The betrayal from jasmine felt kinda expected ever since she started talking with Alec, but it's still kinda sad that they took the cars
She was really giving some spoiled brat vibes. It's like if Ana Revera from heat was the villian.
I think they were leaning into that though, setting up the robbery given we knew from the start a robbery would happen and upset the 2 friends. So feels like they set it up fairly obvious tbh
And the money
Predictable, but enjoyable nontheless. The setup into us regaining back the lost is nice

I really love how the story started with characters your player is familiar. Unlike heat where you are just a random person who got dragged by someone into their family issues and you have to solve it for them.
That solution is usually better though, introducing characters to the player at the same time as to the protagonist very often works better. Heat had different issues, but that wasn't one of them

Or Payback, which actually also starts with someone betraying you (Lina), except that she got introduced like a minute beforehand and afterwards they expected one to make a connection. (Granted, Payback had a whole lot of other issues.)
When I started the game, I try to customized a Nissan Silvia from the trailers (which turned out to be pretty decent) and after this betrayal, I was 💀, all that hard work for nothing just to see her use it and re-customize the car, which had me 💀💀

31:44 Even if you don't buy the legendary body kit for your "starter" car, she'll bring it back with the body kit on; once she takes your car she'll modify it like that.
And also upgrade the car. So it's like Most Wanted, where your starter car is slow at first, then Clarence modifies it, and you get a faster version at the end
I really like the idea of the Hero car being a car you choose.

i first played the game for a couple hours last night, and i have to say, getting the opportunity to customize your car and make a bunch of money only to lose it all is actually an amazing prologue. really reminds me of most wanted 05 where you lose the m3, now i actually feel invested in the game because i wanna get revenge on jasmine, it really adds a lot to the story. even the driving effects are starting to grow on me. overall, i actually think criterion did a phenomenal job on unbound

I was impressed by how well the effects just kinda blend into the game. I didn't find them too distracting and actually think they fit the style of the game well. Also pleasantly surprised by little things like the licensed vans, the number of car culture brand stickers and slap stickers, the licensed tires, painting the brake calipers, headlights etc.
And real USA license plates, ive missed these since Midnight Club
@@MedicalBillz Yes. Also after I made my comment he mentioned the parked cars and that reminded me I was going to say the city feels more real to me than previous games while racing.
I love the decision to rip away the player's car, in that scene i was like "WHAT THE HECK WHY THEY DO THIS TO ME!" But i wish when doing that it had more of that center or maybe like a 2 step story ig!

It's not that you are too grippy, it's that if you use burst nitrous while doing a corner it will launch you forward so you can make sharp corners faster (Also, you get a outline when you do a perfect launch, you can also seen it on the NPCs)

The opening betrayal also kind of has need for speed payback vibes when lena betrays the crew and steals the regera
It stems all the way back to Most Wanted when Razor cheats you out of your M3 GTR. Since then, revenge stories have been very popular in NFS games

@@f687sNFM Yeah Razor cheated. His friends did something to our ride in the beginning of the race thats why they where laughing. The cop girl(Mia) only told us that our ride left an oil leak at the starting line
@@f687sNFM Yeah, Mia said after you're released from jail that they messed with your ride. That's why Ronnie says "How's your car running?", laughing away with Bull. Most Wanted remains so popular that NFS has been doing similar revenge stories since then.

One thing I found about the effects is that you can see what the other cars are doing as well. So you can plan your moves a little ahead of time.

It’s great! I am a bit confused though, so anytime you go to the garage it changes the day to night and vic versa? So if you forget to do an upgrade or something or you want to swap a car midday you can’t? Or have to go a whole other day? Not sure I like that.

I just did a quick google search, possums can’t have regular cows milk because the lactose will cause diarrhea, slow of growth, or death but there are milk formulas that can be used to feed a possum

Found this online dunno how accurate it is… The 2 deadly diseases that seem to take the lives of possums most often is Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and Cancer. Males in particular are prone to CHF, often effecting them at a much younger age then females. Arthritis effects nearly all possums at some point and it can become debilitating. Because of this, I urge people to do the following: Avoid feeding them junk foods, fatty foods and sugary foods. Possums (like anything else) don't miss what they have never had, so if you have a non-releaseable educational possum in your care and he/she is staring up at you with pleading eyes as your eating that dish of ice cream, do not cave in and offer a taste. There are plenty of healthy foods you can offer them instead such as a slice of apple, a couple blueberries, a leaf of kale (you get the picture).
