Ooooo I have a 60 keyboard sounds bad I might get this in the future
hiii can you give me your dc link
hey i have a question Can i pay you mod my keyboard or something else because i been wanting to mod my keyboard but im to scared that ill mess it up or break it if you can help me text me back please
you have great hands...could be a hand model
Good looking quality pre-built keyboard from a major manufacturer, & actually kinda like that gimicky animated display as it’s something new & unique. BUT I think it’s a bit overpriced for what it is (especially compared to what you can get for the same or slightly higher priced custom keyboards).
this ^
I like the matrix too, it’s different
For a Pre-Built Keyboard, it's impressive and possible to Mod but it feels like it's for either the lazy mech keeb user or for those who really wants to Mod an Asus. No matter what, this board will never compete against the usual custom keyboard built from scratch. It's like you said, the price is really too high for what it is. The extra feature is nice though.
Meant more for the gaming industry than the custom so you can’t compare them well. Neither would I even compare gaming keebs vs customs. But yeah, it is overpriced.
@@joshki1962 That’s true, but at the same time it’s priced in the same realm as some decent custom boards that many also use for gaming, which is why you also can compare them.
a 60 percent version or tkl would be great also maybe another choice of switches
A tkl version of this would be my dream
You got the Pulsar PCMK (tkl or 60), with detachable usb-c cable and half the price.
@@BFF.Studios Yup it's another option but the stabilizers are better on the Pulsar.
there is some different variation of switches
@@BFF.Studios its not that good there are much better options for lover the price
I like the media controls on the left. Not crazy about the thick cable. I'd give up the passthrough to have a more slim (and detachable) cable. This seems good for a prebuilt from a big "we make everything" brand.
I personally won't use a keyboard WITHOUT the numeric keypad. I realize there are those who don't need it - fine for you. However I use it a LOT. It's good to see this keyboard. I liked the review - very thorough. I agree about the cord - would have been nice to have a removable cord. Cords wear out. My studio headphones have a replaceable cord - I've damaged the cord a couple of times. It was cheap to replace the cord. Corded items should have replaceable cords.
Devils advocate, it's easier to replace a non removable cord than it is to replace a surface mounted USB port that has bent off the PCB due to being dropped at a weird angle while plugged in or something like that.
@@stop_tryharding you probably rage a lot if you think that is a problem.
@@huckleberryjam4975 No. I just don't use a desk for most of my home computing. I sit on a recliner in a media room with two 50 inch "monitors" on the wall, with a keyboard in my lap and my mousepad on a platform that I made that slides over the arm of the chair. I've also got another 'mouse' platform for the left arm that I made to accommodate a HOTAS setup when I play flight sims, and a whole 'tv tray' thing on wheels that I have a racing wheel mounted to for when I want to play racing sims. It sounds odd, but it's very comfortable, versatile for the sim games I like to play, and honestly after working all day the last thing I want to do when I come home and decide to play vidya is sit at another friggin desk. But anyway, I digress. I've never found a wireless keyboard and mouse that I've been happy with in regards to latency, probably because it's cumulative with input lag from monitors, and even 'good' input lag on a TV is at best 'okay' compared to a good gaming monitor. Combine that with wireless peripheral latency and it becomes awful. If you move your keyboard around a lot, like say taking it off your lap to set on the table next to the recliner when you get up for some reason, that puts stresses on the cord/port that don't happen when you're just leaving your keyboard sitting on a desk. I've had a couple different keyboards with detachable Micro B cables and they all ended up failing. Usually the cables. I did have a CM Masterkeys where the whole port ended up getting jacked up from the stress. The keyboard I just ordered has removable USB 3, hoping that since the connector is more robust it will be less prone to issues. It isn't ideal for my weird use case, but as you probably know, buying a keyboard when you want something more than your typical consumer fare is a matter of balancing different considerations and compromise. I'm handy with a soldering iron so if the connector fails or it eats a cable every other week I can always just hard wire it myself with a little time and solder. Anyway sorry for the novel, the point of all this is was just to say that there are odd use cases where a hard wired cable is actually preferable.
I love your calm voice like old video, not really overreacting. Need more like this one
Wow, that’s a huge development in the keeb world. I appreciate you making a point to make the FAIR comparison with the stabs. Those stabs are very good considering it’s a big-store mass-produced board. Plus the fact that it’s hot swap, which can be rare for something in this area of the market (good luck finding hot swap at the department store). Those accessories are great, too-good to see a unique switch puller and unique wrist rest attachment style to show that they actually put their own thought into the product.
She really gets into details, and that's what I like
Thank you for slowly getting me more and more into keyboards Betty! I currently have a RK84 and I'm slowly modding it! I still remember the video that got me into your vids was "I upgraded the most popular keyboard ever" so thank you again for making videos! PS: I love that you usually have "Galdin Quay" bgm playing in the background :D
your'e welcome 😄
@@SwitchandClickOfficial you're*
I finally see a bit of myself in your videos with the Fitbit and the Slice box cutter. I'm sure I just wasn't paying close enough attention before.
Haha nice
Man thats a nice keyboard review, youre exactly the right amount of reasonable interested in the product just watched the ars technica presentation and i almost lost my will to live. I didnt even want to watch a keyboard review but i just had to find someone who does it better. Thank you, ill watch more keyboard reviews im not interested in now
This video was released on my birthday, very cool Switch and Click.
Your desktop mat is so freaking awesome!!
Thanks!
Yeees! another upload 4 minutes ago! (in my time) can you also do a review of the rk100?
Love the stardew music in the background!
I love your videos for such a long time U inspired me to get a mechanical keyboard so much so I build my very own so thanks
That's awesome!
Wait... A HOT SWAP FROM ASUS? Asus: How the tables have turned
Oh how the turned tables
the turns have tabled
@@knuckelz8923 Tabled have turns
This is pretty good for a gaming keyboards and a big brand, since it’s normally too expensive for more known brands too afford this stuff
Tbh, hot-swap keyboards are awesome, it's nice to see more brands are taking that into consideration!
I really love how she puts emotion in all of her videos-
thanks!
The quality is honestly very good. Can’t wait for the tkl. If they will listen and release a tkl with removable cable
Awesome! That looks really cool! I hope you can make a Tofu 60 because I might buy one!
These videos bring my day such joy
a 75% or 84% barebone variant of this keyboard with the same media keys and a detachable cable would get me sold pretty easily
I'm ngl I'd prefer it to stay at 100% but I'm with you on everything else, that'd get sold instantly
0:01 apparently thats the yakuza 0 US opening song lol very cultured, betty
Now that's what I'm lookin for!
Because of this content i subs to your glorious channel. I bought that keyboard i still didnt open it yet, because i will change the switch to Neopolitan Ice Cream switch from Cannonkeys. Im pretty excited tho.. thanks for this review 🥰🥰🥰
This board in TKL would be awesome!
These keycaps looks beautifull!!! I love nummber row, minimalistic!
that’s hella cool, especially the name! chonkeh cable tho
thanks for doing my idea on stream swich and click :)
I still think that 220$ is way too expensive for a pre-built that isn't modded, but great job ASUS I didn't expect a hot-swap keeb from you !!! Also nice video as always betty
I find it weird that all pre-built keebs from major companies are 100%. It just seems too big at least for me, maybe people have different opinions
@@neot7602 yeah thats what ive been thinking about too. But most of the major companies now make TKL,60%,65%,75%. So they're trying out new layouts now, because of the complaints
Sadly the keychron Q6 pre build costs 250 euro here. You dont have too many full size options and many reviews of the asus are pretty positive.
@@neot7602 u can also get smaller one from asus like the RX Scope or the Falchion. On the Claymore 2 u can also detach the numpad if u want
I like your opinion and this keyboard. I've been using a MS Internet Keyboard Pro for over 17 years. Been checking any notable upgrades over the years. It's about USD 189 in my country retail, I think I'll wait for discount sales.
This keyboard bout to be lit🔥🔥🔥
The screen is the best part :D
ngl you made it more better than it already is like am being fr
love your videos... hope you get 1m subs soon
Thank you!
i love the yakuza intro... nice to see people getting to play thing amazing game
"They put everything they knew about mechanical keyboard in this" which is to say they didn't put that many features in it.
Didn’t know asus made keyboards, you learn something new every day
pretty small detail about the vid, but i loved hearing the galdin quay's theme!
Glad to hear!
I’m relatively new to all this. Just built my first pc. Would love to see a video comparing or at least talking about options for keyboard kits that I could build myself. Where to get them, prices, that sort of thing. Thanks!
Just want to chime in and say if you're wanting a full-size keyboard (with numpad) there's not really a market for that in the custom world. Best bet would be finding a hotswap prebuilt like this or the GMMK full size, and customizing it with your own switches and keycaps. Otherwise, there's a decent amount of options for keyboard kits for any other size.
This one's calming I like it
hotswap on a mass market board could get more people excited about the hobby
Finally a full sized hot swap, I just with the media keys were on the right
That Wii Sports music though. *chefs kiss*
I knew that shortly after I bought my Flare they would come out with an update. :-)
I was wondering what that deskmat is. It looks beautiful
Hello switch and click, I had a keyboard question. I currently have Cherry mx reds and I foam modded my keyboard. My keyboard sounds pretty good, but it is kind of scratchy. Is it worth desouldering my whole pcb just to lube them? And if I would desoulder, should I just get a better switch? Like feker holy pandas? I have the keychron c1 btw
haven't watched the whole thing but so far it looks nice
Nice review. This one is a bit much (cost and size) for me, so I continue searching for a full size keyboard that works for me. I'd love to see a 'best full size keyboard' video. Personally I love the look of the Blackwidow V3 Pro (which I own), with its nice glowy volume knob and clean frame/font/rgb, but the stabilisers are terrible, with major rattle on all large keys to compound the clicky blue switches. It also has over-bright white indicator lights for caps lock etc. The K70 seems to suffer from a fair bit of rattle too, based on your other video, so that's out. I need RGB to see my keys at night (I often work and game in a dark room), so possibly the Ducky Shine 7 would work, though it is super expensive. Currently leaning towards the Steelseries Apex 7. Any other suggestions?
1 question: why dont you want a 60% or a 80% keeb?
could you please do a review on the tecsee carrots? they sound really good!!
Asus: We put everything they knew into it Switches: But I am only semi-lubed :(
8:00 what is the keyboared you have on your desk it looks soo nice
I'm so close to buying this (more likely the non animate version) only because the Keychron Q6 is so hard to get and too expensive @ 249 euro. Looking for a full size keyboard and it seems like nobody uses them anymore. Ducky one 3 is also on the list. Any recommendations I should consider? Thanks
Thx for information
Welcome!
I initially ready this as ASMR and got confused lol
I was watching the video and didn’t know if I was tripping out or not from playing FFXV too but am I hearing the Galdin Quay theme around 3:53??
nice video and thank you for the advice that my first custom keyboard is worth i just bought all the parts thank you:)
You're welcome!
You got a pretty good taste in mice. I see there the roccat kone pro i think.
If you like that id recommend the azoth all day. I moved to one from a falchion and its fantastic. As far as gaming keyboards go nothing comes close.
man i love your videos!
Thank you!
Love the bg songs haha
i feel like a bunch of budget barebones kit and build it yourself would be better like the tm680...btw i joined ur discord server i rlly like the community :) they helped me out and gave me a list of budget keebs :)
Imagine how cool it would be if you modded this keyboard.
sounds pretty good for a pre-built mechanical keyboard.
I really like your deskmat, but couldn't find it in your links in the description box. Do you (or anyone here) know where you bought it? Great video btw! Your reviews are awesome.

im really like this keyboard after this video bought one
let me just say, you have an amazing, calming voice. Your voice made me feel pretty tired. I love your vids btw. And i joined your discord server ;)
Thank you!
I honestly thought it would be worse but it seems like a great keyboard
how's the keycaps sizes? are all of them using the standard size, or some of them are on a different size like Razer, Corsair, and Logitech boards?
Asus : We Give you Hotswap Mechanical Keyboard Me : hmm ok. Asus : and there is a Gundam Theme Version Me : take my money!
Besides you being really pretty, and I love your nails, where did you get that mouse from? The buttons light up, and I want to get one!
That ring is really cool, where did u get it
So I just bought this same keyboard but the box bown. I Swapped out switches with Akko reds. But which keycaps would you recommended with led compatibility
Wow so cool im actually trying to build a new keyboard a tofu 65 any suggestions on what switches
Yes dad,I need it for studying
It’s interesting

indeed
compare to Corsair k100 and Logitech g815 and Asus Strix here which one has the best typing experience in terms of key stabilization?
I watched the live stream and as soon as I saw the notification I said, “YES! Finally I can talk to one of my favorite KZheadrs” then I saw members only then I felt betrayed 😩
When recommendations is faster then notifications
Box Jades for the win ! Heck Box Navy even better !
Damn that a different type of keyboard, never seen something like that tho
Can you check out the Pwnage Ultra Custom Keyboard? they make my favorite mouse and i’m curious how their board stacks up 😊
You should review the Corsair k100
great video!! pls make a video guessing peoples switches only by the sound!
I love the mousemat, what is it called? 😍
Actually looks good and looks like something I'd recommend to non-builders who want full size.
whats the background music at 4:18 from? nvm found it it was FFXV beach music
You are in a Linus Tech Tips video about a Reddragon Keyboard!!!!
Oh hey! I was on the Twitch stream making fun of the name!
Looks nice
We know, i saw it on ur livestream and it was epik
Going hotswap and still keeping the co-star stabilizers is kinda weird but the keyboard itself looks really good for a prebuilt imo. TKL would be nice but i think it would sacrifice the animation thing at the corner, which is one of the most attractive things about the board imo
Hotswap, because its for gamers, and gaymers will extensively use their keyboard. They’re gonna need to replace the switches if they want it to last
@@joshki1962 i get that but my gripe is with the type of stabilizers they used. Co-star stabilizers make swapping switches so much more difficult. Cherry style stabilizers would be much easier.
@@Billy_The_Frog Yeah i was gonna mention that. Costar sucks
I'm sorry, but "AniMe" part almost made me choke on my drink xD
my brother just walked in and called this a sus keyboard, im gonna die
hey can you do a video about the Logitech G513 (with the brown switches) and also open the keyboard? I know that it a little old...
Wait so can you please do it?
what's better anne pro 2 or lk67 with gateron red and hyperx pudding keycaps?
can you try firewolf keyboard i have firewolf keyboard but i don't know what their switches is i cant take it off cuz I'm scared it might break

Can you review the shinobi white shark keyboards please?
