I love how you agree with everything one version of him says so hard and then he shows himself killing that version IMMEDIATELY. I think this song wants to say that you can have a lot of different perspectives on things and not necessarily "be" any one of them. Sometimes you even disagree with yourself a day later, or a year later, when you think about it more or when you are in a different mood. Tyler has changed a lot in a permanent way, but who he used to be and who he is today are just different versions of himself that never really go away and never really "take over" for good.
