The Snyder cut of this interview is probably 35 minutes
and at least 50% of that is in slow mo
Id still watch it
Id still watch it
@@mintnitewith a darkened filter.
😂😂😂😂😂
"Why is there so much slow-mo, Zack?" "Because slow-mo is awesome" is the most Zack Snyder answer he could have possibly given
Well it is awesome
He said more than that tho
Its funny how many slow motion there is on Dune 1 and 2 but everybody spit at Zack Snyder because he makes it.
@@giannisksanthopoulos4300 Because they were done right, in JL and Rebel Moon, majority of the Slo-Mo were nonsense and just made the movies longer.
@@joevaldez4889 "done right" explain what that means. You can't say just that and walk away. Explain yourself!!! Or you just repeating what everybody is saying. Like the sheeps...when one say MEEEE.... everybody after them MEEEEEEE Are you like that?
12:26 I'm amazed after everything he went through with WB Executives he'd be so gracious answering the studio executive question.
100%. He’s a better man than me. Zack is always a class act
He was an Executive Producer himself on every DCEU film after Justice League. Everyone kinda ignore it.
@@Hjartulv I believe a lot of those were Legacy credits
@@JDaddy_SZN it's not. He invested a lot of his money, and has power to decide how films will look. Doesn't means his actually doing something.
@@Hjartulvtrue, but a lot of those movies have multiple executive producers, so he gets a measure of input, but not that much control.
I don’t love most of his movies, but he seems like a very down to earth guy who knows what he wants and just goes for it. I have to respect that
Well put. I'm pretty much the same. Sometimes I do find Snyder's attitude annoying though.
I was just about to say the same
He’s not a great storyteller in my opinion. His best movies are the ones where he has the least creative freedom which are his earlier ones.
Yeah, the guy can't make a movie to save his life. But I remember way back, I was working at a studio during the late days of production for Batman v Superman, so he was in and out a lot. We ran into each other a ton, and he was always extremely kind and gracious. In a town where so many people are just horrible to you and make it known that you are just a vehicle to their own ends, you really remember the kind ones. I remember assistants didn't treat me half as well as he did.
@@chubbs1448This comment is hilarious. He can’t make a movie to save his life? And you can? Go make a short film, upload it on youtube, and let’s see how it compares. It’s so easy to judge something than create it yourself. Man, I hope this happens.
I can't wait for Zach's 2 hour director's cut of this interview. Shirtless, with spray painted abs, in black and white, and lots of slow motion.
He's a huge lifter. I promise no painted on six pack would be needed. Lol
@@manofmartin he needs a CGI mustache
@@michaelcohen4513different director did that.
with added digital blood and at least 2 r*pe scenes in glorious sepia re-colouring in 1:3.12313 ratio
Zack never made Raped scene .but sure.. whatever works for u@@christian-mosesholtz5458
"There used to be a thing called DVDs" ah geez
As a filmmaker, this guy just answered the questions I was asking my college teachers for years.
Wow so original
Love or hate his movies, Zack seems like a genuinely nice, passionate and hardworking filmmaker. He has an energy about him that I can't help but admire.
I feel like punching him in the face every time a word comes out of his mouth 😂
Yeah so? Just because he's a nice, passionate, hardworking filmmaker doesn't mean that I'm gonna like every single one of his movies
@@4deleDaz33mand nobody is telling you to, feel free to love and hate man
Of course, we're giving away awards for effort and passion.
Good or bad director... the man is confident about his job I respect that ^^
Yep, he believes in what he does. Have to appreciate that focus
He is ambitious & passionate about his projects even if not everyone, myself included, enjoys everything he does.
Good for him
He also seems like a good man who respects his cast and crew. Everyone who works with him seems to have a great experience
Ed Wood and Uwe Boll were confident about their jobs
ok so slo-mo focus on heroic moments in action scenes, but there is a guy filling his water bottle and the scene is in slowmotion...wtf??
I really appreciated the slow-motion scenes of them harvesting grain, it really makes you stop and think, “Wow, that’s some heroic agriculture they’re doing.”
He already said... It's awesome
@@PBurns-ng3gw get to appreciate each seed to the full
@@mithruikka that's what she said
@@mithruikkaoh she appreciated then alright. 😏
I like how both Zack and his fans are blissfully content with him being literally the Uwe Bowl of modern Hollywood
He's nothing like uwe boll
@@thewitcherking937 You're right, he's worse
This is the first time I'm seeing what Zack Snyder actually looks like
"There used to be a thing called DVD's." Gosh I'm so old.😢
The fact that he said he didn’t see the “other” version of Justice League is so based
Remember, Nolan told him, "you don't want to watch it". A friend watching out for a friend
@@joemish4540🤯where can I read about it??
@@hedwigtheowlGoogle and i think that information has been out for about 4 years now. I think Nolan's wife was there too since she also produced the snyder cut
he watched it
@@sibusisogumede94 Thanks
I didn't know Zack was answering random tweets 😭
Missed the change to make him say "SloMo is awesome" also be played in SloMo.
So why are there so many slow motion scenes of farming? That just makes people fall asleep.
There is only one scene of them farming.
@@thewitcherking937 regardless its still a scene where he says "slow mo is heroic" whats heroic of farming
I guess it's heroic to appreciate the slowness but inevitability of planting and waiting for the harvest.
I have a 4:3 monitor I want to upgrade but currently using an old one. I was thrilled to watch snyder cut on my monitor. No black rectangles.
@@someone-wo5nu I actually prefer using a 4:3 CRT monitor. Mine is HD and 60hz, it's just more visually fluid and doesn't put too much stress on my graphics card which helps with my process.
Zack Snyder saying he's never seen Josstice league is both an understandably heartbreaking statement and a devastating sneak diss towards that cut of the movie.
The other version exists because he decided to leave the project. Why would it be a devastating sneak diss?
@@rayawira Because he probably doesn't want to watch a movie that's tied so closely to his child's death (heartbreaking), but I'd imagine he also hasn't seen it because of its poor critical reception and massive changes to his original source material that he's pretty passionate about (sneak diss).
That Josstice league is actually better than his recent horeshite of a movie tbh
I think not reading online reviews about your film is fair, like he said you could go down a deep rabbit hole and having a more controlled group watch is better
There's always gonna be someone who doesn't like something. It would cause endless amounts of stress trying to appease everyone.
Maybe he should listen to the advice because he can't write a movie to save his life.
No it's not fair, it just shows arrogance, like if you think you don't need actual feedback only focus groups of your own choosing to determine if your movies are likeable then you just have your head way too far up your 4ss
@@pats3212 i mean on one end yeah your right. but even someone like nolan has people who despise his movies, and you cant really apease everyone. i think thats where he was going with that, but in his case....
I submitted a question to this Q&A about a deleted scene in ZSJL. It's not featured here. I wonder if there is a SnyderCut of this interview out there...
We want the Snyder cut of this interview
I like slow motion, I do think it adds to the embellishment of heroic moments that heroes go through… but the AMOUNT of slow motion in the first moon that is the problem. It was offensive
Slow-mo helps with the action, he says... And then slow-mo's GRAIN... IN BOTH MOVIES...
slo mo is extremely O V E R DONE and even extreme SLO MO...i get what hes saying about capturing and appreciate the composition but moderation dude. slo mo is to Zach Snyder what lens flare is to JJ abrams
Simply put, neither are good directors. They're too in love with their own pretentiousness.
@@AFLoneWolfinteresting take, their movies are popcorn blockbuster movies, vs movies made for Oscars, directors and actors. I think you might be confusing signature style with pretension. Snyder films you know you’re going to get dark tones, dreary outlooks by the characters and slow motion action. JJ will get action, bright colors, light comedy one liners and some positive emotional involvement
To each their own. It's what makes Zack iconic. I always wonder why people are so critical about it. Like they need to tell people every chance they get. Like we know. It's not a secret. Hating on Zach is weird and cringe because people go out of their way like this. Click on this video and leave this comment. Pathetic
@@BlackEagle352 oh no, someone posted their opinion about the video under the video. How weird and cringe. Self reflection, dude
@@BlackEagle352 He can't write a good story to save his life. But his cult fanbase will still cope for him.
This is such an informative interview.it's always awesome to hear Zack Snyder talking about his filmmaking process.
Peter Jackson had a huge directors cut in Lord of the rings trilogy
Peter Jackson says the director's cut is the theatrical cut. The extended editions are just a bonus for the fans, but they're not his preferred versions of the movies.
Peter Jackson didnt need a director's cut for LOTR to be great, the theatrical cuts were amazing by themselves, Zack uses the director cut as an excuse to bad reception of his films
I actually spent good time and money putting the Snyder Cut onto VHS, including making my own sleave. Spent three weeks on the whole thing. Added adverts and all. Worth it.
I can’t believe Houdini did this
I was admiring this until I read “added adverts”. Genuinely curious, why on earth would you add adverts?
I find it crazy how people hate on this genius guys movies. Yall couldn't even make a short film of a coin dropping
I really enjoyed this although I also don't like newest Snider's movies but still I think this was so inspiring as we can know the person behind and how he works and the experience out of all those projects.
I like Zack Snyder he seems like an awesome guy. I just hope he sticks to directing more in the future and collaborates with talented writers
Well he should cus the guy cannot write at all
I like Snyder’s enthusiasm. I’m just going to go positive with this.
The "heroic slow mo" in rebel moon just makes it clear that the main characters special skill is just not being shot at.
What a legend!!
Never stop with these support videos I beg you
Rebel Moon was trash man, idk what you were doing with that one
Snyder in Family showing: “so what do you guys think it’s amazing right ?” Family looks at each other: “um, yes wow it’s good oh man, yea amazing, blown away, never seen anything like it” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
To the moon with Eledator!
Get this man to direct a Gears of War movie with Dave Bautista 🙏🙏
That would be very interesting!
Can't wait for the Definitive Cuts
It’s been a long time seeing Zack I hope he’s doing better
Give us the Snyder cut of this video!
Whenever I see Zack Snyder, and of course any of his films, I just think to myself, this man should really be a cinematographer and not a director. The guy is clearly fascinated by the visual aspects of movies and he genuinely has a lot of talent for creating images. But he also does not know how to tell a story.
this is like getting milli vanilli to answer questions about live performances
Man is pretty much known more for having snyder-cuts than making the dceu movies at this point
I love how him shooting Justice League in 4:3 kinda screwed over the studio and Joss Whedon’s theatrical cut when editing it. They had to zoom in most of the battle scenes and shoot almost an hour of additional footage to make their terrible movie.
Having zack snyder be your official "filmmaking support" guy is like having air bud be your "basketball support" guy
How is that a problem? That dog won championships.
YESSS been waiting for this one!!!!!!!
I'd ask "how do you handle a passion project being totally shredded by reviewers and audience?". Unironically, how does one handle that. I guess if it breaks even, its easier to move on :/
As with any art, you just don't care. The art is your statement and everyone ever will perceive it differently. Do you think Picasso cared when some random dude told him that he cannot make out his painting?
@@BalashToth You say that as if it's a good thing.
People will tell you to not care, but you will care. You have to care. It's your art, and no matter how much we delude ourselves into thinking we make art for ourselves...we don't. Art is communication. Art is a connection between two people, creator and viewer. You care what people think because you are human. The trick isn't shutting off your emotion, it's facing it and learning how to process that pain. Art is a painful process. You take a piece of your soul, toss it on the page, and serve it up to the masses to be consumed. You'll never get that piece of your soul back. Every piece of art will cost you something. What's important is that you're getting something in return. Your art needs to improve your life somehow for it to be worth it. It has to help your emotional state, your relationships, the world at large, or anything else you care about. If you only make art as a business venture, give up now. You will never make it. But if you make art because it makes your life better, despite what it costs, then you can get through the pain of rejection. It's just life. Let it happen to you. Live.
Take a day to yourself, take plenty of bong hits, and watch BvS extended version, and his version of Justice league, and youll see details you never knew were there
Literally
Gotta tell you, its the bongs, the details aren't actually there
@@garethhughes7430 They are they are just not very good and actually make his movies worse.
“Super cool angles, lots of slow motion”😂😂😂😂😂
Why justice leage graphics looks like black and white
slow motion can go too far and ruin things too. kingsman 2 is absolutely slathered in slowmo that does nothing but highlight how bad the digi doubles they're using for the slowmo stunts are.
He does a theatrical cut on the reading of all these tweets.
Synder fans make Star Wars fans look like Neurodivergents-Th3Birdman
Omg he's so nice
Zach Snyder having forearm tattoos, was something I wasn't expecting, but at the same time is the least surprising thing I learned in a while.
Does he really believe Rebel Moon would've made one MORBILLION dollars if it was released in theaters beating Barbie??
Yea he actually does. Just like he believes his movies are amazing and groundbreaking. Maybe if he would have made The Matrix but Rebel Moon ? Lol it’s a joke.
That’s not what he said at all dumbass. He’s comparing the different models of film (theaters vs streaming) and how so many people see things on streaming that they wouldn’t normally see in theaters. More people. Y’all read anti snyder headlines and join the hate train
If Rebel Moon didn't have that much slo mo, I probably would have enjoyed it.
❤️ Zack Snyder movies and seems like a cool guy. I can’t wait for Rebel Moon Part on the 11th.🙌🏽
Is there a version of this interview directed by Joss Whedon?
Great vid
You know maybe now that I think of it maybe he could’ve used some more reception for rebel moon
Such a baller move that he has never seen the non-Snyder cut version of Justice League
If you need a film to be 4 hours and the film is still not that good, you’re not a baller. You’re a poser. Posing as a good filmmaker.
I wished there would come a 2nd justice league zack snyder 👇 only a like if u for it
I actually enjoyed scarier much more than the first one. Wasn’t expecting anything.
Zack Snyder's enthusiasm has not waned one bit since his days at ArtCenter College of Design.
when tf will we FINALLY get genuine first person perspective stories instead of this hybrid 2nd/3rd person style due to the limitations of camera sizes. its been dabbled in with mixed results but i could see 5d theaters with vr headsets where you are on the journey with the character as if you're one of the people in head heads of john malkovich
What a great interview.
Yeah we need a Snyder Cut of this interview.
I want the GD Snyder Cut of this interview! 😅
Super chill dude
what´s horoic on cutting wheat that earn a slowmo?
Not all of his movies hit for me, but Zack’s the man
He looks absolutely like I imagined him (never saw him before)
love Zach Snyder and loved this interview, thanks!
The slow mo killed rebel moon for me
Thank you for ZSJL. What an epic.
Zack is not a director. He’s an artist.
All directors are artists because filmmaking is an art, this is like saying Kurt Cobain wasn't a musician he was an artist...
Marcel directors are not artists
Thank you for the Snyder cut justice League, I watched more than 30 times already, thank you Mr Snyder...
I see more hate aimed towards Zack Snyder than pretty much any other person on Earth, okay you don't like his movies, whatever... but how can you hate on such a nice guy ?
I think you need to go out more if you really think Snyder is the most hated man on Earth
I also think you need to go out more if you think he seems like a nice guy
Because he’s a poser that acts like he’s the best filmmaker in the world but his movies are mediocre at best and he shifts blame when his movies get destroyed by critics and makes up excuses by offering different versions but the they’re still just longer bad movies. Literally no other director does this.
What is on that laptop's display that is so green?
Can Zack Snyder and Michael Bay please team up to do Bad Boys in Space?
😂 Fast and Furious levels of beating a dead horse.
slow mo explosions
Or just A Space Cops movie based on Bad Boys ?
I like how he pronounce "kun" lol.
If you want to kill a movie, hire Zack Snyder. He has this incredible talent for directing full length movies without any shred of emotion or character. This man is for real.
😂
Awesome!
Really wished he continued with his army movies instead of rebel moon Army of the dead Army of thieves Army of robots Army of aliens Etc
I’m sad nobody asked him why the movies became so dark.
Hey, I *loved* Watchmen. I don't care what critics said about it.
This is the first time I watch Zack Snyder talking and I have to say he reminds me a lot of John Cena. Like he looks like a slim version of Cena
Zack Snyder is a really good story maker and a good director too
Like tolerance days for a stoner, Zac should make a couple of slo-mo free films here and there...4on/2off..
He reminds of me of Ed Wood.
Why did I get the 4:3 snyder cut of this video
But.......the over-using of slow-mo is making the story-telling painfully slow.
The goat❤️❤️
Eh

100 MILLIONS DOLLARS----IRFAN GOKCE-----DAWN OF THE DEAD 2004
