    • People will tell you to not care, but you will care. You have to care. It's your art, and no matter how much we delude ourselves into thinking we make art for ourselves...we don't. Art is communication. Art is a connection between two people, creator and viewer. You care what people think because you are human. The trick isn't shutting off your emotion, it's facing it and learning how to process that pain. Art is a painful process. You take a piece of your soul, toss it on the page, and serve it up to the masses to be consumed. You'll never get that piece of your soul back. Every piece of art will cost you something. What's important is that you're getting something in return. Your art needs to improve your life somehow for it to be worth it. It has to help your emotional state, your relationships, the world at large, or anything else you care about. If you only make art as a business venture, give up now. You will never make it. But if you make art because it makes your life better, despite what it costs, then you can get through the pain of rejection. It's just life. Let it happen to you. Live.

    • That’s not what he said at all dumbass. He’s comparing the different models of film (theaters vs streaming) and how so many people see things on streaming that they wouldn’t normally see in theaters. More people. Y’all read anti snyder headlines and join the hate train

  • when tf will we FINALLY get genuine first person perspective stories instead of this hybrid 2nd/3rd person style due to the limitations of camera sizes. its been dabbled in with mixed results but i could see 5d theaters with vr headsets where you are on the journey with the character as if you're one of the people in head heads of john malkovich

    • Because he’s a poser that acts like he’s the best filmmaker in the world but his movies are mediocre at best and he shifts blame when his movies get destroyed by critics and makes up excuses by offering different versions but the they’re still just longer bad movies. Literally no other director does this.
