's been really fun rediscovering this old world and picking up my yulong for the first time in years, thanks for the nostalgia trip :)

    • same. cubing feels like a nostalgic childhood memory too for me. when i started cubing, redkb was probably the most popular cubing channel, magnets in cubes were rare, and cubes were very cheap. i actually used a very cheap cube which doesnt cornercut that good, my solves were like 30s (i didnt learn full cfop back then). 2 years ago i just picked cubing back up and im in love with it.

      @P4R5@P4R5 Жыл бұрын
    • @@P4R5 When I solve now I have to keep the flow going cuz the memory of what the algs actually are is completely gone, it's all muscle memory. My best time was 16 seconds on a lucky solve, but average 30 back in middle school, and my cube I've had for like 6 years cost me less than 20. Don't know if I'll fully pick cubing up again but I'm glad it'll be with me for ages :)

  • The last two puzzles with centers actually remind me of the Master Pyraminx center moves. If anything, the last one is a simplified Master Pyraminx (where the edge pieces are all fused and the tips are fused to their “centers”) or a Jing’s Pyraminx (which is actually based on a Skewb mechanism).
